All the reviews here have been read, listened to and seen by myself and all
the opinions I offer are simply my own. I read extensively and share with you
the various books etc. that I feel are worthy to mention. Believe me, there is a
lot of rubbish out there and it's easy to read the wrong thing and end up more
confused than before you started.
If you would like a book reviewed,

John Bellamy
of course, we have to start with

by Dan Brown

This book seems to be on sale everywhere I go these days and I was given it for
my birthday in 2005, and considering I have a pile of books waiting to be read,
this one took my attention, and so it jumped the queue. I read it in just a couple
of nights as it was fun to read fiction for a change, even though a great deal
of the information within the book is 100% accurate and true.
Harvard professor, Robert Langdon receives an urgent phone call in the middle of
the night that the elderly curator of the Louvre Museum has been brutally
murdered inside the museum, and alongside the body the police have found a
series of baffling codes. As Langdon and a gifted French cryptologist begin to
sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to find a trail that leads to
the works of Leonardo Da Vinci - and suggests the answer to a mystery that
stretched deep into the vaults of history.
I enjoyed this book because it makes a change to read fiction and there is a
wealth of intricate truth running throughout, and it is told in an easy to
follow manner that for many, will make it readable, whereas the same material in
a more serious format would loose the reader.
There is much on the TV these days about
this book and the church and some journalists are falling over themselves to
damn and deny the truths within it, and other authors are claiming he has
stolen the truths from their books, but a truth is a truth and cannot be
owned by any one author. When the church comes out and does battle in the
manner it has over this book, you really have to ask yourself, WHAT
ARE THEY SO AFRAID ON. If, as some say, it is a load of crap,
then why worry, why get all hot under the collar and why make public statements
damning a piece of crap, unless - just maybe - it is NOT a piece of crap and the
church are scared. Scared that too much and too many truths are being shared
with the ignorant masses who make up their congregation and who may decide to
turn away and look elsewhere for truths, obviously denied by the church,
as this book indicates.
Dan Brown has certainly put the cat
amongst the pigeons.

The true story of Radical Islam
by Jason Burke
Penguin Books
Alarmingly, the most accurate information about Islamic extremism is coming not
from governments nor intelligence agencies, but from specialist journalists and
scholars... To this list should be added Jason Burke. The most reliable and
perceptive guide to the rise of militant Islam yet published... full of new and
important information, much of it gathered on the ground. His obvious knowledge
of, and affection for, the people of the region gives his grim message a
credibility lacking in the ranting of so many other commentators on 'Islamic
terror.'
'William Dalrymple' Observer
I thought it about time I knew a little about what the news is full of these
days and so bought and plodded my way through this book and was glad that I did.
To learn some of the basics and read about how these countries came to be the way
they are today, and the hand that the west had in creating what we see today as
terrorists, is amazing and frightening at the same time. The west has a great
deal to answer for and we cannot be complacent in our arrogance that we are far
away, for as the bombs in Madrid and London have shown, we MUST be responsible
for what our government is doing and WE MUST respect and value other cultures or
they will turn against us.
Created and financed by America, many f the organizations we now see as
terrorists were puppets of the CIA for decades until just dumped and deserted to
fend for themselves when their use was up... many turned against the very hand
that had once fed them, and to be honest, understandable so. The west... and
that means you and me ... have blood on our hands reaching back generations and
it will take so much more than bully boy tactics like Bush and Blair are
throwing around the world before we find a peaceful solution to the modern day
terrorist. You do not teach a child at school to be a bully in order to make
friends yet what role models do they have in modern day politicians and big
business.
It's a sad world heading on a slippery slope to disaster.

by Eric Schlosser
ISBN 0-141-00687-0

Britain eats more fast food than any other country in Europe. If it looks good
tastes good and it's cheap.
But the real costs never appear on the menu.
Eric Schlosser's explosive best selling book, turns from funny to terrifying as it tells the story
of the love affair with fast food.
I read this book with an open mouth from cover to cover as I had absolutely no
idea that there was so much crap - literally - in the food chain and how bad the
various chicken growers, cattle farmers and even potato farmers were being
treated by big business and how they manipulate governments in order to allow
unfit food stuff to be fed to children and the general population. The FDA (Food
and Drug Administration)- like the UK's FSA - ( Food Standards Authority ) it
would appear, are about as spineless as any organization dominated by the very
companies they are suppose to be checking on. Believe me, read this book and you
will think twice before eating meat again.
It's no use closing your eyes and pretending it doesn't effect you, because
every time to put meat in your mouth you are eating chemicals, anti biotic and
crap....by the ton and some from human waste. He tells how dead cats and dogs
are collected from vets and converted into food for the cows, and if you think
he is exaggerating
THINK AGAIN
A very interesting book and one that
MOST CERTAINLY is enlightening.
Please don't turn a blind eye as to what
you are putting in your mouth
NOT ON
THE LABEL
by Felicity Lawrence

Penguin Books
What really goes into the food on our plate ?
We no longer trust what we eat. We lurch instead from food scare to food scare
while farming is in crisis around the world. A handful of retailers and food
manufacturers exert unprecedented control over what we eat and where we buy it.
We have come to depend on processed food that is routinely adulterated.
In a series of undercover investigations, tracking some of the most popular food
stuff we eat at home, Felicity Lawrence travels from farms and factories to
pack houses and lorry depots across the world. She discovers why beef waste ends
up in chicken - why a third of apples are thrown away and why bread is full of
water and air. She meets the hidden armies of migrant workers exploited
throughout Britain on whom our supermarkets depend. And she shows how obesity,
blighted town centres, motorways clogged with juggernauts, environmentally
ravaged fields in Europe and starving small holders in Africa, are all
intricately related aspects of our new globalized, industrialized system of
twenty-first-century food production.
Like FAST FOOD NATION, this book will horrify and educate as to what has been
going on and why companies like Wall Mart and Tesco's have so much to answer
for. It's very easy and convenient for us to shop for global produce in just one
air conditioned super-store with parking while the farmers, manufacturers, field
workers and just about everyone else involved is SCREWED TO THE WALL AND ABUSED
by the very system that aims to bring you and I cheap food.
When you read how much of what we eat is produced.
When you understand how big business works to dominate.
When we as people say 'enough is enough' and are prepared to pay a little more
for our food and allow farmers - producers etc. to make a decent living without
almost 90% of the profit going to the likes of Tesco and NOT the farmers, then
maybe... just maybe... the mess that is our food industry will start to pay
attention and maybe, we as consumers,
will value paying a decent price for our food and
not keep expecting to by the cheapest around.
We spend a fortune on designer labels, mobile phones and digital TV and yet feed
ourselves and our children with cheap crap... and you know the adage...'You are
what you eat.'
Well - aren't you fed up with eating crap... literally...
The government is toothless to do anything.
Read this book and tell your friends.
Change the way you shop and help save this planet.

ISBN- 1-85860-023-5
This book represents over 20 years of work by a distinguished international
research group whose members have been communicating through psychic transceiver
Phyllis Schlemmer, with an enlightened circle of universal beings known as the
Council of Nine.
It's underlying theme is free will and the power of the inhabitants of Planet
earth to create a better, more harmonious world. Amongst the many themes covered
in detail are the existance of ET civilisations and their interactions with
Earth, the nature of the source of the universe, the ancient history of
humanity, Jesus the Nazarene, environmental issues and humankind's as yet-unrealised
potential for self-awareness. But above all, for those who are prepared to
listen and heed its message, it offers a positive outcome for the future.
I personally read this book from cover to cover
and didn't want to put it down for a second.

Why the official story of 911 is a monumental lie

by David Icke
Bridge of Love Publications USA
ISBN 0-9538810-2-4
£16
Since that horrendous day of September 11, 2001, the people of the world have
been told a big lie. The official story of what happened on 9/11 is a fantasy of
untruth, manipulation, contradiction and anomaly.
David Icke has spent well over a decade uncovering the force that was really
behind those attacks and has traveled to 40 countries in pursuit of the truth.
Many consider David Icke to be nuts without ever reading his books, and then
throw the baby out with the bath water because there may be a few things they
cannot register with, while the majority of what he writes is brilliant. Much
misunderstood because of his turquoise jumpsuit time on the Wogan Show on TV -
where he admits he made a mistake - many seem unable to move beyond this and
appreciate his bravery in bringing us material that many are scared to approach.
Yes - some of what he says seems fantasy and the writings of a madman... but
then ... who says all that you can see, hear, touch, smell and feel.... is all
there is ? Maybe he really is connecting with another dimension and maybe he is
right and we - sadly - are missing the point.
I first read his book 'The Biggest Secret' a number of years ago now and was
somewhat confused as well as gob smacked. His research was phenomenal, and the
longer I lived with his stuff - the longer I took note of things around me in
every day life - the more I had time to register, appreciate and evaluate what I
had read, and the more it - actually - all made sense.
Conspiracy Theory or not - we only have to look at what has happened since 911
to know that we have been blatantly lied to by our government and just about
everyone in powerful positions who, for some conspiratorial reason, have seen
fit to withhold the truth from us... so is this a conspiracy theory ? Maybe.
Alice in Wonderland is 'David the researcher' at his best, bringing you
documented media coverage of the attacks and how these help to piece together
the truths that have been withheld and the lies we have been fed.
If you ever had a thought that what we have been told was a monumental lie, then
this book is definitely for you. Well documented, well put together and easy to
read and follow.
Love him or hate him, David Icke is probably
one of the most famous writers of our day.

'They misunderestimated me.'
Or did they ?
Judge for yourself. This little book contains over 100 memorable misstatements
by America's syntactically challenged president, collected, annotated, and
introduced by 'State' magazine's Jacob Weisberg.
'I know the human being and fish
can coexist peacefully.'
'It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it.'
'The French don't have a word for entrepreneur.'
Can you just imagine. This is the man with his finger on the button that can
blow the entire planet up and he can't even string a sensible sentence together
unless it has been scripted for him. Not the brightest one in the family tree,
in fact, didn't we evolve from monkies in the trees... so ... maybe he is what
is called the 'runt' of the litter...
If this was anyone else, we would laugh, as we do anyway, but the serious
implications that this man poses for the planet are frightening, and when you
think that there is an election looming in the USA, it is daunting stuff. If he
gets in again, then there really is no hope for the planet - let alone the
English / American language.
An easy 'toilet seat' book designed to be read with tongue in cheek - so to
speak - and a laugh at the ready...
It's hilarious stuff.
TOMORROW'S
GOD
our greatest spiritual challenge
by
Neale Donald Walsch
A Mobius Book ISBN 0 340 830239

The best selling author of 'Conversations With God'
returns with an urgent challenge to the whole of humankind.
The way the human race acts now, will shape, or break, all our futures. Neal's
dialogue with God continues with a look forward to the New Spirituality that we
all need to embrace right now - and how exactly we can apply this new way of
thought to our lives.
New and challenging, Neal's message is that, far from being immune from
self-destruction as humankind persists in believing, our behavior threatens
life as we know it. We must embrace a totally new spirituality and change our
way of thinking from mass media to fashion, health and diet, to parenting and
social mores. This book addresses age old taboos, the mysteries of life and
ingrained ways of behaving, and provides us with the tools we need to redirect
ourselves onto a new and infinitely better path.
Powerful, inspiring and sometimes controversial, this book will help us to think
again about all that we believe in, and change our world for the better through
changing our beliefs.
I was completely blown away by the first book from Neale,- Conversations With
God Book 1, and I have always felt that he was - kinda - milking it a bit with
some of the others. This book is no exception.
I got bogged down for a while as it just repeated all the same stuff he has said
before and it seemed a bit of a con, but the second part of the book picked up
and enlightened further. I do like the way in which God speaks with Neale
although actually I do get fed up with the Neale and wish God would speak with
us directly, as S/He has done, through Neale, in some of his other works.
If you have never read any of his other works, then you will REALLY appreciate
this book, and if you have, then be prepared to re-read some of what you have
already heard before.
'Conversation With God'

by Neale Donald Walsch
Books 1-2 & 3
and all other related writings by the same author
If there is one book I suggest to more people to read than
any other book, it's book one of this trilogy.
Just imagine if you could have a personal
conversation with God all about your relationships, your
finances,
your job and all sorts of personal things that - quite
honestly - effect every one of us.
This is what Neale Donald Walsch did, and it's a life
changing read.
This book is simple in its manner but deep in its meaning,
and above all else, will turn your head around concerning what is God.
Personally, I fell back in love with God and compared to the Christian manner in
which we are brought up to 'fear God' - here, we learn that God loves us all
unconditionally and does not judge us... ever ... and will never send us to
hell... ever... and the beauty and love that shines forth from the printed word
will reduce you to tears in its beauty.

'Genesis of the Grail Kings'
by Sir Laurence Gardner's
and all his other related works.
I have always questioned a great deal of the Biblical stories and their
originality and here, Lawrence Gardener blows the lid off of many things we have
blindly believed, and with cultural, historical and scientific facts, he shows
us another side to the Christian stories and how they have been manipulated to
say what the church wanted them to say - more than they do the truth.

'The Biggest Secret'
'Robots Rebellion'
'Alice in Wonderland'
by David Icke
I know a lot of people think David Icke is nuts even though they have not read
his books, which makes me wonder - who is the nutty one ? Certainly, some of his
ideas seem a little far fetched and sci-fi - but the longer you live with his
concepts, and the longer they have to sink into your psyche, the more you
realize that - maybe - just maybe - he isn't so nuts after all. It all -
actually - makes a great deal of sense. I like his writing manner and his humour
and question anyone to prove him wrong.

'Al Qaeda'
The true story of radical Islam
by Jason Burke
I thought it about time I understood more of what the west was fighting against
in its war on terrorism, as it seems few actually know what Al Qaeda is, or what
it stands for. Living in ignorance while so many are tortured, blown to pieces
or even held in American prisons in Cuba etc, FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES with
NO judge and jury ever sending them there and with no evidence to convict them
of anything, SOMETHING has to have frightened the USA to its very foundation for
them to pick on a tribal and very poorly funded, educate, and equipped people in
order to throw its mighty weight into a war it seems it cannot possibly win.
American politicians in the Bush camp may be becoming financially rich beyond
our wildest dreams in their quest to spend American $ on ammunition to destroy
those that it fears, yet how many actually know the truth behind what the Al
Qaeda stands for. This book is a MUST READ for anyone who wants to understand
and appreciate both sides of the fight and why a poor nation is willing to go to
war against one of the richest and best militarily equipped in the world.

'The Taliban'
by Ahmed Rashid
I thought that as we enter a period in our history where the Taliban and the
Arab nations are playing a much bigger role on the world stage, that I ought to
know a little about their culture and political background. This book was an eye
opener and made me realize how arrogant we in the west are when it comes to
how we view the Arab nations. It makes me ashamed to be English.

'What Is Islam'
by Chris Horrie & Peter Chippendale
A vital book for anyone to read as Islam grows and shows us in the west that
what we thought we knew, and what we thought of as a violent and repressive
religion, most certainly is not. Christianity is not the fastest growing
religion,
but is speedily declining in followers while Islam is growing at a huge speed.
Isn't it time you found out a little about this belief structure and stop
believing
all the evil and vile acts that are blamed on Islam. After all, Christianity in
history has proven to be a LOT more bloodthirsty than Islam and in many cases
Islam has proven itself to be more tolerant, more forgiving and more
sympathetic
to other belief structures than ever the Church of Rome has been.

'Power of Kabbalah'
by Rabbi Yehuda Berg
Given to me by a friend, I found this book fascinating, in that it explains so
much about the other religions without meaning to. Considering all the 4 main
religions take the same source material for their religious writings, it is not
surprising that they all have things in common. Here, the Kabala is explained
in easy to follow terms for those, like me, who always thought it was just a
Jewish thing. How wrong could I be.

'The Celestine Prophecy'

Like 'Conversations With God' this book became a run away best seller when it
came out and is now celebrating it's 10th anniversary in print (2004) An easy to

hugely recommend this book. Apparently it is currently being made into a movie,
which should make for quite a good film.

Numerous books by
Zecharia Sitchin
The '12th Planet' is his most famous but all are excellent. the new releases are
easier to read as all the reference material seems to have been placed at the

you want explanations of where humankind has come from, why so many of our
global myths are so similar and where the original Bible documents were
plagiarized from, read his material.

'Bringers of the Dawn'
by Barbara Marciniak
One Christmas, someone gave me this book, and on Boxing Day, 3 of us sat around
the log fire, with the rain beating against the window, and between cold turkey,
mince pies and cups of tea, we read a chapter each, aloud, and then discussed
what we had just read, and it was the most wonderful day.
I had never heard the expression 'Light Worker' before, and although I hear
mixed things about Barbara Marciniak these days, her book was another eye opener

'The Gnostic Novels'
by Elaine Paganels
BRILLIANT if a little studious to read. If you have ever wondered about what was
edited out of the Bible, then you must read this book. The Bible, it seems, is
FAR from gospel and is massively edited and manipulated to say what the Roman
Church wanted and needed it to say, to gain control over the growing masses some
1,800 years ago. Here, many of the edited documents which were found in 1947,
are explained, and how the hidden documents and gospels cast a slightly ( in
fact - HUGELY ) different light on what has remained in the Bible and how you
will view them from now on.

Much of what is generally thought of as fact - is pure bullshit, and the way the
governments and media portray marijuana and the dangers involved are just SO
over the top, and when you consider how many die from drink and cigarettes
every year and how NO-ONE dies from smoking pot, and there are HUGE benefits to
health from ingesting / smoking this enigmatic plant, it's about time TRUTHFUL
EDUCATION was given to our children and to the masses so we can make an educated
decision for ourselves and not be told by the Nanny State and the church, who
also have vested interests in keeping all drugs illegal, what we should or
should not be doing. If they can feed cows with human excrement and then we eat
the beef and drink the milk, isn't this hypocrisy just a little obvious. It's
about money - nothing else - money - oh and control of the human psyche.

as preached by Jesus;- and before you say it - Jesus was not a Christian, Jesus
taught true Judaism. It has also been mooted around that the Cathars, like the
Knights Templar's, actually spat on Jesus as they did not believe he was the
Savior, but that he stole the congregation and insights from John the Baptist.

The books by Tuesday Lobsang Rampa were introduced to me by an elderly lady
in Guernsey when I was 17, and Elsa Cooper never really knew quite how she
changed my direction the day she handed me' The Third Eye.' I devoured it
instantly and swallowed up all the other books in the series. Elsa died aged 85
a few years later and I wish with all my heart I could know her now. I would
dearly love to thank her - and to share with her. She was an enlightened woman,
while I was still - at 17 - finding my path, and the turning point came the day
she handed me this book. She was the first of many guides who have come and gone
throughout my life so far, and I hold her memory dear in my heart.
God bless you Elsa.
These are just some of the books I have read in the
last 10 years -
except for Tuesday Lobsang Rampa's books which I devoured when I was 17. I
believe that my Angels, or Higher Being, or God, will guide me any way I so
desire and will assist in every way possible, but I have to ask... I have to
know what to ask... and only through study and workshops and reading and
searching... do we know what questions to ask.
