FOOD POISONING

Two out of every three shop bought chickens are contaminated  with a potentially lethal bug called campylobacter which has been linked with 440,00 food poison cases and 80 deaths in 2008, the Food Standards Agency has found.  It has asked supermarkets to do more to eradicate this and the boss of the FSA - Tim Smith, has written to  bosses at Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco, The Co-op, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and Morrisons  asking them to encourage suppliers to make improvements.

Campylobacter is the UK's most common cause of food poisoning and the FSA had hoped to reduce rates in shop bought chickens to 35% by 2010.

What is disgusting and gob-smacking is how the FSA wrote ENCOURAGING the sellers of the products to make it safer rather than threatening them with legal action for selling a poisonous product. If we made a doll that had pins and unsafe products in its manufacture, or a pram was found to be dangerous to children,  or even a Stenna Lift  was found to be dangerous, it would be pulled from the market, the makers prosecuted and the design changed to make it safe,- yet poison can be left in the food chain and all the government body responsible for the safe well being of its peoples food does is write and  ENCOURAGES companies to do better. 

This just goes to show the power of the food companies and how the government is toothless when faced with demanding changes from big business.  If Hamilton Hall gave a customer food poisoning because we had not cooked the chicken adequately - we would be hauled before a court and my business  temporarily closed down while investigations made into how clean my kitchens are, how often I complete the necessary paperwork, how I store food products and so forth - and yet NOTHING would be done to investigate why the supermarket and producer of the product SOLD ME A POISONOUS CHICKEN IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Our food producers cannot be trusted to provide us with safe foods and the poor cook in the hotel and restaurant or even at home,  is held  responsible when things go wrong rather than the government looking at its own legislation and big business' method of production.

I took a couple of friends years ago to a Buddhist meditation Class in Covent Garden and one friend said he would laugh all the way through as he thought it would just be silly,  20 or so gay men sitting around in silly positions on the floor all with their eyes shut - drifting - ( as he put it ) But when we got there and he saw how lovely the place was, how committed the tutors were and how everyone was taking it seriously, he thought he should behave and so 'pretended' to get into it so he wouldn't embarrass himself, and while pretending - he actually found a place within himself that changed his viewpoint completely and he was THRILLED by the end of the session and REALLY looked forward to the next weeks session,   and he still meditates to this day.  To de-stress, re-charge - let go of anger and to feel so much better in so many ways, emotionally and physically,  meditation is free to do anywhere and easy and if you wish to leatrn more, come and do a class here at Hamilton Hall.

LONDON (Reuters) - Frequent masturbation, particularly in the 20s, helps prevent prostate cancer (news - web sites) later in life, according to new research.Australian scientists have shown that the more men masturbate between the ages of 20 and 50, the less likely they are to develop the disease that kills more than half a million men each year.They suspect that frequent ejaculation has a protective effect against the cancer because it prevents dangerous carcinogens from building up in the gland.

"The more you flush the ducts out, the less there is to hang around and damage the cells that line them," Graham Giles, of the Cancer Council Victoria in Melbourne, told New Scientist magazine on Wednesday.

-In a survey of 1,079 prostate cancer patients and 1,259 healthy men, Giles and his team discovered that men who ejaculated more than five times a week in their 20s were a third less likely to develop an aggressive form of the disease.

The findings contradict previous studies which suggested that having a variety of partners or frequent sexual activity could increase the risk of prostate cancer by 40 percent.

But Giles said the earlier research concentrated on intercourse, whereas his study focused on masturbation. Infections caused by sexual activity could account for the different findings.    "Men have many ways of using their prostate which don't involve women or other men," he added.

Cut the top  and bottom off an onion and place in your bedroom at night - or next to your work station at work.  In the morning it will often be black and this is said to protect you from all sports of illnesses - especially the flu. There are many testimonials from people who claim this to be accurate and - what have you got to loose.

SWINE FLU

I am not saying Swine Flu does not exist. I am not saying that people have not died from Swine Flu.  What I WILL say is that governments and health authorities have not told us the truth and much of what we are told is inaccurate.  When a small child was diagnosed recently over the phone and told she had to be admitted to  a hospital ward filled with patients with Swine Flu and her own Mother knew it was Tonsillitis and that she would have been put at risk being admitted  and so refused to allow her to go into hospital, and in the long run, saved her own daughters life - ( BBC NEWS 22/07/09) and when the NHS has UNTRAINED staff making diagnosis OVER THE PHONE - we REALLY need to be frightened of the medical authorities and the media for whipping up a storm over something that has not happened.  Normal flu kills far more people every year than this has done so far and claiming 'IT COULD - IT MIGHT' mutate into something worse is just frightening the public - when the truth is - yes it might - but as yet - it hasn't - and if it does mutate - then Tami flu the drug being pushed by pharmaceutical companies ( in order to make billions of £ and $ )  'COULD - MIGHT' not work ... So what's the point ?   It does seem odd the amount of mass hysteria in the media and by the WHO ( World Health Organization ) over something that really has not killed that many people when more die each year from normal flu...Or maybe - just maybe - they know something that we do not know.  So read all you can - check out the internet and do not blindly just take medication for something that at the end of the day seems not to be that serious in normal healthy people.

Bottled water in your car is
very dangerous!

  On the Ellen show, Sheryl Crow said this is what caused her breast cancer.  It has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue.
Sheryl Crow's oncologist told her:

women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water.  Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue.  So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.  Pass this on to all t he women in your life.  

 This information is the kind we need to know that just might save us!  Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle instead of plastic!

No water bottles in freezer.
No plastic wrap in microwave.
A dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer.

 Recently, Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard:

He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us..

  He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers.... This especially applies to foods that contain fat.
 
He said that the combination of fat, high heat,  and plastic releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body...Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramiccontainers for heating food... You get the same results, only without the dioxin
.So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc.., should be removed from the container and heated in something else.

Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning ware etc.

He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons...Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran wrap, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high  heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.  Cover food with a paper towel instead.

 

So the next time you go to the gym and take bottled water with you in the car - or like me, I leave a bottle of water in the car at all times and always take a could of fresh chilled ones out with me for the dog and myself on our long afternoon walks, and now to find out they are dangerous - kinda complicates things as - er - what exactly can I take water in the car in... glass bottles are heavy and can break - a flask ??? I don't think so...  We have become so spoiled with plastic being so light and convenient. It does seem that everything in this modern world turns out to be carcinogenic one way or another - or at least - much of our food seems dangerous because of hard fats, chemicals, growth hormones, antibiotics and crap food being fed to the animals.

Rightly or wrongly, I strongly believe in the rights of the individual to choose, when the time is right, for them to die- BUT ONLY if all avenues of pain management, medication and all therapies have been tried and exhausted. My Mother - for instance - is dying. She is 87 - bed bound in hospital, her brain is 90% scrambled egg and she has little memory left. Her dementia is quite sad to witness and she has no hope of a miracle cure or of getting any better and the stress this brings her and her loved ones is powerful and wrong. If she was a dog or a cat we would have taken her to the vet a long time ago. Man is cruel inflicting life on those whose quality of life is so bad, it is unworthy of continuation. Man is cruel inflicting their own fears of death onto others and all because it is their own fear. Whatever your beliefs of an afterlife - or not - LIFE is not to be inflicted regardless on people, it is a choice and yet that choice has been taken from us by an uncaring state living in fear of what they cannot explain, control or understand. I am aware that vulnerable people could be put at risk, but then, vulnerable people are often put at risk by the very institutions geared up to offer help and protection... social workers, police and the courts.   Do-gooders of the 19th century in Australia and  America took indigenous children from their parents in order to breed the gene out of them and make their children 'nice little white children '  and this evil is now seen as precisely that - evil, but at the time was considered a good thing to do - a right thing to do - and much harm and destruction was created. Taking away peoples freedom of choice is - I thought - illegal - yet when it comes to the subject of self assisted suicide, all sorts of people crawl out of the woodwork with an attitude about it - of which - most are from fear and ignorance, which really does not help the discussion at all.  If I am terminally ill and my quality of life is so low as to be worthless, then switch the machine off, stop the medication,  stop the feeds and let me die in peace and be one with my God of choice and NO-ONE has the right to make me do otherwise. NO ONE.

In October of 2001, she had stomach spasms and she was having a hard time getting around.  Walking was a major chore.  It took everything she had just to get out of bed; she was in so much pain.

By March 2002, she had undergone several tissue and muscle biopsies and was on 24 various prescription medications.
                
The doctors could not determine what was wrong with her.  She was in so much pain, and so sick she just knew she was dying.  She put her house, bank accounts, life insurance etc., in her oldest daughter's name, and made sure that her younger children were  be taken care of.  She also wanted her last hooray, so she planned a trip to  Florida (basically in a wheelchair) for March 22nd. On March 19, I called her to ask how her most recent tests went, and she said they didn't find anything on the test, but they believe she had MS.  I recalled an article a friend of mine e-mailed to me and I asked my sister if she drank diet soda?  She told me that she did.  As a matter of fact, she was getting ready to crack one open that moment.  I told her not to open it, and to stop drinking the diet soda!
             
I e-mailed her the article my friend, a lawyer, had sent.  My sister called me within 32 hours after our phone conversation and told me she had stopped drinking the diet soda AND she could walk! The muscle spasms went away.  She said she didn't feel 100% but, she sure felt a lot better.  She told me she was going to her doctor with this article and would call me when she got home..

Well, she called me, and said her doctor was amazed!  He is going to call all of his MS patients to find out if they consumed artificial sweeteners of any kind.  In a nutshell, she was being poisoned by the Aspartame in the diet soda...and literally dying a slow and miserable death.  When she got to  Florida March 22, all she had to take was one pill, and that was a pill for the Aspartame poisoning!She is well on her way to a complete recovery.  And she is walking!  No wheelchair!

I have spent several days lecturing at the WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE on 'ASPARTAME,' marketed as  'Nutra Sweet,' 'Equal,' and  Spoonful.'

Many people were being diagnosed in error.   Although multiple sclerosis is not a death sentence, Methanol toxicity is!
              
Systemic lupus has become almost as rampant as multiple sclerosis, especially with Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi drinkers.
The victim usually does not know that the Aspartame is the culprit. He or she continues its use; irritating the lupus to such a degree that it may become a life-threatening condition.  We have seen patients with systemic lupus become asymptotic, once taken off diet sodas.

In cases of those diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, most of the symptoms disappear.  We've seen many cases where vision loss returned and hearing loss improved markedly.
This also applies to cases of tinnitus and fibromyalgia.  During a lecture, I said,
'If you are using ASPARTAME  (Nutra Sweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc) and you suffer from fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting, pains, numbness in your legs, Cramps, Vertigo, Dizziness, Headaches, Tinnitus, Joint pain, Unexplainable depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, or memory loss you probably have ASPARTAME poisoning!'  People were jumping up during the lecture saying, 'I have some of these symptoms.. Is it reversible?'  Yes
! Yes! Yes!            
STOP drinking diet sodas and be alert for Aspartame on food labels!  Many products are fortified with it!   This is a serious problem.  Dr. Espart (one of my speakers) remarked that so many people seem to be symptomatic for MS and during his recent visit to a hospice; a nurse stated that six of her friends, who were heavy Diet Coke addicts, had all been diagnosed with MS. This is beyond coincidence!  
Diet soda is NOT a diet product! It is a chemically altered, multiple SODIUM (salt) and ASPARTAME containing product that actually makes you crave carbohydrates.  It is far more likely to make you GAIN weight!  These products also contain formaldehyde, which stores in the fat cells,  particularly in the hips and thighs.  Formaldehyde is an absolute toxin and is used primarily to preserve 'tissue specimens.'
Many products we use every day contain this chemical but we SHOULD NOT store it IN our body!


Dr. H. J. Roberts stated in his lectures that once free of the 'diet products' and with no significant increase in exercise; his patients lost an average of 19 pounds over a trial period.

Aspartame is especially dangerous for diabetics. We found that some physicians, who believed that they had a patient with retinopathy, in fact, had symptom caused by Aspartame.   The Aspartame drives the blood sugar out of control.  Thus diabetics may suffer acute memory loss due to the fact that aspartic acid and phenylalanine are NEUROTOXIC when taken with out the other amino acids necessary for a good balance.
              
Treating diabetes is all about BALANCE.  Especially with diabetics, the Aspartame passes the blood/brain barrier and it then deteriorates the neurons of the brain; causing various levels of brain damage, Seizures, Depression, Manic depression,  Panic attacks, Uncontrollable anger and rage.  Consumption of Aspartame causesthese same symptoms in non-diabetics as well.  Documentation and observation also reveal that thousands of children diagnosed with ADD and ADHD have had complete turnarounds in their behaviorwhen these chemicals have been removed from their diet.  So called 'behavior modification prescription drugs' (Ritalin and  others) are no longer needed. Truth be told, they were never NEEDED in the first place!
                
Most of these children were being 'poisoned' on a daily basis with the very foods that were 'better for them than sugar.'    It is also suspected that the Aspartame in thousands of pallets of diet Coke and diet Pepsi consumed by men and women fighting in the Gulf War, may be partially to blame for the well-known Gulf War Syndrome.
              
Dr. Roberts warns that it can cause birth defects, i.e. mental retardation, if taken at the time of conception and during early pregnancy.  Children are especially at risk for neurological disorders and should NEVER be given artificial sweeteners.
 
There are many different case histories to relate of children suffering grand mal seizures and other neurological disturbances talking about a plague of neurological diseases directly caused by the use of this deadly poison.'

 Herein lies the problem: There were Congressional Hearings when Aspartame was included in 100 different products and strong objection was made concerning its use. Since this initialhearing, there have been two subsequent hearings, and still nothing has been done. The drug and chemicallobbies have very deeppockets.  Sadly, MONSANTO'S patent on Aspartame has EXPIRED! There are now over 5,000 products on the market that contain this deadly chemical and there will be thousands more introduced.  Everybody wants a 'piece of the Aspartame pie.'
             
I assure you that MONSANTO, the creator of Aspartame, knows how deadly it is. And isn't it ironic that MONSANTO funds, among others, the American Diabetes  Association, the American Dietetic Association and the Conference of the American College of Physicians? This has been recently exposed in the New York Times.  These [organizations] cannot criticize any additives or convey their link to MONSANTO because they take money from the food industry and are required to endorse their products.

Senator Howard Metzenbaum wrote and presented a bill that would require label warnings on products containing Aspartame, especially regarding pregnant women, children and infants.

The bill would also institute independent studies on the known dangers and the problems existing in the general population regarding seizures, changes in brain chemistry, neurological changes and behavioral symptoms.
The bill was killed.
It is known that the powerful drug and chemical lobbies are responsible for this, letting loose the hounds of disease and death on an unsuspecting and uninformed public. Well, you're informed now!

HOW TO FIND SOME INNER PEACE AMID OUTER CHAOS AND STRESS

For me - it is often this computer that stresses me out, for  while I appreciate it is my responsibility because I am not computer literate enough to do what I would like to do,  if and when it does go wrong, it can really stress me out and cause such anxiety.

We all suffer at times from stress / anxiety / depression / fear - and these negative emotions are draining on our physical health as well as our emotional well being, and guys - if you don't do something about it - then your body will go into dis-ease and you will become ill.  We share many ways to help with this here at Hamilton Hall and below, are a few important ideas you can try and work with and just see how much better you will feel. Now - it's no use just giving anything in life 'lip service'- you have GOT TO WANT IT TO WORK and STOP BLAMING OTHERS for whatever is not working for you. Take responsibility, do as it  states below, sort the problem out and make some changes in your daily routine / life before you loose your job, friends and lover because you are a nervous wreck.

  It's up to you.

  1. Recognizing that you are stresses is half the battle won - for when you KNOW - then you can choose to do something about it -

  2. BREATH.  Take deep slow breaths filling the lungs and allow the out breath to naturally fall away - and just take 5 minutes to be with your breath - making sure you take some really deep breaths.  Sit down for this, preferably where there is an open window for fresh air.   You cannot even begin to imagine how powerful using your breath is in dealing with all sorts of anxiety, panic and stress related symptoms AS THEY APPEAR  in the here and now and the breath will help your body from going  into dis-ease and will integrate the anxiety, panic stress etc. and so keep your emotional and physical body healthy.   3. Look at something green. After long hours of starring at your computer screen, looking at green plants have been scientifically proven to be relaxing for the eyes.

  4. If you experience those days where you just feel  tired and unfocused,  Take a quick walk. I usually walk to the beach or even up to the shops where I treat myself to breakfast out in a cafe.  Having a dog is good as it gets me out of the house / office and into a green space ( park - local cemetery etc )  a couple of times a day.

  5. Set some time apart - just for you - and not for any kind of activity or work (out) but to just sit and listen to a favourite piece of music. Make yourself close your eyes and just be with the music,  taking between 5 and 30 minutes - listening intensely to every note, syllable and nuance - focus the mind on the music - taking some deep breaths throughout.

  6. Drink water. We need to replace the water lost from sweating, tears and the body’s heating and cooling system on a continuous basis. Dehydration is associated with decreased energy, increased hunger, tiredness, and aging wrinkled skin. In addition to actually drinking water, you can eat more water-based foods, like fresh fruits and vegetables for hydration.

  7. MEDITATE- Sit down - and upright - somewhere peaceful at home, switch the phone off and put the cat out.  Sit and relax. Take a few deep breaths.  Close your eyes. Continue to take some slow, deep and meaningful breaths, counting the in  breath in groups of 10.  Try and bring your awareness to your in and your out breath.  If your mind wonders - as soon as you realise - just allow the thought to go - clear your mind - realise that thinking about it at this moment will achieve nothing - and just sit with your breath.  Try and do this for at least 5 minutes.  That's all.   Just 5 minutes.  Try this a couple of times a day and build up the minutes each time until - maybe with practice - you can sit in silence for up to 45 minutes.  If you fall asleep it is only because you are not use to closing your eyes unless it is bed time,  your brain will adapt.

"The study, published today in the journal NeuroReport, measured how long college students could keep their hands immersed in cold water. I have done everything sexually imaginable and more... yet never plugged anyone into the mains ( I know... how shocking... ha ha )  and I have done a lot of drugs and fisted the night away for between 5 and 36 hours at sex parties with a dozen other guys and I have enjoyed the naked fuck bars and been up on stage putting on a show - and there really isn't   much I haven't done, and throughout all of this,  I remained negative... never even so much as caught crabs - and  as  inviting as it is to fuck bareback and where I could actually feel something without the condom on, - and many clients requested Barebacking...  I had my boundaries - my guideposts of what was - and what was not - acceptable - and I did not cross that line.

I have friends who have DELIBERATELY BUG CHASED - and now they are on the medication and complaining constantly about side effects and various illnesses etc.  and I am simply not interested and do not allow them to complain.   It's like driving a car at speed through a speed camera and then complaining when you get a ticket.    YOU KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES - now grow up and live the consequences of your actions. .

Aspirin is the chemical name for acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). This well-known drug for over a century had been a popular treatment for arthritis pain, headaches and fever. "Take two aspirin and call me in the morning" was for a long time considered a standard medical recommendation for a variety of ills.

Many people consider aspirin as the best-known drug in history.

Today, many doctors recommend that the drug be taken on a daily basis for the prevention of heart attacks, still the commonest killer in Jamaica.

ASPIRIN FOR HEART ATTACKS

The use of aspirin to prevent heart attacks is based on its ability to inhibit the formation of blood clots or thrombosis in the body. The common saying, "aspirin thins the blood", is not strictly true: aspirin prevents clot formation by preventing blood elements called platelets from sticking together, a process that initiate clot formation.

The widespread use of aspirin for the prevention of heart attacks is based on the results of several well publicised medical studies. However, a number of experts have questioned the conclusions drawn from those studies. In fact, recent guidelines from the US Preventive Services Task Force recommend caution in the widespread use of aspirin as a prophylaxis against cardiovascular disease.

ASPIRIN FACTS

Although prophylactic aspirin may reduce the chance of a high-risk individual getting a heart attack for the first time, there is no evidence that it will reduce the risk of a heart attack in low risk individuals or those without circulatory problems. In fact, the risks outweigh the benefits in the latter group.

After a first heart attack, studies show that aspirin is useful for a period of time in preventing a second attack. The first aspirin tablet should be taken as soon as possible after a heart attack. Then, in consultation with your doctor, switch to low-dosage enteric-coated aspirin tablets (baby aspirin).

BUT most of these studies used buffered aspirin to reduce the side effects of aspirin. Buffered aspirin contains a significant amount of magnesium, a natural substance that contains its own powerful protective properties.

BUT aspirin has serious side effects: gastritis, peptic ulcer, intestinal bleeding, haemorrhage shock and sudden death. Aspirin can also affect your eyes, increasing the risk of macular degeneration, a leading cause of blindness.

SAFER ALTERNATIVES

It is now well recognised that the tendency to form blood clots is often a result of inflammation. Perhaps aspirin's benefits in cardiovascular disorders may not just relate to its direct effect on blood clotting but also from its well-known anti-inflammatory action. If that is so, then there may be many better ways to protect oneself for heart attacks and strokes.

The most important protection against heart attacks is a healthy lifestyle: Excellent cellular nutrition, weight control, exercise, avoidance of cigarette smoke, stress management and adequate rest.

There are also a number of useful supplements that offer similar benefits without the risks associated with aspirin:

OMEGA 3 FATTY ACIDS

These are potent anti-inflammatory agents that also contribute to cardiovascular health in many ways. In dosages of three or more grams daily, they also improve blood flow and discourage blood clot formation.

ANTI-OXIDANTS

Vitamin E at dosages as low as 100 to 250 IU daily have demonstrated impressive results in preventing a first heart attack, with minimal side effects. Vitamin E at a higher dosage of 400 IU or more daily is also effective in protecting heart-attack sufferers from a repeat attack.

MAGNESIUM

Most heart attack victims at post mortem examination are found to be magnesium deficient. Although adequate studies on magnesium supplements for the primary prevention of heart attacks are not available, the experience of a number of clinicians and studies on the magnesium content of drinking water and heart disease make a good case for taking magnesium supplements. I recommend magnesium aspartate capsules, 200 to 400 mg daily.

HERBS

Among their many benefits, both garlic and ginkgo biloba have demonstrated blood thinning properties and can be used in conjunction with the lifestyle and supplements recommended above.

Although this may seem a complex issue, I hope readers recognise that they are safe alternatives to aspirin that they can choose to protect and maintain a healthy heart. I strongly recommend that you discuss the pro and cons of taking aspirin with your doctor.

 

About Heart Attacks

There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides the pain in the left arm.

One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.

Note: There may be no pain in the chest during a heart attack.

The majority of people (about 60%) who had an heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up.  However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.

If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth

and swallow them with a bit of water.

Afterwards :

 - if alone, phone 911

 - say "heart attack!"

 - say that you have taken 2 aspirins.

 - take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and...

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9 When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

 10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
a). Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

 

b). Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c) Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

 

d) A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts)  and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e) Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrefied and leads to more toxic build-up.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

Dioxin chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.  Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on

 

TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us.. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else.

Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Guidelines to help you avoid cancer
  1. Avoid rigid diets or rigid lifestyles. Variations in a person's daily habits is desirable, when feasible, to avoid the unconscious continued application of unsuspected carcinogens.
  2. Limit consumption of highly seasoned food, black pepper, curries etc.
  3. Limit consumption of herbs and herbal remedies. Some herbs have been found to be carcinogenic. Most herbs have not been tested for carcinogenicity.
  4. Avoid a high animal fat diet and limit red meat consumption. Eat fish, chicken, turkey.
  5. Limit consumption of charcoal-broiled or smoked meat or fish.
  6. Limit consumption of nitrite/nitrate treated food: ham, bacon, sausages. For bottled water check the label for nitrate content; the lower the better. If possible use glass bottled water.
  7. Avoid iron tablets and food with added iron; low blood iron helps protect you from cancer as well as from bacterial infections.
  8. Avoid excessive exposure to the sun; some of the ingredients in sun-screen lotions are suspect carinogens.
  9. Avoid exposure to bleach/chlorine fumes.
  10. Limit frequent use of hair dyes; they have been associated with bladder cancer.
  11. Do not smoke and if possible avoid exposure to passive smoke.
  12. If you have a choice between eating a vegetable, fruit or other food raw or cooked, eat it raw; e.g. carrots, cabbage etc. If possible do not heat and reheat food.
  13. Eat bran, oat-based cereals, reduced-fat cottage cheese broccoli, cauliflower, red cabbage, watercress, walnuts, apples.
  14. Eat vegetables and fruit rich in beta-carotene and other carotenoids such as carrots, apricots, tomatoes, Cantaloupe-type melons, mangoes, paw-paw, pink grapefruit, spinach
  15. Eat fresh fruit, vegetables and nuts rich in folic acid: blackberries, raspberries, clementines, oranges, asparagus, sunflower seeds. Folic acid has been shown ro protect against the risk of cervical cancer. It may also protect against prostate cancer.
  16. Eat one or two Brazil-nuts periodically for their high selenium content.
  17. Drink green tea. Epidemiological and laboratory studies have shown green tea to have cancer-preventive properties.
  18. Use stainless steel or glass cooking utensils.
  19. Women to completely avoid the use of talcum powder around the lower abdomen or near their private parts; it has been associated with ovarian cancer.
  20. If you are pregnant do not keep any pets, especially cats; they have been associated with childhood leukaemia.
  21. If you are pregnant do not expose yourself to petrol fumes, such as when filling up the petrol tank.
  22. Maintain a healthy body weight. Numerous studies have shown that obesity appears to increase the risk for some cancers.
  23. Avoid taking megadoses of vitamins or minerals.
  24. Avoid consuming very hot drinks or very hot food; this has been associated with cancer of the oesophagus, as has high alcohol consumption.
  25. Hormones have been associated with breast cancer, hepatitis B or C viruses or alcohol with liver cancer, high salt intake with stomach cancer, asbestos or tobacco smoke with lung cancer, excess animal fat and low calcium with colon cancer.

stinction [of inventing supersizing] belongs to a man named David Wallerstein. Until his death in 1993, Wallerstein served on the board of directors at McDonald's, but in the fifties and sixties he worked for a chain of movie theaters in Texas, where he labored to expand sales of soda and popcorn--the high-markup items that theaters depend on for their profitability. As the story is told in John Love's official history of McDonald's, Wallerstein tried everything he could think of to goose up sales--two-for-one deals, matinee specials--but found he simply could not induce customers to buy more than one soda and one bag of popcorn. He thought he knew why: Going for seconds makes people feel piggish.

"Wallerstein discovered that people would spring for more popcorn and soda--a lot more--as long as it came in a single gigantic serving. Thus was born
the two-quart bucket of popcorn, the sixty-four-ounce Big Gulp, and, in time, the Big Mac and the jumbo fries, though Ray Kroc himself took some convincing. In 1968, Wallerstein went to work for McDonald's, but try as he might, he couldn't convince Kroc, the company's founder, of supersizing's magic powers.

" 'If people want more fries,' Kroc told him, 'they can buy two bags.' Wallerstein patiently explained that McDonald's customers did want more but were reluctant to buy a second bag. 'They don't want to look like gluttons.'

"Kroc remained skeptical, so Wallerstein went looking for proof. He began staking out McDonald's outlets in and around Chicago, observing how people ate. He saw customers noisily draining their sodas, and digging infinitesimal bits of salt and burnt spud out of their little bags of French fries. After Wallerstein presented his findings, Kroc relented and approved supersized portions, and the dramatic spike in sales confirmed the marketer's hunch. Deep cultural taboos against gluttony--one of the seven deadly sins, after all--had been holding us back. Wallerstein's dubious achievement was to devise the dietary equivalent of a papal dispensation: Supersize it! He had discovered the secret to expanding the (supposedly) fixed human stomach.

"One might think that people would stop eating and drinking these gargantuan portions as soon as they felt full, but it turns out hunger doesn't work that way. Researchers have found that people (and animals) presented with large portions will eat up to 30 percent more than they would otherwise. Human appetite, it turns out, is surprisingly elastic, which makes excellent evolutionary sense: It behooved our hunter-gatherer ancestors to feast whenever the opportunity presented itself, allowing them to build up reserves of fat against future famine. Obesity researchers call this trait the 'thrifty gene.' And while the gene represents a useful adaptation in an environment of food scarcity and unpredictability, it's a disaster in an environment of fast-food abundance, when the opportunity to feast presents itself 24/7. Our bodies are storing reserves of fat against a famine that never comes."

Recognizing a Stroke
          A neurologist says that if s/he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours s/he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally.  The trick is getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed and getting to the patient within 3 hours. This is tough.

         Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.

he stroke victim may suffer brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
         Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple
         questions:
      1. *Ask the individual to SMILE.
 
       2. *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

       3. *Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. . . It is sunny out today) If he or she has trouble with any of these tasks, call 999 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

       After discovering that non-medical volunteers could identify facial weakness, arm weakness and speech problems, researchers urged the general public to learn the three questions. They presented their conclusions at the American Stroke Association's annual meeting last February. Widespread use of this test could result in prompt diagnosis and treatment of the stroke and prevent brain damage.

EXERCISE FOR OVER 50'S
 

I came across this exercise suggested for the over 30's to build muscle strength in the arms and shoulders. The article suggested doing it three days a week.

1. Begin by standing on a comfortable, flat surface, where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 2kg potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Tryto hold for a full minute, then relax.

 2. Each day, you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 5kg potato bag. Then a 25kg potato bag and eventually try toget to where you can lift a 50kg potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute (I'm at this level).

3. When you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the bags.

 

 

Do you dribble in your underpants ?

I teach the guys that attend our Man-2-Man Sexuality workshop weekends that once a man passes 40 years of age,  he can't trust a fart.

If you are now laughing, it's because you know exactly what I mean.

It's the same when they ask why they dribble  when they stop peeing and why it always seems to have one last dribble once they have put their dick away - just to make a damp patch in their underpants - or why they don't shoot as far when they have sex now they have passed middle age.

The answer is easy and needs just a little time and exercise that can be done sitting on the bus or at the computer...

Both men and women have a PC - (Pubococcygeus ) muscle that is responsible for the well being and healthy function of the pelvic floor,  ( and not the one under your chair...it's in your stomach ) and like most things, it is multi functional.  To maximize your sexuality,  this muscle needs regular exercise.

When you find yourself peeing alone,  keep stopping and starting, squirting your urine out as hard as you can.  Stop - start - stop - start,  using your muscles to the best of their abilities. Be firm and completely stop the flow just for a few seconds before squirting again and then squeeze and stop...  all the way through your pee - at least 2 or 3 times a day.

When you get a hard on,  squeeze the muscles in your dick from within and see how your dick bounces up - if you can't do this or you cannot stop and start once a pee is in mid flow, then you REALLY need to get doing these exercises as soon as possible.

Keeping this muscle exercised will prolong your sexuality by keeping a better hard on - for we know that as we get older, a long and sustained erection is harder to maintain and an orgasm often is not as good as it use to be.  Keep this muscle in tip top condition, and this will not be a problem. Viagra is fine but not good for you if taking Poppers and not good to keep turning to chemicals when a simple exercise is of benefit.

One good exercise for passive gay men is to tighten the ass around a cock as it fucks you.  Tighten and loosen throughout the sex play and the fucker will love you for it -  as who can feel bugger all through a condom  ?  and if you are a little older and your ass has been fucked a few times over the decades,  you will be somewhat looser than a nubile 18 year old and your ass will need to be exercised to keep it tight so the fucker can actually feel anything.  ( There's nothing worse than fucking a sloppy old mans hole that is gaping wide open.  Now - picture that in your minds eye... Nice huh ??? ha ha ha  It may not be you today... but the years do pass oh so quickly...  )

Exercise

Quickly clench and release your PC muscle ( imagine you are trying to stop a fart in an elevator full of people...)  for a 5 second period - take a 5 second break and repeat 10 times.  Then repeat  allowing 10 seconds each time and do this 10 times in a row.  Then at the end repeat doing the same as above but keep the PC clenched for 30 seconds and repeat for at least 3  times.

You can play at all sorts of different times, 5 - 10 - 20 and 30 seconds a time and in as many groups of 5 - 10 - 20 times repeated as you feel comfortable with doing.  Never strain and always build it up slowly at first.  Like any exercise,  take care not to give yourself a cramp or be sore afterwards.

This needs to be done as many times a day as you think of it... 3 - 4 - 10...

GREEN TEA

protects against heart disease

A few cups of green tea each day may help prevent heart disease, Greek researchers found. Green tea improves both blood flow and the ability of arteries to relax.

When volunteers were given green tea, they experienced almost immediate benefits.

Other studies have shown that black tea also has benefits for cardiovascular health. However, green tea might be even better because it had higher quantities of beneficial compounds called flavonoids, some of which are lost in the oxidation process that black tea undergoes.

Flavonoids are also found in cocoa, tomatoes and grapes.

How tea can keep your mind young

A four-year study has found that tea slows down brain-cell degeneration, and thereby keeps your mind sharp into old age.

Catechins, a natural compound in tea, protect brain cells from damaging protein build-up over the years, maintaining your brain's cognitive capability.

In addition, the caffeine in tea, unlike that in coffee, contains the natural protein theanine, which counters the normal side effects of caffeine such as raised blood pressure, headaches and tiredness.

Researchers studied the tea-drinking habits of over 2,500 Chinese aged 55 and older and gave them memory tests.

While two-thirds of the tea-drinkers maintained their memory test scores two years later, 35 percent of non-tea-drinkers had a decline in their memory test scores, which indicates cognitive decline.

Vitiligo

Vitiligo or Leukoderma is a  skin disease that causes loss of pigment, resulting in irregular pale patches of skin. The precise cause of vitiligo is complex and not fully understood. There is some evidence suggesting it is caused by a combination of auto-immune, genetic, and environmental factors.

I first acquired it when tying my balls up with a shoe lace for sex games and exactly where I had tied,  after a few weeks, these white blotches appeared on my balls and when in the sun, these grew.  I then started noticing it on my hands, feet and knees and  when I attended a skin specialist, he told me that something like 90% of men have Vitiligo on their genitals and it is quite common as just a small white dot somewhere on the body that many do not notice.

Sunlight seems to make it grow larger and for years I kept my balls out of the sun and made sure I did not sleep with my hands touching my face in case it spread.

It can form large patches on the face  and other extremities and it is more embarrassing rather than anything else and with make up it can be hidden. 

There are some remedies available from your doctor and also from natural health clinics and Michael Jackson claims this is why he has gone so white skinned.

My balls seem to have - over the years - filled the white blotches in with a slightly darker pigment that now hides the blotch so it cannot now be seen, and just a few small bits remain.

Science says that around 1 - 2 % of the population has Vitiligo but as a sex worker who has dealt with tens of thousands of naked bodies - I would say that a great many more people have some form of skin condition similar to Vitiligo than claimed,   and the sun definitely aggravates it.

"Dying to Get High:

Marijuana as Medicine,"

In "Dying to Get High," sociologists Wendy Chapkis and Richard Webb have written a sympathetic yet academically rigorous account of the contemporary controversies surrounding medical marijuana. They trace the use of marijuana as medicine in the US, its decline as a medicine in the early 20th Century, its removal from the pharmacopeia in 1941 (just four years after it was banned by federal law), the continuing blockage of research into its medical benefits by ideologically-driven federal authorities, and the renaissance of medical marijuana knowledge today, much of it derived from -- gasp! -- patients, not doctors or researchers.

As sociologists, Chapkis and Webb have a keen eye for the broader social, cultural, and political forces surrounding the issue of medical marijuana, from the rise of the pharmaceutical and medical establishments to the "culture war" contempt for marijuana and users among many Americans. But as much as middle America may disdain pot-smoking hippies, it seems that it is marijuana's location on the wrong side of the modern scientific and pharmaceutical discourse that most hinders its acceptance as a medicine.

Pot is a plant, not a pill. It is an herbal medication, not a chemical compound. It is a "crude plant material," not a "pure drug." All of this, Chapkis and Webb suggest, make it difficult indeed for the medical and scientific establishment to wrap its head around medical marijuana. And when scientific bias is coupled with cultural disdain and fear of widespread "abuse," that the federal government remains resistant to medical marijuana is hardly a surprise.

Chapkis and Webb deliver a resounding, well-reasoned indictment of the political and (pseudo) scientific opposition to medical marijuana, and their succinct discussion of the issues surrounding the controversy is worth the price of admission.

But "Dying to Get High" is also an in-depth portrait of one of the country's most well-known medical marijuana collectives, the Wo/Men's Access to Medical Marijuana (WAMM) collective in Santa Cruz, California, and it is here that the authors are really breaking new ground. They go from the big-picture sociology of medical marijuana in the past century to narrowly focus on ethnography of a patient collective, describing in loving detail the inner workings, dynamics, and tensions of a group with charismatic leadership -- Mike and Valerie Corral -- more than 200 seriously ill patients, and the specter of the DEA always looming.

Their account of the emergence and permanence of WAMM is both moving and enlightening. Rooted in the fertile soil of Santa Cruz, already well-tilled by previous social movements such as feminism, gay rights, and AIDS activism, WAMM may only have been possible in a place that friendly to radical movements and that familiar with activism around issues of medical care and social justice. Chapkis and Webb chart its formation, its growth, its conflicts and problems, and the humanity of its suffering members.

They also tell the story of the 2002 DEA raid on the WAMM garden and its devastating impact on members. But that raid and its aftermath were not just a blow to the sick and dying, they were a call to arms, impelling WAMM into ever more overtly political action to protect itself and the broader movement.

More broadly, Chapkis and Webb do a great service by dissecting WAMM, looking at how it works, how it handles dysfunction, and how it provides a service far beyond mere medical marijuana to its members. WAMM is perhaps the model medical marijuana collective, and it has many lessons to offer the interested reader.

Would a WAMM-style collective work elsewhere? Chapkis and Webb emphasize the importance of the cultural and political backdrop in Santa Cruz in making WAMM possible, but I think the very emergence of WAMM as a successful collective makes the possibility of similar collectives coming into being elsewhere all the more likely. After all, even California as a whole is not as radicalized as Santa Cruz or San Francisco, but similar collectives are popping up in Santa Rosa and the San Fernando Valley, among other places.

In any case, Chapkis and Webb provide plenty to chew on, for those who want to pick up some historical knowledge and debating points, for those interested in the genesis of the contemporary marijuana movement, and for those who are pondering the viability of similarly radical approaches to health and self-organizing.

 

 

Pomegranate Ranked Healthiest Fruit Juice

Researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles have ranked 10 beverages according to their antioxidant levels.

Currently, claims of superior antioxidant activity on beverages can be misleading, as the testing is usually based on a limited spectrum of antioxidant activities.
To get to the bottom of which beverages are best, they used four tests of antioxidant potency, a test of antioxidant functionality, and an evaluation of the total polyphenol content of polyphenol-rich beverages in the marketplace. Here is how the rankings turned out:

A Closer Look at Antioxidant-Rich Juices

Pomegranate Juice
Pomegranate is the healthiest of them all, because it contains the most of every type of antioxidant. It may protect against some cancers, such as prostate cancer. It might also modify heart disease risk factors.
Concord Grape Juice
Concord grape juice is a source of very potent antioxidants. There's some research indicating it may be good for your heart and help reduce blood pressure.
Blueberry Juice
