truthout is an independant news outlet reliant on our donations for support. we cannot trust the main line news media like Sky / Fox - BBC - CNN and most of thr American news media, as we are constantly lied to, bullshitted and fed a diet of clap trap that keeps us in ignorance.  truthout is different.

The White House press corps is in an uproar!  

Is it because the president of the United States and his staff have created a to-kill list that includes Americans? Is it because the stock market and corporate profits are soaring while working wages have stagnated? Is it because the earth may pass the point of no return on climate change if the Keystone XL Pipeline is approved?

No, the well-compensated journalist transcribers assigned to the White House beat are in a lather because they were not allowed to cover President Obama playing a Sunday round of golf with Tiger Woods.

Such are the priorities of the corporate mainstream media: The world may be going to hell in a handbasket, but the pressing concern for the D.C. press corps is being denied access to covering a celebrity on the links.
