BLACK PRIDE



If I opened a restaurant and only served white people - there would be an outcry.   If I was a cab driver and I refused to take black people in my cab, I would be reported for racism and with the new equality laws,  this is not allowed.  

So how come we have a BLACK PRIDE.

I am curious how an organisation can still promote BLACK PRIDE as is this not rascism ?  Would we be allowed to have something called WHITE PRIDE and get away with it without being vilified ?   ( Oh I suppose that sounds a bit like a loaf of bread. )

In the USA they have the BLACK MUSIC CHARTS and surely,  if we had the White Music Charts - all hell would break loose - or am I missing something here ?

This year's free (ticket-only) event will take place in Golden Square, Soho, and will be an integral part of the wider Pride London celebrations on Saturday 29 June 2013.

    JAIL THE BANKERS

I was passed several £20 notes recently that had - in bold black thin point felt tip pen, written on them - JAIL THE BANKERS - and every time I spend one somewhere the staff member laughs when they read it,  and I couldn't agree with the sentiment more.  

So there you are - a suggestion for your £5 - £10 - £20 and £50 notes - JAIL THE BANKERS as we all know it is the banks that have caused this financial mess we are all in and we all know how Iceland jailed their bankers and didn't let them 'off the hook' and they didn't allow them huge tax free bonuses and their economy is better than ours these days - so maybe we should JAIL THE BANKERS  and to hell with whether they will move abroad or not, as they have not proved their worth and all they have shown is their incompetance,  and to hell with multi billion $ bonuses and tax breaks for these assholes who fucked the whole thing up and then have the damned nerve to say ' They are doing God's work.'

Today, someone tried to make a reservation after several e mails between us , and he insisted on doing things 'his way' rather than our usual method, - which was okay - but then after phoning with his card details, announced that he might be a day later than expected as he was unsure of his movements during his holiday and would this matter.  Now - he was only booked in for one night - not a long stay - and when I told him he would be charged for the night he had originally booked and any other night he stayed would also be charged for, he was not amused.  I asked him if he booked a flight on - say British Airways - and turned up a day late, would the airline allow him a free flight or charge him again - as after all, he had missed his booked flight and this was not the airlines responsibility and they could not have empty seats any more than we want empty beds - and he really didn't want - or couldn't - accept this.  His movements are not my concern.  He then became angry with me and cancelled the whole booking and after considerable time spent with him on this,  I charged his card £15 for admin and my time.

Hamilton Hall is a NOT FOR PROFIT VENUE and this kind of behaviour is not to be tollerated.  If you mess people around in business you will pay the consequences.  Over an hour of my time has been wasted with this man.
