We offer lovely accommodation with a stunning and restful
lounge - TV reading & garden room, community and dinning rooms, a very sweet and
cheerful small garden, and all for your relaxation and enjoyment at any time of
the day or night. You don't have to go out, you can stay and relax around
Hamilton Hall even if you are B&B. Bring your 'take away meals' in and use
our facilities - just wash up after you....
There is no permanently manned reception so we rely on you keeping us informed as to your time - approx - of arrival - as we might also be on the beach. After that, you have your own key and can come and go as you please.
You can check your bags and go to the beach and we will look after your things
All pictures of the garden were taken 9th June and 1st July 2008 One of our regular guests, Jimmy, loves it here so much he provided the recycled wood and put the decking down in the garden and I bought some slabs and sand and he worked SO HARD to put the small patio down and it has made the garden so much nicer and he did all this for nothing, as he loves it here. So BIG THANKYOU to Jimmy. It is a lovely space to sit out in and get the sun or chill under an umbrella with a beer and a fag ( ? ) and chat to the guys and in the evening watch the stars above.
if its a cold winters night, we might pop one of these into your bed to warm it up for you... ha ha... NOT !

Workshop and special events are catered with full board catering
If you are staying with us for B&B Between 12pm and 2pm - and 6pm - 8pm If you are going to arrive outside of these times, it is no problem as long as we have been notified in advance with a vague arrival time. We will then be here with the kettle on... This is because we also like a private life and need to get out and see the sea occasionally - or even take an afternoon nap, or on occasions have rampant nookie without being disturbed... ha ha HOME PAGE
Just look at all the little extras we offer
as much juice, cola, lemonade, coffee, tea etc as you like Biscuits and cakes. Soya milk. Rice crackers.

If you are staying B&B - bring your 'take away' pizza, etc.
Free car park and a garage for any bikes or motorbikes Own keys to come and go as
you please.
To bring your own
booze as we are not licensed.
It is now ( July 2007 ) illegal to smoke
in any public building and that includes Hamilton Hall even though BINGE
DRINKING is FAR more dangerous for your health and kills far more people from
throat cancer than smoking. So - I ask -
where are the health warnings on booze ??? Urban Living - breathing in the
crap in the atmosphere, is the number one cause of throat cancers... not
smoking.
okay okay... time to get off the soap box....

there are several gay owned hotels in Bournemouth but none are exclusively for gay and bisexual men
A few words from John Bellamy - your host:- "I have personally traveled and stayed at many gay hotels in the UK and I have figured out what I like and I have brought these elements into what we offer at Hamilton Hall and by going that extra little bit further, by offering cheerful surroundings, engaging and pleasant staff, comfortable and informal surroundings.....with personalized good sized bedrooms and a pleasant casual atmosphere to help you feel relaxed and 'at home, I am thrilled at what we have achieved here. We are also the only hotel in Bournemouth that is exclusively for gay and bisexual men. In fact, these days, since the change in the sex equality laws, we are probably one of the very few men only hotels left in the whole of the UK.
John Bellamy at the Streisand concert at the Dome - 2007. ( Well I'm gay - so of course Streisand... ) We offer cheerful conversation over breakfast at one large table which incorporates everyone together, like friends, with a pleasant atmosphere. It is, after all, the beginning of the day ahead, so why not start it in a relaxed and comfortable manner. Friendships blossom and the day starts with a laugh. You are also very welcome to stay in during the day and enjoy the garden, lounge etc. and drink as much coke or tea / coffee as you like and help yourself to the cakes and biscuits and even bring your 'take aways' back. Our bedrooms are like all the rooms within Hamilton Hall, in that they all have that extra touch of comfort and 'home from home' feel that I have found makes all the difference to my stay somewhere. I think you'll agree with those who return time and time again. I love Hamilton Hall and I know you will to. In Peace, we welcome you. "

Thank you to PINK PAPER

Thank you for

wow.
John Bellamy on Studland Beach 2005 - hiding the middle age spread.... 'With honesty,
friendship and nothing to hide, we welcome you in peace and harmony, in
the hope that many others within the gay community will cut the crap, stop
the bullshit and money grabbing attitude and value each other as individuals.
For we all wish for exactly the same things in life... a home, food and water,
to love and to be loved, to feel secure and safe, to be employed and respected,
to offer and to receive the best that each of us can offer and to value and
honour our fellow men and women as equals and as we would each like
to be treated in return. The gay community has a lot to learn still and we aim
to be a little nicer, a little kinder and a little more thoughtful. We may make
mistakes, we may screw up sometimes and we may get it wrong, but then, we
are only human and mistakes happen and no one regrets it more than us.
In our own little way - and as the only venue of its kind for gay and bisexual
men anywhere in Europe, we are trying to put some soul into the gay community,
and let's face it guys, it needs it.'
