Almost the entire
venue has
been
refurbished this winter, having a stunning contemporary style with
traditional comfort for your enjoyment -
scroll down for pictures of each of the rooms
We do not have TV's and kettles in our
bedrooms DELIBERATELY as this isolates people and we have a
complete and huge range of FREE hot and cold refreshments
available 24/7 downstairs and a delightful cozy TV room.
Some room sharing may be
offered when we are busy, retreat style. You can either
accept or not, the choice is yours. Private rooms are also
available. You see, we are not like any other hotel you
have stayed at before and we may work somewhat differently than
others.

Our rooms are light and airy,
spacious and clean. W e are constantly upgrading bedding, furnishings
etc. in an hotel where you can truly relax and unwind. You
won't find better rooms in a gay mens hotel in the UK for the price
we charge and that is guaranteed. With rich bold colours and crisp
clean whites, our contemporary decor has proved very popular with
our regular guests - of which we have many - and who show their
rooms off to others - with - 'I'll show me mine if
you show me yours.' Some guests request the same room each
time they stay with us as they love the feel of familiarity and
warmth.
Worth double what you pay.

The
next time you think your hotel bill is too high....you
might want to use this logic.......
A
husband and wife are traveling by car from Key West to
Boston. After almost twenty-four hours on the road,
they're too tired to continue, and they decide to stop
for a rest. They stop at a nice hotel and take a room,
but they only plan to sleep for four hours and then get
back on the road. When they check out four hours later,
the desk clerk hands them a bill for $350. The man
explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high.
He tells the clerk although it's a nice hotel, the rooms
certainly aren't worth $350. When the clerk tells him
$350 is the standard rate, the man insists on speaking
to the Manager.
he
Manager appears, listens to the man, and then explains
that the hotel has an Olympic- sized pool and a huge
conference center that were available for the husband
and wife to use.. "But we didn't use them", the man
complains. "Well, they are here, and you could have,"
explains the Manager. He goes on to explain they could
have taken in one of the shows for which the hotel is
famous. "The best entertainers from New York, Hollywood
and Las Vegas perform here," the Manager says. "But we
didn't go to any of those shows," complains the man
again. "Well, we have them, and you could have", the
Manager replies. No matter what facility the Manager
mentions, the man replies, "But we didn't use it!"
The
Manager is unmoved, and eventually the man gives up and
agrees to pay. He writes a check and gives it to the
Manager. The Manager is surprised when he looks at the
check. "But sir," he says, "this check is only made out
for $100." "That's right," says the man. "I charged you
$250 for sleeping with my wife." "But I didn't!"
exclaims the Manager. "Well," the man replies, "she was
here, and you could have."

Bright and airy during the day, warm and intimate in the
evening with subdued lighting, loads of cushions and it has that personal
touch, often - usually - lacking in hotels.

South facing
and bright and sunny, this is a wonderful place to relax with a cuppa and watch
the world go by. Hamilton Hall is on a side street surrounded with other large
Victorian houses, now almost all converted to flats and is a 5 minute stroll to
the beach and the esoteric market and shops of Boscombe. Bournemouth
centre is a 5 -10 minute drive away.

As you can guess, I love the garden and although I would love an acre - I
love the small garden that we have and on those hot sunny days of summer
sunbathing naked, and those long sultry evenings when we can sit out under the
stars and listen to the sea gulls singing together ( or is it screaming at each
other ) it is lovely to chat with strangers who soon become friends and we have
had many relationships and many good and dear friendships born here.

All pictures of the garden were
taken
9th June and 1st July 2008
We have added a whole new area to our garden this year (
2009 )and have created a wonderful new space to relax and chill out in.
Kristian has worked so hard on the decking, fencing, lighting
etc. Thanks to Christian.
Pictures to come soon.

WiFi available even out in the garden

If you want home from home comforts, you will
find it here.
We do not have tea and coffee making facilities or televisions in
the rooms as we believe that this isolates people from each other in their own
little prison, however comfortable. We have a small and very comfortable TV room
downstairs and a large array of hot and cold drinks and refreshments in the
dining room for you to help yourself from 24/7 - and who knows, if you come down
in your jim-jams or the noddie in the middle of the night, you may meet
another guest and have a chatter and connect as friends. It only takes a simple
hello.
Many people hide behind their computer screens
and do not meet or communicate face to face and we encourage a 'coming together'
in friendship

A few words from your host.

'I have
personally stayed at many gay hotels and also many of the huge
multi nationals and I have figured out what I have enjoyed and what I
thought was lacking and I have brought all of the positives together, as
well as I can, here at Hamilton Hall for your enjoyment.
We go that
little bit further, and offer engaging and pleasant staff, comfortable
and informal surroundings,- lovely contemporary decor with a
traditional touch of coziness and that personal touch in good sized
bedrooms which are light and airy, spacious and not cramped,- and a pleasant casual atmosphere to help you feel relaxed and
at home.
Bring your
friends in for free refreshments, chill out alone with a good book
or laugh your tits off with the other guests, as many do. Find your
solitude or company, the choice is yours as we have plenty of places to
do that besides hiding in your room.
The Lounge
is warm and inviting. The TV / Garden Room is cozy and intimate and the
garden is wonderful on those hot sultry days and evenings. The
Conservatory is warm even on winters days and if you want to practice
yoga - our Community Room is perfect.
You have
many choices at Hamilton Hall, one being what NOT to wear today, as if
you wish, you can be naked throughout the venue at any time and have no
worry about what others think.
There really is nowhere within the
whole of Europe that offers the facilities, the comfort and the
friendliness that is found at Hamilton Hall and we really are
leading the way. We are the only such retreat anywhere that we can
find, that is exclusively for gay and bisexual men.
I am
thrilled at what we have achieved here and I hope you will love it .
I look
forward to welcoming you with a smile and with friendship.
John
Bellamy

Here I am at the Barbra Streisand
concert in 2007 at the O2 - or The Dome ( well I'm gay and of a certain
age... so naturally, I went to see Streisand, and was actually treated
by a customer of Hamilton Hall who paid £520 for my ticket...and she was
worth every single penny...and big thank you to Richard who took me...
aaaahhhhh....
mmmm.... 'Love - soft as an easy
chair... You don't bring me flowers any more ... People...People who
need .... la la la la - la la'
If you'd like a nice long walk on a sunny afternoon with
me and my dog, you'd be very welcome to join us - look at where I went
today - May 6th 2009...

John Bellamy on Studland Beach
2005 - hiding the middle age spread....
'With honesty,
friendship and nothing to hide, we welcome you in peace and harmony, in
the hope that many others within the gay community will cut the crap, stop
the bullshit and money grabbing attitude and value each other as individuals.
For we all wish for exactly the same things in life... a home, food and water,
to love and to be loved, to feel secure and safe, to be employed and respected,
to offer and to receive the best that each of us can offer and to value and
honour our fellow men and women as equals and as we would each like
to be treated in return. The gay community has a lot to learn still and we aim
to be a little nicer, a little kinder and a little more thoughtful. We may make
mistakes, we may screw up sometimes and we may get it wrong, but then, we
are only human and mistakes happen and no one regrets it more than us.
In our own little way - and as the only venue of its kind for gay and bisexual
men anywhere in Europe, we are trying to put some soul into the gay community,
and let's face it guys, it needs it.'
Always with love - John Bellamy

I'm not surprised this guy is tired - he's just read right to the bottom of
this page and is now knackered...
