Britons Disgusted With NHS Delays Are Using PMI To Skip Queues
As I wrote about recently waiting 59 minutes on hold to speak to my local doctors receptionist who was rude and ignorant when asking me personal things about my health which I was NOT pleased at talking to a receptionist about and where she admitted she didn't know what I was talking about - ( of course she doesn't, she is a receptionist NOT A DOCTOR ) and then told me I would not even be able to speak to a doctor FOR 3 WEEKS and when I said that was not good enough - she hung up on me and THAT ATTITUDE ABSOLUTE DISGUSTS AND IS ABUSIVE.
They state LOUD AND CLEAR that they are not there to be abused BUT NEITHER IS THE PATIENT YET THEY GET AWAY WITH OFFERING APPALLING RUDE AND CONDESCENDING SERVICE TO PEOPLE WHO ARE ILL AND STRESSED AND THIS KIND OF ATTITUDE IS ABSOLUTELY 100% WRONG.
Then to be told they cannot even speak to - let alone have a face to face - with a doctor for 3 weeks is absolutely appalling and unprofessional and NOT WORTHY OF MY RESPECT AT ALL.
While the NHS has good intentions, the fact of the matter is many people are displeased with the following types of delays in their services:
Ambulances: Not unconscious or bleeding? Then you are not "high priority" and can expect to wait 1-8+ hours.
Waiting Rooms: Once you make it to the Emergency Department, you'll still have to wait your time. Even if you're sick, injured, or in pain, the expected wait time is another 1-8+ hours.
Medical Care: After seeing a doctor and knowing what treatment is required, there is more waiting involved. With record-breaking queues of 5.6 million people, the wait times can take up to three years.
