Since it was adopted in 2013, the so-called "gay propaganda law" has had a devastating impact on the lives of LGBT+ people in Russia. And it has inspired similar harmful laws in other countries, like the anti-LGBT+ law passed in Hungary this year.

Poland and Hungary have created LGBTQ FREE ZONES and I have absolutely no idea what LGBTQ people do if they live in one of these zones. Promotion of anything to do with LGBTQ lifestyle etc. is banned - a bit like our now debunked Clause 28 but goes much further.

The EU has eventually threatened Poland with financial cut backs if they continue with this and it looks as if Poland is heading for a lot of trouble as half the country want to stay in the EU and accept the rules and guidelines for a forward looking country, while the narrow minded Christians want to outlaw all sorts of things that go against the EU charter or membership, so they could get thrown out of the EU if they continue with this.

However, the cowards in the EU do not want to throw anyone out as with the UK already leaving, they do not want anyone else pulling against or any more problems so the EU will probably capitulate - as while they can bully the UK, Poland will - in all probability, just tell them to fuck off.

With Russia playing hard ball, who knows where this could end.
