FIRSTY DAY AT SCHOOL

"First day of class, the law teacher walked in." The first thing he did was ask for the name of a student sitting in the front row:

- What's your name?

- My name is Nelson.

- Get out of my class and never come back! he ordered him.

Nelson was confused. The teacher was heading towards him, he got up quickly, packed up his stuff and left the classroom.

Everyone was scared and outraged but no one was talking.

- Very Good! Let's get it started. What are laws for? asked the teacher.

The students were still scared, but slowly they started answering the question.

- To have order in our society.

- No!

- So that people pay for their actions.

- No! Does anyone know the answer to this question?

- For justice to be done, spoke shy a young girl.

- Finally! Justice! But what is justice?

Everyone was starting to get mad at the teachers attitude. However, they kept answering.

- To protect the rights of the people.

- Okay. But still?

- To differentiate good from bad, to reward those who do good.

- Okay, so answer this question: Did I act correctly when I kicked Nelson out of class?

Everyone was silent, no one responded.

- I want an unanimous answer!

- NO! They answered with one voice.

- Could we say I committed an injustice?

- Yes!

- And why has nobody done anything about it? Why do we want laws and rules if we don’t have the will to practice them? Each of you is obliged to speak up when you witness an injustice. All of you. Don't ever stay quiet again!

Go and get Nelson. After all, he is the teacher, I'm from another period.

You know, when we don't stand up for our rights, dignity is lost, and dignity can't be negotiated. "

Dolphin asks for help.

The famous Italian diver Enzo Maiorca dove into the sea of Syracuse and was talking to his daughter Rossana who was aboard the boat. Ready to go in, he felt something slightly hit his back. He turned and saw a dolphin. Then he realized that the dolphin did not want to play but to express something.

The animal dove and Enzo followed. At a depth of about 12 meters, trapped in an abandoned net, there was another dolphin. Enzo quickly asked his daughter to grab the diving knives. Soon, the two of them managed to free the dolphin, which, at the end of the ordeal, emerged, issued an “almost human cry” (describes Enzo). A dolphin can stay under water for up to 10 minutes, then it drowns.

The released dolphin was helped to the surface by Enzo, Rosana and the other dolphin. That’s when the surprise came: she was pregnant! The male circled them, and then stopped in front of Enzo, touched his cheek (like a kiss), in a gesture of gratitude and then they both swam off.

Enzo Maiorca ended his speech by saying: “Until man learns to respect and communicate with the animal world, he will never be able to know his true role on this Earth.”

Kindness shown to a stranger

When 19 year-old Dairy Queen manager Joey Prusak was serving a blind customer, he noticed the man drop a $20 bill. The woman behind the blind man grabbed the $20 bill and put it in her purse.

Prusak took the woman aside and instructed her to return the money, after which she said no. The teenager made her leave, told her,” Ma’am, you can either return the $20 bill or you can leave, because I’m not going to serve someone as disrespectful as you”, the woman left.

But when Prusak returned to the blind man, he gave him $20 out of his own money. Prusak notes, ”l was just doing what l thought was the right thing to do without even thinking about it”

London Underground actually did something thoughtful

In London, there's a woman who goes every day on the subway and sits on the dock just to listen to the announcement recorded by her husband in 1950.

Margaret McCollum after the death of her Oswald Laurence, sits on the bench waiting to hear this recording that became one of London's most famous "Mind the gap" (attention the space between the train and the dock). In 2003, Oswald died leaving a huge void in Margaret's heart. So Margaret found a way to feel his presence closest.

But from the day after more than half a century, this voice was replaced by an empty electronic recording. Out of distress Margaret asked this cassette tape to the London subway transport company to continue listening to her husband's voice at home.

But, knowing the moving history, the company decided to restore the announcement in the only stop near the house where the woman lives, specifically at the Embankment stop of Northern Line, where all passengers can listen today Oswald Laurence's voice and to think that eternal love really exists.

Wonderful gesture by the authorities

Learning an important lesson

Last night, me and my mom had a slight argument when she told me she and her old time friends had plan to go on a holiday tour, as they used to do in the past ,agreed to do it one last time while they are still able. But my mom is already a senior, had bouts of arthritis at times and is taking maintenance med. l pointed to her about the “ what if’s “!

Today, l met a nice and bubbly old lady on a wheelchair and we became friends. She gave me permission to post her pic “only if” l let everyone know that she is 93 years young. I told her she ( and her pink hair) made my day and she replied “well, l refuse to be that little old white haired lady”!

Later on my way home, that cheerful encounter earlier put me in deep thoughts about my mom, what if I’m making her miserable because of my unreasonable worrying. So now l have made up my mind to help her enjoy and have a full life while she still can❣️♥️

Thoughtful words and meanings

Today I was in a shoe store that sells only shoes, nothing else. A young girl with a tattoo and green hair walked over to me and asked, "What brings you in today, I looked at her and said, "I'm interested in buying a refrigerator." She didn't quite know how to respond, had that deer in the headlights look.

I was thinking about old age and decided that old age is when you still have something on the ball, but you are just too tired to bounce it.

When people see a cat's litter box they always say, "Oh, have you got a cat" I just say, "No, it's for company!"

Employment application blanks always ask who is to be called in case of an emergency. I think you should write, "An ambulance."

The older you get the tougher it is to lose weight because by then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.

The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement.

Have you ever noticed: The Roman Numerals for forty (40) are XL.

The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he knows when he's really in trouble.

Did you ever notice that when you put the 2 words "The" and "IRS" together it spells "Theirs"

Aging: Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me.

I want people to know why I look this way.

I've traveled a long way and a lot of the roads were not paved.

Ah! Being young is beautiful but being old is comfortable.

Lord, keep your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth.

May you always have:

Love to share, Cash to spare, Tires with air, And friends who care.

The cost of an ambulance in the USA

In the US, is it true that when you ride an ambulance to go to the hospital, it costs money for the drive there? Why would it cost money for you to be taken there if you’re in emergency need?

Yes. The day I learned that there are places in the world that don't charge for an ambulance ride, I realized the “American dream" is called that because you have to be asleep to believe it. I crashed on an electric scooter one night on my way home from a new job. I woke up in an ambulance, and immediately started to panic, not because of my injuries, because I knew I couldn't afford the ride. I even asked the paramedics to take me home! I said it as a joke, but, I was only 5 blocks from my house when I crashed.

I had two weeks until my insurance kicked in. When I got to the hospital, I asked to sign a waiver and be discharged, no way I could afford any treatment! The nurse talked me into a tetanus shot and sent me home.

The bill for the ambulance was $1700.00. It's now in collections and keeping me from getting a home loan, or car loan. This is a picture I took of myself when I got home from the hospital.

Deuteronomy 25:12–12 King James Version has to be the most ridiculous commandment in the Bible.

Homeless people are just that - people.

"Tonight I won $200 on a scratch ticket. I was so excited until I looked up and met Glenn. He was holding a homeless sign his hands shook and he was crying as the negative degree wind whipped his face.

I rolled down my window and offered to buy him coffee which he was hesitant but grateful to accept. As we drove to Dunkin Donuts I asked him where he was going to sleep he said he didn’t know so on the way I called the local and other homeless shelters within a 10 mile area...no spots. It was then I knew why I won the $200, God placed Glenn in my path for a reason, so I drove him to the Rosewood Inn in Wareham and paid for a 2 night stay. I've never seen a grown man cry; he began praying and telling me I was an angel. So tonight I know my new friend Glenn is warm."
