Trump: 145% is too high, tariffs on China will be significantly reduced

Unable to withstand the pressure, Trump found a way out!

US President Donald Trump has signaled a potential U-turn on his trade war with China, saying the high tariffs on Chinese goods will "come down substantially, but it won't be zero."

"145 percent is very high. It won't be that high, it's not going to be that high… it won't be anywhere near that high," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.

"We're going to be very nice. They're going to be very nice, and we'll see what happens. But ultimately, they have to make a deal because otherwise they're not going to be able to deal in the United States," Trump said, referring to China.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told a private meeting of investors in Washington on Tuesday that he expects a "de-escalation" in the trade war between the US and China, according to multiple reports.

"China has repeatedly stated its solemn position on the tariff issue. Tariff and trade wars have no winner. China does not want to fight these wars but is not scared of them. Let me stress that if the US truly wants to resolve the issue through dialogue and negotiation, it should stop maximum pressure and capricious and destructive behavior.

This never works with China. For any dialogue to happen, they must be based on equality, respect and mutual benefit. If the US is determined to fight a tariff and trade war, China's response will continue to the end."

"China is a responsible country. We've taken countermeasures against the bullying behavior of the US, not only to safeguard our legitimate rights and interests, but also to uphold international rules and order, the common interests of countries in the world, and international fairness and justice. In the face of US hegemony and bullying, remember this: give the bully an inch, he will take a mile."

"If the US continues to play this numbers game with tariffs, it will simply be ignored. But if the US continues to inflict actual damage on China's rights and interests, China will respond with resolute countermeasures and will stand our ground to the end."

Every time Trump talks about the plane gifted from Qatar, he makes it sound a worse bribe. Then , when he returns home from the opulence of the east, where rulers are the supreme power, something he desperately wants, and where he was treated as another king, he has to face reality. Why can’t he see his life could be just as pleasant as in the east, if he just were not such an asshole, if he just were a decent human being. We are all experts on trumps facial expressions by now, whether we love him or harbor murderous intent. We have had to endure his fat mouthed rantings at the national microphone since 2015. The look on his face is not a normal expression. He is uncomfortable, or in pain and he is pretending his distress and turmoil does not exist within him. This Jet that trump was given is worthless. It has the same value as the dead small animal your favorite Dog or Cat Killed and laid at your feet as a Gift. The Jumbo Jet was retired 5 years ago from Qatari Royal Government service and has been setting in storage costing The Qatari Government millions annually to store and maintain. It has been up for sale for 5 years. No one wants it. It is a gas guzzler and this cost makes it not worth the expense of using it. It is too large to land except at major Airports and therefore ineffective for regional travel. maybe trump is the butt of jokes in the Mid-East because he is so out of touch with reality.

The only reason they gave the Jet to trump was because the scrap metal value was not as great as getting to screw America’s fascist dictator giving trump the contorted “try to act normal and try to bare the pain” look in the Picture. Meanwhile the cosigner representative of the Emir finds the screwing of America hilarious.

trump’s justification for the jet is that the new Airforce One Jets are not ready and behind schedule. But national security demands that this jet is not even usable without a security sweep that estimated to cost over 40 million dollars. Then the Jet will have to be outfitted with everything necessary to Government protocol for the Presidential(now dictator) Office. This will cost billions and take years. By then the new Air Force One Jets will be operational. Everyone in the trump regime can’t be so stupid that they do not see this? Or are they really this stupid or just afraid to confront the Mad Dictator

What this adds up to is that this whole several weeks of international media and congressional gyrations over this ridiculous chapter in the trump drama saga known as “the Jet” are a total waste of time and a diversion from the dismantling of Law, Tradition, 3 Co-Equal Branches of Government and of The Constitution in America

Once again, trump proves bad for America. These mid-eastern dictatorships were formerly banned from receiving America’s best AI technology, and with good reason. Now they are not only buy it. they are going to invest and own the means of its production within American Shores. Jobs are always good, but not at the cost of American security which trump does not care about in the longer run. it interferes with his families short term profit through grift and Graft goals.

No responsible truly American leader would have ever given elon musk unfettered access to Government data bases with private citizens personal information and vital National Security Secrets, or cozied up to putin and given him stolen national security intelligence. Only a person that cared nothing for the future of humanity and American Citizens would do this. It is an open secret that the Saudi’s finance terrorism against the United States and also fund the war against it, playing both sides of the fence. These are only the tidbits of crime that we know about, no telling what we really don’t know yet.

BTW, GDP shrunk in trump’s first 100 golden days. The Canadians just replaced America with all new International trading partners. Europe is proving that they don’t need America. America is going in the wrong direction under trump. He Must be ousted. maga must be trampled under foot since they intend to murder everyone that does agree with them. Lets continue to protest and get in the streets. The overthrow will come. trump is breaking more laws by the day. We have the right by law and by the Universe to overthrow him.

I am so pleased to see that China is standing its ground against the Bully tRump and calling the shots - as America will loose BIG TIME if and when China decides to tell America where to shove their attitude.

Putin is doing the same, as he is - basically - telling tRump to ' mind his own business in other countries foreigh affairs'- and tRump is FURIOUS that Putin and China - as neither is bending the knee to him - the arroghant petulant spoiled brat.

tRump - for all his bluster and bragging, claimed to have the war between Russia and the Ukrain sorted out ON DAY ONE of his new Presidency, and all he is concentrating on is

1) His big new shiny illegal toy ( a $400 milion plane - highly illegal. )

2) Tariffs galore - madness, absolute destruction of American business both small and corporate.

and he expected everyone - from day one - to welcome him with open arms as 'The Next Coming.' - the Next Messiah - the hero of the world - SUPERMAN - but in a well aged, fat, painted orange - balding wobbly old mans body who forgets where he is, cannot concentrate for more than 20 minutes at a time, whose height of culture is McDonalds and who is massively dishonest, lies out of all corners of his mouth, is a rapist and fellon and who seems not to know what the truth and reality is, and who does not recognise honesty, empathy or caring, and he hasn't a clue what being one with the people means AT ALL, as he sees us ALL as being under him, mere - we are the 'huddled masses yearning to break free' while he - keeps us in chains.
