U.S. Veterans Could Be Denied Medical Care Based on Marital Status and Being Members of the Democratic Party
Cearly, in the USA, bigotry, rascism, and all the other negative aspects that limit people and shut them off from services just because of the colour of their skin, their political viewsbeing LGBT or anythig eles, is becoming legal, AND THIS IS MODERN DAY AMERICA ?
Under the Trump administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs recently imposed new guidelines that will allow doctors, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare workers to discriminate against veterans based on whether they are unmarried, divorced, participate in a union, or are Democrats.
The VA's integrated hospital system is the largest in the US. It accounts for upwards of 1,000 clinics and 170 hospitals, and with approximately 26,000 doctors and 9 million patients in its system.
Previous bylaws within the VA's integrated hospital system had prohibited discrimination on the basis of not only race, sex, age, color, religion, and disability, but also on the basis of politics, marital status, and national origin. Now, protections for the latter three categories have been removed.
This is horrifying and could have far-reaching — and chilling — consequences.
Dr. Kenneth Kizer, the former Undersecretary for Health with the VA, explained that these new rules: "seem to open the door to discrimination on the basis of anything that is not legally protected."
He worries that now, medical staff could potentially refuse treatment for veterans based on a wide range of other criteria too, such as if are seeking care after a sexual assault.
Veterans and members of the military risk their lives for their country, often resulting in serious consequences such as PTSD, injuries, or chronic health conditions.
Is this how Trump will repay them ?
Veterans deserve better !
I know I go on about America a lot and Trump and the dangers of his union, and after some years living all over the USA, I can honestly say it is a beautiful country but full of crazies - and joyously also full of wonderful kind, thoughtful people who just happen to be a little innocent and naive about the rest of the world as - most - have never even been outside their country and many, never been outside of their own state.
Americans are forcefed this bullshit as kids about being the biggest, the best, the fastest, the global police force and how the whole world listens when the USA speaks and how th world holds its breath as America rules the planet, and they truly believe this. believing that if they come to the Uk they do not have to adhere to UK laws and that they are covered under USA law - - which is such bollocks and such moronis thinking.
America is not the world.
America is not respected.
America is feared only becase it is a bully.
Americans are - largely - laughed at for their behaviour abroad
America is racist
America IS homo and trans phobic.
America fears a man in a frock - a drag queen - ( but not the priest in a frock who molests the choir boys...)
But all of this is taught to them. they are taught through the media and bullshit politicians that drag queens want to convert and molest little boys which is such bollocks as over 90% of chld molesters - are straight - not gay - and most chld mlesters ARE KNOWN TO THE FAMILY - and do not think Mother gets off scott free as there is just as much abuse from women as there is from men, it is jjust not talked about a smuch.

First.. you do not ‘travel in Europe’. I will lay odds that you’re one of those culturally stunted Americans who’s never been more than fifty miles from the little town he was born in. Second.. there is no such language as “American”. There is English, and there is Bad English. I’ll let you decide which one of those Americans speak.
Europe is not a country. It’s dozens of countries. And in each and every one, education is far superior to that in America.
Did you know… when a child from the UK school system moves to the US to be enrolled in the American system.. poor mite!… he or she is immediately advanced by two to three grades? That’s right. What we learn and master at age eight, you don’t even touch until age eleven. It’s awkward for the poor British child, being in grade six when he’s only just completed grade three. But that’s the way it is.
Oh PLUS - In an American school you are searched for weapons like guns, as the amount of childen murdering other children in school is sadly common in the USA.
I visited Spain and was forrified to discover all this foreign food stuff. Don't they know how to cook decent American food.
Why don't the people in Europe have guns to protect themselves from others with guns.

In Mexico, I was arrested and prosecuted for a driving error and was told that the laws of the USA have nothing to do with Mexico, and I demanded to be treated under American law. It cost me a week in a Mexican jail as I was not having it and the louder I screamed my American rights the longer I got in a prison cell. This is an outrage.
Are you Brits insane driving on the wrong side of the road, why not copy us Americans and do it correctly.
