Not a Care or Nursing Home - just a nice large Victorian house hotel - offering superior accommodation since March 2000 as the only retreat style hotel exclusively for men.

Costs from £1,200 PER MONTH
My Brothers Mother-in-law has been paying £1,500 PER WEEK for a care home... ( 2025/26 )

WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY
You get your own room.
Self Service breakfast.
Dinner all together around one large table like family. Catered and served.
Full use of all the downstairs rooms - Lounge, TV Room, Dining / Community Room
Conservatory, Garden - Laundry Room and even the Kitchen -
( Kitchen use does depend on times when suitable. Kitchen is closed between 1 - 5pm. )
Hot & Cold Refreshments, cakes etc. are availale - FREE - Self Serve 24/7
All utiility bills paid. Double Glazed. Centrally Heated.
Fitted carpets throughout. New furnishings, beding etc.
Brink your own bits and bobs for your room to make it more personal.
Dog walking.
WiFi throughout. Netflix
Movie nights.
Friendly Company.
You look after your own room and personal laundry ( clothing etc. ) but we look after the rest and with your help to keep the place as you would expect to find it - we are not here to serve you - you are here to be a part of the community. We look after the hotel, and you look after your own space.
Support from everyone else.

Join in any of our weekend workshops free of charge.
Assist each other with Social Services or the nurse popping in.
Doctor & Dentist - 2 minutes walk away on the flat. Shops. Post Office and supermarkets - 4 - 5 miutes walk away - on the flat
Seaside - 10 miutes walk away down hill - so uphill on the way back.
