Mick Jagger, the legendary frontman of the Rolling Stones, has decided to donate his share of the band’s catalog to charity rather than leave it to his children.

Valued at an impressive US$500 million (around R$2.5 billion), the catalog represents a significant portion of his wealth. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Jagger explained that his children don’t need the money to live, expressing his desire to use his fortune for a greater good. He emphasized his intention to make a positive impact in the world. At the time of this announcement, Jagger’s children range in age from his eldest, 52, to his youngest, who is just six years old.
Despite his children’s varying ages, Mick is clear in his decision to forgo passing down this enormous wealth to them directly, choosing instead to contribute to charitable causes. His approach reflects a deeper personal philosophy about wealth and legacy, focused more on social good than on familial inheritance.
Among Jagger's heirs is his 25-year-old son, Lucas, who was born in 1999 from his relationship with Brazilian television personality Luciana Gimenez. While Mick’s decision has sparked discussions about inheritance and philanthropy, it is clear that he intends to leave a legacy that extends beyond his musical contributions, aiming to benefit the world in a more meaningful way.

I’m British, but live in France now.
Last January I was flying back from Leeds Bradford airport to Paris.
The flight was fully booked and the airline were being really strict about our hand luggage allowance - 1 bag in the overhead compartment only, 1 handheld bag and coats etc had to go under the seat in front of you.
My handbag was rammed full and also had a 1 litre bottle of duty free vodka pushed on top as well. This packed tightly under the seat with my coat on top of it.
Part of the way into the journey, the young English lady sat next to me said very quietly, ‘excuse me but there is smoke coming from under the seat in front of you’.
I retrieved my handbag to discover that the button on my vape had been pushed on, causing it to emit smoke.
The young lady said, ‘Oh thank goodness, I thought that the plane was on fire!’
That, to me, sums up the British response to a crisis entirely

Marilyn is said to have once joked with Einstein:
"You and I can have a child – with my beauty and your intelligence."
To which he replied:

"Or…my intelligence and your beauty."
What most people didn’t know was that Marilyn Monroe had an IQ of 165, higher than Einstein.
Norman Jean (her real name) was not just a Hollywood icon. She was a lover of books, with her personal library containing about 1,000 titles. She read poetry, philosophy, theater, not in search of fame, but in search of truth.
He left us with some unforgettable words:
* "Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius."
* "It's better to be alone than to be unhappy with someone else."
* "If I followed all the rules, I would never get anywhere."
* "Smile broadly - life is a beautiful thing."

"Charlie you know how much money we made for working all of 12 hours on stage?"
We headed out the back door of Graceland toward the barn to check the horses."How much?" I said.
"For 12 hours of music, after paying off all our expenses, we brought home a little over $800,000!" he said.
I went upstairs to his bedroom one night at Graceland. The room was as cold as a snowfield in theRockies. Elvis loved the air that way. One of the guys used to tell people, "It's so cold that you couldhang meat in there."
I sat down on the couch by Elvis bed and tried to keep from shivering.Had to go in his huge closet and pull down one of his robes. Wrapped it around me. lt was one of those soft blue ones Elvis liked.
With the hood you can pull over your head and that's just what I did with it. l sat back down on the end of the couch, crossed my legs like a mediating Eskimo, and smiled. He watched me.
"Charlie." he said."
Yea, Elvis?"
He punched the big pillow and leaned back on it. "Did you ever stop to think what one little boy from Tupelo, Mississippi, and another little boy from Decatur, Alabama, have done?" he asked. 'What's that, Elvis?" "We entertained the whole world." he said. I nodded.
"Yea.We had done more than 2,000 shows together" and Elvis looked up at the ceiling.
He stayed that way along time. His smile turned, slowly as twilight falling, into a faint look of puzzlement. Therewas a wrinkle of concentration between his eyes. I noticed a touch of gray at his temples. I had seen that look many times before. He shook his head.
"It never ceases to amaze me."

He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs."
The rancher said, "okay, but don't go into that field over there...", as he pointed out the location.

The DEA Agent verbally exploded and said, "look mister, I have the authority of the federal government with me!" Reaching into his rear back pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher.
"See this badge?! This badge means I can go wherever I want... On any land! No questions asked, no answers given! Do you understand old man?!"
The rancher kindly nodded, apologized, and went about his chores. Moments later the rancher heard loud screams, he looked up and saw the DEA agent running for his life, being chased by the ranchers big Santa Gertrudis Bull...... With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it was likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The old rancher threw down his tools, ran as fast as he could to the fence, and yelled at the top of his lungs......
"YOUR BADGE! SHOW HIM YOUR BADGE!"

My daughter and I had flown down to Florida. As we were waiting for our ride we noticed a man sitting in a wheelchair trying to make his phone work a half hour later my daughter walked up to him and asked if he needed help. She is fluent in Spanish and he said he was trying to call his son to come get him but he could not get the wifi to work. She took out her phone and called his son. In about ten minutes the son arrived and thanked us so much for helping his father. I have never been hugged as much as that day.
He said he knew about what time his dad was to get there but was waiting for the phone call that never came. A week later he called again to thank us and all we did was make one phone call. But his dad was stuck not knowing what to do to hook to the wifi available there. He had numerous medical problems which made it worse. But his dad wanted to pay us for the cost of the phone call.
He was told she had unlimited calls so there was no charge to just pay it forward if the event arises. I hope all who see a stranded traveller can walk up and say do you need help. ?

WOW, something amazing just happened to me
and I have to share it with everyone. American Airlines started a new rule where you have to pay to bring a carry-on bag on the plane. It’s silly, but that’s not the main point.

I packed all my stuff into one bag. They measured it and said it was just a little too big. They said I had to pay $50, but only by credit card, no cash. I just got back from Europe, and all my cards were being declined because my bank didn’t know I was home.
They told me I would miss my flight and had to go back to the ticket counter to pay. I was upset and begging after a long day of traveling. Then a man came over and asked, “How much is it?” When they said $50, he said, “I got it.”
I was shocked and told him not to worry. But he gave his card to the lady, and the airline workers were quiet, surprised by how kind he was. They charged the card, and he told me to have a great flight.
I was crying as I wrote this and got on the plane. This man was like an angel. I tried to pay him back when I saw him in first class, but he shook his head and told me to help someone else someday.
My heart feels so full. There are good people in the world.
Be that good person for someone else, because after this, I will for sure be.
Update: It was NFL player Jermaine Gresham.
