Was a Catholic once, now just like the jokes about them:
"Bless me Father, for I have sinned. I have been with a loose girl."
The priest asks, "Is that you, little Joey Pagano?"

"Yes, Father, it is."
"And who was the girl you were with?"
"I can't tell you, Father. I don't want to ruin her reputation."
"Well, Joey, I'm sure to find out her name sooner or later so you may as well tell me now. Was it Tina Minetti?"
"I cannot say."
"Was it Teresa Mazzarelli?"
"I'll never tell."
"Was it Nina Capelli?"
"I'm sorry, but I cannot name her."
"Was it Cathy Piriano?"
"My lips are sealed."
"Was it Rosa DiAngelo, then?"
"Please, Father! I cannot tell you."
The priest sighs in frustration. "You're very tight lipped, and I admire that. But you've sinned and have to atone. You cannot be an altar boy now for 4 months. Now you go and behave yourself."
Joey walks back to his pew, and his friend Franco slides over and whispers, "What'd you get?"
"Four months vacation and five good leads..."
You can be naked in your own home. In the USA a woman went out of her way to peep in through her neighbour's kitchen window at 3 am and saw the man of the house leave his bedroom to get a drink of water. He slept naked. She phone the police and he was charged for being naked IN HIS OWN HOME. In the UK the woman, if charged, would be prosecuted for voyeurism. The man wouldn't.
( IN tis case he was prosecuted but
You can cross the road any time it is safe to do so. In the US you'll be charged with jaywalking.
Nobody goes bankrupt in the UK due to having cancer. Americans frequently do so.
18 year olds can be served alcohol in the pub in the UK. You have to be 21 in the US.
You do not have to pledge allegiance to anything in the UK. In the USA it is expected, especially in school.

A farmer near Rydal Water in the Lake District took matters into his own hands over the bank holiday weekend after at least 20 vehicles, including Mercedes, Jaguars and BMWs, ignored clear signs and moved rocks placed to block access before parking illegally in his field.
The farmer responded by driving his slurry tanker along the row of cars and coating every one of them in thick liquid manure, with footage of the aftermath showing vehicles drenched in muck as furious owners assessed the damage.
Cumbria Police confirmed they were called to the scene and are investigating, though public sympathy has been firmly with the farmer, with one witness who recorded the incident saying he could not blame him at all given that the drivers had gone out of their way to ignore both the signs and the physical barriers placed to keep them out.
HOW CAN ANYONE JUST ABANDON A PET ?

Every morning after sunrise, a dog named Capper would come to my house, sit on the porch, and look inside through the glass door.
He would come daily, regardless of the weather, whether it was rain or cold.
One day, I asked someone from the house next door, and they told me his name was Capper.
His family had moved away a few weeks earlier, leaving him behind.
Since then, he would wait for them.
Sometimes he would sit near the old house, other times by the wall, or even lie under a car, hoping that his family would come back for him.
That day, when I opened the door, he came in quietly, without barking or jumping, and rested his head beside my legs.
It seemed like he was very tired and sad from waiting.
I bathed him, gave him a new collar, and brought him into the house to stay.
Initially, he would follow me around, checking each room to make sure I hadn’t left him behind.

I still remember that flight like it happened yesterday.
Our Beloved Son John was only three months old and finally asleep in my arms.
My husband Martin followed the flight attendant and I thought maybe there was a problem with our seats. When he came back his eyes were full of tears.
The flight attendant had recognized the small silver bracelet on his wrist.
She said she had worked the flight 18 years earlier When a scared little boy lost his parents during an emergency landing. That boy was Martin. She never forgot his face.
Before we landed She sweetly hugged him and said > "Today I got to see the little boy I prayed would have a happy life."
Some moments stay with your Heart Forever.
You make, and take, from the news that which you wish to see and hear. You observe what you want and comment of things that affect you personally. If you don't like something, do not read it and move on but do not shy away from what IS going on in the world of which - you are a part. World news is so easy to find these days and differing opinions not hard to find. Having an opinion is vital and being a ' don't care' person helps no one. So open your mind - open your heart - open your awareness and ALWAYS be open to new ideas.
