The meaning of the word FAGGOT -
And where did the word GAY come from for homosexuals. Read below:-

Why do many films declare that no animals were harmed in the making of the film?
It all started with this scene from the 1939 western by Tyrone Power, Jesse James.
For years, in the early decades of Hollywood, animals were not treated well. Most Westerns and other epic films used trip wires to simulate horses falling in battle, killing and mutilating many horses.
But on the set of Jesse James in 1939, things went too far: a horse was thrown off a 70-meter cliff, forced by a sliding mechanism.

The horse was not killed in the initial fall. However, it was so disturbed by the fall that it became uncontrollably agitated and ended up drowning.
Quando l'incidente è stato reso pubblico, la gente si è indignata.
In 1940, the Motion Picture Association of America began allowing the American Humane Association to oversee the treatment of animals in all MPAA-approved films.
For every film approved by the MPAA, strict guidelines are followed, and the final eligibility for the disclaimer "No animals were harmed" is decided once the principal photography and production are completed. The AHA reviews a film and the various animal shots that were supervised on set to ensure that the production did not shoot any other scenes without AHA supervision.

The church in olden times burned alive any living healer, soth, seer, holy person, mid wife, witch doctor - call it what you will, as the church could not shut them up speaking the old ways, the old truths, and not the new edited biblical (un) truths. So they were called witches and burned. Many were women, while many were gay men as we share womens empathetic ability, and they were bound together and put with the bound kindeling wood at the base of the fire and anything that is bound together is called a faggot.
FAG - a cigarrette BOUND within the paper.
FAGGOT MEAT DISH the ingredience are bound together with an egg.
THE MEANING OF THE WORD GAY

In olden times a women needed a man for financial support or she could end up in the work house. No man - no support.
Men, however, did NOT need a wife / women and were happy to spread their seed anywhere and have a ' gay old time' ( As sung by the Flintstones...) and the expression BACHELOR GAY ' meant simpy that he was HAPPY TO BE SINGLE, unnattached... not homosexual, but over the years it became attached to single men as being gay... homosexual.
Some believe the Stonewall riots, the gays shouted back at the police that ' WE ARE JUST AS GOOD AS YOU - WE ARE G-A-Y - Good As You' - but there is nothing written in the history of Stonewall to support this at all.
POSH
PORT OUT - STARBOARD HOME.

When travelling to India in Victorian times, if you were rich you would book a cabin on the port side of the ship going TO India and the starboard side on the return journey and then your cabin was in the shade. Remember, no air conditioning in those days. Now - NOTHING IS WRITTEN DOWN TO VERIFY THIS FACT - and it has always been assumed it was used between the porters taking your luggage aboard and was just between them and not official business, and probably depended on the size of the tip offered.

Why do we throw salt over our left shoulder ?
Throwing salt over the left shoulder is a superstition used to ward off bad luck or evil spirits, specifically designed to blind the devil, who is believed to lurk behind that shoulder waiting to cause misfortune. Spilling salt historically signified bad luck or betrayal, and throwing it counters this threat.
Common Examples of Superstitions:
Bad Luck: Walking under a ladder, breaking a mirror, or opening an umbrella indoors.
Good Luck: Finding a penny, picking up a white heather, or touching wood.
Numbers: Avoiding the number 13, especially on Friday the 13th.
Rituals: Crossing fingers to invoke protection or luck.

Why People Believe in Them:
Superstitions are not always about being "rational." They often serve as psychological tools to handle uncertainty. They can reduce anxiety and increase confidence, similar to a placebo effect, making individuals feel more confident and in control. PLUS: Many ' Old Wives Tales' and old remidies long debunked as rubbish have since been proven to have been accurate and good advise.
Common Misconceptions:
They are not all "religious." While some stem from religious stories (like the 13 at the Last Supper, Friday 13th etc ), many are purely cultural - BUT - if you look back far enough most are related to church doctrines of denial and damnation.
They are not just for children. Even educated adults may hold "private" superstitions, such as wearing a certain shirt for a sports game or ritualistic actions before a big meeting, crossing your fingers for luck or behind your back if you tell a lie. We say ' Good Morning Mr. Magpie ' to a bird in case of bad luck or howabout what a bride will wear for luck - 'Something old, Something new, Something borrowed and Something blue ... ?

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. IT IS STUPID AND DANGEROUS
A 31-year-old man from India was taken to Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi because of strong belly pain. He had put a live eel, about 66 cm long, into his rectum, looking for more intense feelings. The eel moved into his large intestine and started biting the wall.
Doctors first tried to remove the eel using a tool through the anus, but they found a second problem: a lemon was also stuck inside. Because of these issues, the doctors had to do urgent surgery to stop the intestine from breaking badly.
During the surgery, the eel was taken out alive through a cut in the belly. Later, the lemon was carefully removed through the anus without damage. The surgeons fixed the hole in the colon and cleaned the infected area inside the belly.
After surgery, the man was given a stoma bag, which he was told would stay with him permanently. Doctors said that without fast surgery, the man probably would have died.

Old West sheriff Pat Garrett had a long career in law enforcement and politics, but the event that ultimately defined his legacy was his showdown with Billy the Kid.

Not only did Garrett fire the shot that killed the Kid in 1881, but he later wrote the notorious outlaw's biography, recounting the story of how he tracked the Kid down at a ranch in New Mexico and ambushed him in a darkened room. In the aftermath of the Kid's death, one local newspaper dubbed Garrett the "hero of the hour," while others criticized Garrett for killing the outlaw in the dark since the Kid couldn't see who was firing at him. The event apparently hung over Garrett for the rest of his life, and he even expressed regret over the killing, saying, "I sometimes wish that I had missed fire, and that the Kid had got his work in on me." Indeed, in the years that followed, Garrett seemed to be plagued with bad luck, facing a series of career failures and financial difficulties until the lawman was murdered in 1908.---------------

Today, as I was heading home for a quick bite to eat, I noticed an elderly man standing by the road with his walker, thumb out, trying to hitch a ride. Something about the scene made me pause, so I made a U-turn and went back to see if he needed help. When I asked if he was okay, he told me he was trying to get to the dollar store about 1.5 miles away.
I immediately thought he might be in need of some food, so I offered him a ride. As we drove, I asked him a few questions:
"How old are you?" "93," he replied. "What's your name?" "Mike."
"Are you married?"
"Yes, my wife is 94. Her name is Doris."
"Does she know you're out?"
"Nope, she probably hasn’t even started looking for me yet."
Curious, I asked, "Why are we going to the store?"
He smiled and said, "My wife and I like to share a Hershey chocolate bar every night, and we're out, so I need to buy 30 Hershey Bars."
Before dropping him off, I gave him my card and told him, "Next time you need some chocolate, no need to hitch a ride. Just give me a call. I look forward to meeting Doris.

You make, and take, from the news that which you wish to see and hear. You observe what you want and comment of things that affect you personally. If you don't like something, do not read it and move on but do not shy away from what IS going on in the world of which - you are a part. World news is so easy to find these days and differing opinions not hard to find. Having an opinion is vital and being a ' don't care' person helps no one. So open your mind - open your heart - open your awareness and ALWAYS be open to new ideas.
