Reindeer become stressed at Christmas, the RSPCA has claimed. The charity said the animals were being “exploited”, suffering from trembling, weight loss and psychological distress at meet-and-greet stalls. Their physical and mental illnesses are said to happen while they live in captivity and are forced to regularly travel long distances.

It began with a frantic medical emergency in the Philippines. In the space of just eight days, Meghan, 44, has been pulled back into the soap opera of her estrangement from her father. Thomas Markle, 81, underwent an emergency leg amputation last week in the Phillippines. Her dad said he wishes to meet his grandchildren, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, as well as Meghan's husband, Prince Harry.

For the record, the 45th and 47th president has never issued a holiday message aimed at unity or even remotely befitting of the season. The man is utterly incapable of speaking kind words, performing selfless acts, or composing a tweet that doesn’t read like it was written by a fifth grader.
