You make, and take, from the news that which you wish to see and hear. You observe what you want and comment of things that affect you personally. If you don't like something, do not read it and move on but do not shy away from what IS going on in the world of which - you are a part. World news is so easy to find these days and differing opinions not hard to find. Having an opinion is vital and being a ' don't care' person helps no one. So open your mind - open your heart - open your awareness and ALWAYS be open to new ideas.

Why are MPs calling on the House of Commons speaker to refuse the US president the honor of a speech during his state visit?

Because they still remember his first state visit to the UK, in 2019.

The visit didn’t begin well. After being invited to join the Queen to inspect a line of troops at Windsor Castle, he walked ahead of and around her. He literally turned his back on her and kept on walking, as the pictures show. Not only was this a gross violation of royal protocol; it was just plain bad manners. Trump seemed oblivious to this and apparently didn’t care about showing his host the proper respect.

He brought several uninvited guests to the state banquet held at Buckingham Palace, which was another serious breach of diplomacy. He also embarrassed himself by wearing ill-fitting white tie and tails that made him look like one of the waiters. Princess Anne did her best to avoid him at a cocktail party later on until the Queen motioned for her to come over.

American presidents are always invited for a state visit to Britain early in their first term, but Trump apparently thought it was for him personally. Her Majesty was a shrewd judge of character and I’m sure she wouldn’t have invited him if it had been up to her.

The Queen skillfully navigated through some awkward situations with foreign dignitaries during her 70 years on the throne, and this was an example of her exercising great restraint. HM is supposed to be above politics and rarely offered an opinion of her own, so we can only imagine what she must’ve been thinking.

Who could blame her if she sent for James Bond?

So you know, in the annual review of the freest countries in the world, Canada is 5th and Australia is 17th. The US last year was 35th and, in the most recent review, since the new president has taken over, it is 60th.

AMERICA IS 60th on the planet as far as being a free country is involved.

Your view of freedom is warped. You think it is a freedom to be able to carry a gun, or kill someone just for knocking at your door. However, that takes away my freedom to go to a concert or go to school for fear of being shot.

Forcing people to wear masks made it possible for me to go to a restaurant by minimizing the possibility of contracting Covid, which could kill me. You have more freedom by masking up than by not wearing one. You always think laws and rules take away your freedom when it is those laws and rules that give you more freedom.

Kids in the USA have to do emergency drills in schools because of your ‘freedom’ to carry an assault rifle. So you can carry a gun, the rest of us have to walk around in fear of some nut job lining up a series of rifles and start picking us off like fish in a fish bowl.

How is that freedom? That, along with many other freedoms, is why the Canada is 12 times freer than the US, and Australia is 4 times freer. You might want to work on that.

America is not a free country any longer and with the world seeing this, tourism is down 66% - trade is down and multi nationals going bust, millions of Americans are suffering and all this is in ' The land of the Free' - and where the President promises to ' Make America Great Again.'

It should read ' Make Trump Wealthy Again.'

What a pathetic fucking joke.

There are 41,702 ZIP codes in the USA for 335 million people. That’s 8,000 people for each ZIP code.

There are 1.7 million postcodes in the UK for 68 million people. That’s 40 people for each postcode.

And you ask why British people use "post code" instead of "zip code"? Because it’s a better system.
