Casa Pantha is changing direction.

Dear Beautiful Souls,

A slightly longer newsletter than usual to inform you that some adjustments needed to be made in order to keep Casa Pantha alive, which bring some changes in the activities planned for this year 2026.

At the beginning, the project behind Casa Pantha was to create a sanctuary where people can come, relax, and take the time to heal, with the support I can provide.

Of course, starting from ground zero in a new country was a challenge... So, beside yoga and holistic therapies, Casa Pantha offered yoga classes and retreats, therapeutic Ayurveda massage, Ayurveda workshops, spiritual tantra workshops. Long story short, if before “covid” the situation was good, after the pandemic, it was the opposite. I will not bore you with how I invested that time – which was very fruitful – but if you are interested, let's have a chat.

So, let's jump to today: after the economical difficulties of the past 2 years to support the house and sustain myself, and the increase of demands towards the holistic therapy, the decision was made to reopen Casa Pantha as a guest house, and focus on individual and couple holistic therapy, spiritual studies and awareness, this aspect of my “job” I'm really passionate about.

Unfortunately, this means that there will be no retreats this year, and very few workshops. I will miss it, for all the vibes and energy they bring, the deep connections they create, the joy they spread around. But the bills have to be paid, and the guest house will provide the necessary resources to focus on what I dreamed about when I arrived here: helping people the best way I can, holistically, by giving back the results of these years of studies, practices, and experiences, all these ups-and-downs, “the bad, the ugly and the” beautiful, everything that kept my curiosity alive while allowing me to be myself, even in the strangest times.

This freedom will also give me to opportunity to improve and refine some projects I started seriously to work on about 4 years ago, mainly regarding appropriate diet (with the support of the Ayurveda knowledge and the new scientific “discoveries”), spiritual awakening based on non duality and universality, sustainability in action (as a lifestyle), among others; some of this work will be posted on my blog

JB RESPONDS:

I have never been to this venue and I have never spoken with David who owns and runs it, but I have been aware and helped promote through this Newsletter, his venue and his events as I love what he was offering.

It is sad to see - for whatever reason given - that he is changing it and stopping the workshops and special events in lieu for just personal therapy sessions and more as a guest house.

There are so few people offering these special spiritual events throughout Europe and when one closes, as always, it is a shame. Hamilton Hall has also experienced a dramatic decline in people attenting our special events and we have changed course in what we offer and - to pay the bills - have adapted - and continue to try and adapt, to what people want since Covid changed things.

Same in the gay world where so many gay bars, hotels and restaurants are closing or going ' main stream' and once again, our ' community ' looses another safe haven.

This is happening for several reasons, not that Casa Pantha has cited this, but is common.

Many venues get - quite simply - sick of dealing with gay people. They can be the most fun, the most accepting and the greatest of all guests BUT there is also another side to how a few treat us and that is quite simply - appalling - and at the end of the year it is always the assholes you remember and after years of abuse, it just becomes too much and many close and revert to a ' normal' venue and no longer specialise in the LGBT community.

It seems, many within the so called ' gay community' like to eat their own, destroying anything good and decent and largely out of resentment / envy - jealous that it is not their venue and it is not them hosting.

The funny thing is, WE KNOW...

I use to get tons of abuse when I first opened Hamiton Hall and it continued for at least the first 15 years and only with time have many appreciated I am not here as a fly-by-night but here for the long term, and I - and Hamiton Hall - have earned our respect and the abuse is less and besides, those who threw abuse at us all those years ago, where are they now - ??? Where as - I AM STILL HERE and this March 30th it will be 26 years Hamilton Hall has been under my guidance and 26 years welcoming men to the only such venue in all of Europe.

I nd my very best wishes to

Covid changed things dramatically as well - and some venues closed after being paid lots of money by the government - never to re open - while others found customers spending habits dramatically changed after Covid, as well as the attitude ofered to others - simply - it sucked - and many venues chose this time and Covid as an excuse to quit the business and go ' main stream.'

You only miss something once it has gone and often it closes because of a lack of custom for which, everyone is responsible. No use complaining a certain local bar has closed when you never spent any money in the place.

I send my very best wishes to David and Casa Pantha and wish them all the very best for the future.

You make, and take, from the news that which you wish to see and hear. You observe what you want and comment of things that affect you personally. If you don't like something, do not read it and move on but do not shy away from what IS going on in the world of which - you are a part. World news is so easy to find these days and differing opinions not hard to find. Having an opinion is vital and being a ' don't care' person helps no one. So open your mind - open your heart - open your awareness and ALWAYS be open to new ideas.
