CF:- I helped a friend many moons ago who was dying slowly and painfully and wanted to end his life and this book helped. It was banned for a long time and I found it easily for sale 'on line' and would suggest it as a good read for anyone who is ill, in pain, and where there is no hope of a recovery. If depressed - GET THERAPY - If life has no meaning - FIND MEANING, THERES A HUGE WORLD OUT THERE, but if you are terminally ill, in pain and there is no way back to good health - ie: My Mother at 89 with dementia and a UTI and Widows Hump WOULD NOT HAVE WANTED TO END UP THIS WAY, and would have told me not to allow this to happen to her, and there are times in ones life where we take our cat or dog to be put down as not doing so is cruel,- But a relative, OH DEAR GOD - they keep them alive LONG after it is kind and thoughtful and now becomes selfish and cruel of those who survive but refuse to allow a termination.
My Gen X friends are all divorcing their husbands because they refuse to grow up
Now I don’t want to dump on Gen X men, because there’s enough of that already, but having observed female friends who’ve recently divorced, there are certainly common triggers. A big one? Men that refuse to change while their wives are constantly looking for ways to grow.

JB:- Try watching some of the hundreds of Youtube videos from women who divorced their husbands thinking their life would change for the better and after hubby stops paying the mortgage and the utilties and she has to cover all that herself - and when after dates let her down and she realizes that the dating scene is fraught with problems, then they regret leaving their safe and comfy hubby to end up all alone. Women assume the world is their oyster when it damned well is not. No wonder so many straight men are having sex either with hookers - easy and you get what you pay for - or with other men, as there's no monthly mood swing and certainly no pregnancy, no hassle and no expections, just sex.
AND BETTER SEX THAN ANY WOMEN OFFERS.
So many women with their attitude problems, their out of control ego, their agressive nature towards men and the fact they expect men to pay for everything while they SCREAM - and DEMAND equality and ' what's yours is mine and what's mine is my own' attitude, many men are walking away from bitches who act like this and sadly, there are too many out there like that.

A primary school that forces girls as young as seven to wear hijabs has been accused of “breaking the law”.
Laura Trott, the shadow education secretary, said the requirement was “outrageous” after The Telegraph revealed that Barnet Hill Academy, a newly state-funded Islamic faith school in north London, required female pupils to wear hijabs from Year 3. The school and Barnet council have been reported to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) over concerns that the policy could violate human rights and discriminate against girls and non-Muslims.

Charles Chaplin was now rich
enough to provide his mother with everything she had lacked for most of her life. But Hannah Chaplin had spent years marked by poverty and serious mental health problems.
In 1921, Charlie and his brother Sydney managed to have her moved from Britain to California. Hannah was placed in South Hollywood, where a couple cared for her. There was no need to worry about the next day anymore.
On one outing, Hannah purchased hundreds of yards of colored silk, spending thousands of dollars. Charlie initially considered returning it all. Then he changed his mind. He knew his mother had spent much of her life longing for things she could never afford. So he decided to leave her what he had bought. Because before becoming one of the most famous men in cinema, Charlie Chaplin had been a very poor child.
Born in London in 1889, she grew up in a fragile family. Her father, marked by alcoholism, left her life early. Hannah tried to support her children by working as a seamstress, while her health deteriorated.
Charles and his brother also experienced the workhouse. At five years old, Chaplin had already appeared on stage. Work, for him, came long before fame. Then fate changed direction.
In 1913, he arrived in the United States and soon after entered the world of cinema. During one production, he put together a costume that would become immortal: baggy trousers, a tight jacket, oversized shoes, a bowler hat, a cane, and a small mustache. Charlot was born. The world saw a vagabond who could make people laugh without uttering a word. Chaplin, on the other hand, knew perfectly well the universe from which that character came.
Hunger. The road.. Loneliness.
The gap between those who own everything and those who have to find a way to survive every day. For this reason his comedy did not remain just comedy.
Behind the falls and the gags, poverty, exploitation, injustice, and dignity continually surfaced. Chaplin transformed painful experiences into something that could be understood by viewers of different cultures and languages.
In 1940 he also used cinema to directly confront totalitarianism with The Great Dictator.
Then he himself learned the price of political tensions.
In September 1952, he left the United States for Europe. While he was already en route, American authorities revoked his re-entry permit. Chaplin decided not to return and settled with his family in Switzerland.
He returned there only twenty years later.
In 1972, he was awarded an honorary Oscar in Hollywood. The audience rose to its feet for a standing ovation that lasted about twelve minutes.
The child who had experienced the poorhouse had become one of the fundamental figures in the history of cinema.
Chaplin died in his sleep on Christmas Day 1977, aged 88.
His success had allowed him to provide his mother with the financial security that had been lacking during Charlie's childhood. But those experiences remained deeply tied to his personal history and his art.
And perhaps this is also why Charlot continues to speak to audiences after more than a century: beneath the bowler hat and behind the laughter was someone who had truly known poverty and had transformed those experiences into cinematic art.
