The Navy Warship Built For Speed

Is Now Tearing Itself Apart

ree

The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) was designed to be the fastest ship in the U.S. Navy fleet, capable of hitting incredible speeds to chase down threats like fast attack craft or drug smugglers. However, this focus on speed led to a major design compromise: the hull had to be incredibly lightweight. Now, instead of intercepting criminals, the ships themselves are suffering crippling, rapid structural fatigue, often requiring millions of dollars in emergency repairs. The truth is, the ships aren't just poorly built; they are fundamentally being damaged by the very missions they were designed to perform. The intense hydrodynamic forces created by operating at those lightning-fast speeds, combined with the lightweight materials, are subjecting the structure to far greater stress than anticipated, leading to massive hull cracks. The warship's biggest vulnerability isn't a missile, but its own design—the real reason the ship is cracking is #NotWhatYouThink.

A bid to host the 2028 Summer Olympics was submitted by the city of Los Angeles, with the support of the government of the State of California, and subsequently accepted by the International Olympic Committee. The bid contained many elements which were specific to LA, such as particular stadiums and transport infrastructure, and can't just be transferred at will to another random city.

The US federal government had no involvement, and there is nothing Trump can do to unilaterally change the selection. He could make conditions such that it's untenable to host the Games in LA, for example by denying visas to athletes. If that is so, the IOC would be forced to pick an alternative host city, and it would certainly not choose an American one if the reason it had to do so was American government hostility.

Whether an alternative host city in another country could be ready in time is another question. There is a possibility the Games would have to be cancelled or delayed in that case and all because of one orange man throwing a tantrum against California.

MORE RAMBLINGS FROM A CRAZY MIND -

ALL THIS IS TOTAL DELUSIONAL CLAP TRAP

“People that are against Tariffs are FOOLS!” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “We are now the Richest, Most Respected Country In the World, With Almost No Inflation, and A Record Stock Market Price. 401k’s are Highest EVER. We are taking in Trillions of Dollars and will soon begin paying down our ENORMOUS DEBT, $37 Trillion. Record Investment in the USA, plants and factories going up all over the place. A dividend of at least $2000 a person (not including high income people!) will be paid to everyone.”

Three college boys, home for the holidays, shot a neighbor's dog with a BB gun for fun.

They shot it more than 40 times. But their punishment was only a fine and a little community service.

The dog's owner couldn't stand it. Enraged, he arrived at their house and said,

"It's easy to hit a dog, now fight a human being of your own size."

The boys didn't know that the man was a black belt in jujutsu. In no time, he had thoroughly defeated all three of them. By the time the police arrived, all three were bloodied and bruised. The man was handcuffed and led away, but with a slight smile on his face. ( Damned good for him...)

Now, the man will serve 30 days in jail. His dog is slowly recovering at his mother's house.

When asked why he did this, he simply said,

"Children should understand that every action has consequences."

Lady in the van.

( This e mail from a guest at HH is concerning my thoughts about a homeless man using my capervan out side the hotel in cold weather...)

Dear John. To have a homeless man who lives in your van would not degrade Hamilton Hall in the least.

Alan Bennett was not degraded in real life. There are other issues like fire risk to the man and other nasty types who might attack him there It would be a grand thing.

I live on a Quay fronting to a River. Very close to my home is a Quayside public Shelter that is regularly used by a 30ish woman who arrives dressed in hiking gear with a rucksack and settles there for 2 or 3 nights a month. She has a sleeping bag and is happy with her life. We have a very large house for two of us and I have offered to take her in on cold miserable nights. A very polite no is the answer. She accepts mugs of hot sweet tea, but never food or extra blankets. Being male, and my husband is a big intimidating looking man I have at first restricted my approaches and ensured my sister or other female is there as well. No she says, she likes her life travelling around her different "perches". Her word not mine. I wish you well with your homeless man and if he lived in your van it would in no way deter me from coming to Hamilton Hall.

Woman faces deportation after harassing Madeleine McCann’s parents

A Polish woman who claimed to be Madeleine McCann faces deportation after being convicted of harassing the missing girl’s parents by turning up at their home and repeatedly begging for a DNA test. Julia Wandelt, 24, put her hands to her face and gasped when jurors returned a guilty verdict for the harassment of Kate and Gerry McCann on Friday, but a not guilty verdict for a charge of stalking.

What really happened when Meghan Markle joined the Royal Family

Inside what really happened when Meghan Markle joined the Royal Family. Staff reveal there was 'awkwardness and hilarity' when she instantly took charge of meetings and 'acted as though she knew better than the 1,000-year-old institution'.

The first complaint came at 2:15 PM.“Mr. Francesco has been in the break room for thirty minutes,” my assistant said. “Breaks are fifteen.”I brushed it off. “He’s probably tired. I’ll check on him.” When I went to see him, I found Mr. Francesco sitting alone, his weathered hands covering his face.

He quickly stood up and said, “I’m fine… just had a small anxiety attack. Trying to catch my breath.”I told him to take all the time he needed.

But ten minutes later, another complaint came in“Francesco hasn’t taken out the trash, and there’s no toilet paper in the restroom. How long is this break going to last?” That’s when I’d had enough. I called everyone into my office.

“Mr. Francesco has worked here for 26 years,” I said. “He’s a widower who lost his son last year. He crossed a jungle and a river to reach this country. He fought in the military. He donated a kidney to save a stranger’s life. He’s survived three surgeries. He’s 58 years old.”

The room went silent.“This man has given more to this place—and to this world—than most of us ever will. So if you see him sitting down, catching his breath… let him. If the trash is full or the toilet paper runs out, I’ll handle it. But let that man rest.”

From that day on, no one ever complained about Mr. Francesco again. Sometimes he still sits a little longer. Sometimes he pauses mid-hallway, lost in thought. And honestly? After everything he’s endured, the least we can do is give him peace. 💔When someone asked why I defended him so strongly, I said: -

“Because kindness costs nothing but its absence costs everything.” 💫

I can’t rent a house if I have him with me.

He’s not allowed on buses or trains in the city.

And yet…When there’s an earthquake, I can count on him to dig through the rubble and save lives.

When someone gets lost in the forest, he’s the one sent to search.

He’ll follow you into the mountains without a map, without hesitation. He’ll dive under the snow when reckless skiers go off trail.

He’ll even swim beside you when the red flag’s flying when the signs say don’t go in.

You welcome him when you need him…But not when it’s inconvenient for you.

After all, “it’s just a dog,” right?

Think again. Dogs are better than most humans kinder, braver, endlessly loyal.

They love without conditions.

They stand by us whether we deserve it or not. Maybe it’s time we start treating them with the same love they give us every single day.

Prince Harry Calls Out His Father: “Just Because You Suffered Doesn’t Mean Your Kids Have To”

Prince Harry says his father raised him with the same coldness and emotional distance the Royal family used on Charles - and he refused to repeat it. In the video, Harry explains that trauma, silence, and “duty before love” were passed down like inheritance, generation after generation. That’s why he told the world, “Just because you suffered doesn’t mean your kids have to suffer.” He says leaving the monarchy wasn’t rebellion — it was protection, because he didn’t want his son to grow up inside the same cycle that broke Diana and shaped Charles. Royal blood was never the problem. Royal parenting was.

I do wish this spoiled brat would stop complaining and grow the fuck up.
