Iraq's LGBT+ community is in crisis as parliament considers a constitutional amendment that could lead to the death penalty for simply being LGBT+. This amendment not only criminalises LGBT+ existence but also targets allies and human rights defenders with extreme penalties, including death.

With the vote imminent, the risk is dire.
