With the government advising people to STOCK UP ENOUGH FOOD FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS - and where we are being told an El Nino will be hitting the country with a blistering cold spell, I wanted to remind you to ;-

CHECK ON YOUR ELDERLY NEIGHBOURS AND FAMILY.

Make sure they are warm enough and have enough of the basics in - Tinned Soups - Milk - Bead - Porrige - Tea / Coffee / Hot Chocolate - and enough blankets to stay warm. And some candles in case the power goes out - as is common in some areas ' up north.'

If we get snow, many elderly people stay indoors in case they slip over and break something - which can be fatal. Maybe suggest getting some food stuff for them, shop for the basics - and take them some flowers, it'll cheer them right up.

Please do not be one of those people who thinks about SELF and FUCK ANYONE ELSE - as the picture above indicates. A little thought - a little kindness and a little putting yourself out for someone else, goes a very long way and at the end of the day, feels good to do something nice - for no reason than just being a decent human being and never forget -

WITH LUCK - YOU WILL BE OLD ONE DAY AND WHO KNOWS - YOU MAY BE IN NEED OF SOME HELP AND LET'S HOPE SOME KIND NEIGHBOUR COMES TO YOUR AID IF AND WHEN YOU ARE IN NEED.

You can go through life concentrating on the doom and gloom - whch will make you a right miserable asshole

You can go through life ignoring the doom and gloom and only concentrating on the light, the joy, the love

--- Or ---

Like most of us, you can value both. Appreciate both. Live your life within and around both, but don't allow yourself to get 'bogged down' in just one as you are either a miseable old fart, or a fakey vacuous fairy - and you need to be both - positive and negative in balance. Now - Keeping the balance is hard in a forever negative world. The balance and the choice
