Che Guevara - You sacrified your life for cowards.

When Ernesto Che Guevara was arrested from his hiding place after a shepherd told the authorities of his whereabouts one officer asked the shepherd -

''Why did you inform us about someone who dedicated his whole life fighting for your rights and freedom?'

The shepherd said Because the fighting and the war with the enemy scares my sheep.

And a few centuries before in Egypt a single soldier by the name of Mohammed Karim led the resistance against the French occupation led by general napoleon Bonaparte,

And when karim was arrested napoleon sentenced him to death,

But napoleon summoned him and said to him,

I am very sorry to see a man as brave as you to die for his country,

I don’t want history to remember me as a killer of brave men who defended their countries,

And that is why I’ll pardon you but you have to give me 10 thousand gold coins in return as compensation for the soldiers I lost,

Mohammed karim smiled and said,

'I don’t have enough but the merchants of my town owe me more than 100 thousand gold coins.'

So napoleon allowed karim a short period to pay and he was taken away in chains and surrounded by French soldiers full of hope that those he sacrificed for would not let him down but none of them paid him his money instead they all accused him of ruining the country and the economy in Alexandria,

Mohammed Karim came back to Napoleon heartbroken,

Napoleon said to Karim,

'I will not execute you because you fought us but I will execute you because you sacrificed your life for cowards who are too busy making money and forgot about their duties towards their country.'

And the historian Mohammed Rashid Reda says,

'A rebel for an ignorant society is like someone who sets himself on fire to brighten the way for the blind…!'
