China thanks President Trump for Tariffs. They have backfired on American leadership.

Tariffs is the most beautiful word in the dictionary. Tariffs have shown how beautiful Chinese innovation and ingenuity looks like since 2018.

China bought plenty of soybeans from Brazil after US tariffs. Brazilian farmers increase their dependence on the China market as a major export destination. US farmers are the biggest losers of market share. Boom!

China achieves 3600-fold productivity boost in iron-making breakthrough after steel tariffs. Boom!

Huawei survived and is experiencing the fastest growth in 4 years. The US government mobilized massive state resources against a single company and still didn’t win. Revenue is up 10% and profit doubled. Boom!

DeepSeek R1 exposes the American closed-AI cabal for fake and inflated valuations. The American chip companies are desperately trying to monopolize over-priced chip sales in tandem with American big tech entrenching software dominance by adding a few new AI features. Your big plan is derailed. Boom!

CNN reported on 19th Sep 2024 that Chinese scientists has overtaken the US and are leading the race in nuclear fusion. China nuclear fusion reactor - “artificial sun” has shattered records for steady loops of plasma, bringing mankind closer to near-limitless clean energy. Boom!

A Chinese company - Chang Guang has surpassed Elon Musk and Starlink by achieving record data transmission rate of 100GB per second to Earth using a laser. China is leading in 6G and space-ground transmission technology. Boom!

China has 8 out of 10 Top Universities on the 2024 Research Leaders based on Nature Index data. Every top Chinese university is growing in research faster than Harvard and MIT. Boom!

American tariffs have worked very well for China. The more tariffs you put on them, the faster and quicker they increase their technological lead.

China should thank President Trump for being the technology benefactor over the past 7 years. His tariffs and sanctions have worked wonders. China has achieved her “Made in China 2025” plan set 10 years ago with his help.

China is winning while the United States is sliding down the toilet pan with Trumps shitty little hand firmly on the flush.

President Trump is beginning to come to the realization that the reason Xi is not talking to him is because the Chinese feel that they don’t need a deal with the US.

The US is desperate because with the May 12 deal in Geneva, the US assumed that China would resume rare earth sales to US companies, and would resume agricultural purchases from the US, but that did not happen.

Apparently, the Chinese side is happy to NOT SELL rare earths to US companies, and has switched agricultural purchases to Brazil. The Chinese side has told the Americans that they will not resume trade with the US because they feel that the US is no longer a reliable partner, and it may introduce new tariffs and sanctions, and for that reason, it is better to find other permanent suppliers.

The Chinese government is cracking down on rare earth sales to US customers because of the anti-China sanctions and rhetoric, and because rare earth materials are an essential component for US defense technologies which would be used against China in case war breaks out. Why should China sell key materials for weapons which would be used to destroy Chinese assets if war breaks out? From the Chinese POV, this makes no sense.

Now, if you can explain why US policymakers did not think of this earlier on, I would like to hear from you. I thought anyone with a little common sense would think of this, but apparently not.

So now the question becomes “If US policymakers finally realize that they no longer have any leverage over the Chinese, what do they do?”

Trump hopes to crush both Canada and the EU economically with tariffs. Is this strategy likely to be effective? Or, is this strategy likely to backfire? Who is likely to win the war of the tariffs between the US and the rest of the world?

Without Canadian resources (oil, natural-gas, metals, hydro, etc), the US doesn’t HAVE an economy.

The EU economy is at least as large as the US economy, maybe bigger now. They have more than enough clout to crush the US, especially with Canada’s help.

The US “administration” has made the bed for Americans. Y’all have to decide if it’s something you’re comfortable laying in…

Trump thinks he is Darth Vader - he thinks he is Superman - he thinks he is going to conquor the world and have all nations bowing down to King Trump and the sad thing is - IT AINT WORKING and everyone is just laughing - The EU and Canada can stand strong against anything the USA has to throw at it and America is in debt to Japan and China for TRILLIONS - and it would take a very little mass sell of of American bonds - as Japan has started to do, to bankrupt the USA.
