Yes, it is extremely dangerous as a Donald Trump fan.
Fox News has told you that (continent) of Europe is a backward socialist hell-hole overrun by muslim extremist and that most cities are “no go” zones where the police dare not tread. You will be afraid to step outside because European laws do not allow you to “open carry” your AR15 in the cafes and restaraunts (the horror!).
Also, American law does not count in other countries so don't waste your time thinking the Constitution protects you abroad or that because you are American buys you some kind of special privilidge, because it does not - not in the slightest.
You know that the United States of America is the greatest place that ever was on the planet and that Americans are admired and respected for their wealth and superior culture.
Now here comes the dangerous part. You will mostly find well run clean cities with excellent public transportation. You will see very few, homeless people and very little crime. You will feel safer in European cities than in US towns. ( no guns )
You will find that although people are knowledgeable about the United States (sometimes more knowledgeable than you - well actually, USUALLY MUCH MORE educated than you on the USA, ), you will not get preferential treatment. If you happen to get sick or injured, you will not be left on the streets to die as Fox told you, but you will get immediate and good medical service. No, it will not be “free” because your insurance is not valid here and as we know medical care is not free, however you will most likely be charged less than your co-pays and certainly less than your deductable.
Where are the “people dying on the streets” from rationed socialist healthcare? Where is the poverty from socialist mismanagement? Why are people not in awe of the greatness of the United States? ( Where do I start ??? )
This is the danger. It is called “cognitive dissonance”, when you realize that what you thought was true, what you were told was true, what you repeatedly had driven into your head, does not match the reality. You see with your own eyes. Things that you were told were impossible are taken for granted in Europe. You will be forced to challenge your deepest held beliefs and realize that the USA is NOT paved with gold, is NOT the Land of Opportunity you were told and is NOT the greatest country on the planet, by a very long way.
The danger to a Trump fan travelling to Europe is that they may never return - as a Trump fan.

Hi John: - My brother is a huge Trump fan. He has signs out on his front lawn supporting Trump, wears his stupid MAGA red hat and he recently visited family in Italy and had a very sore reception.
It seems the Italians hate Trump as much as anyone else hates Trump and turning up with the stupid red hat on caused a stir at the airport and he was told, under no uncertain terms by family meeting him at the airport, that he will be left at the airport and the family will disown him if he wears that hat out of the airport, and after some arguing, he was abandoned at the airport as family walked away and left him, his wife and 2 kids - at the airport. They simply were not about to allow a Trump screaming supporter in their home or even in their vicinity without them calling them out on so much destruction and murder being hosted by MAGA and how the whole world sees Trump as no better than Hitler.
So the family walked away and bro called me all the way from Italy to tell me and - sorry - I did laugh and say 'What the fuck bro - what the fuck were you thinking ? The whole world hates Trump. He is bankrupting the USA and stealing / pocketing multi millions for himself - and still you worship this asshole...'Bro, the whole world is laughing at us, no one wants to visit the USA and tourism is down by up to 70% - corporate power is looking to China and the EU and not America and America is going bust and YOU STILL DON'T GET IT BRO . You still harbour under the illusion that the whole world owes us Americans something when they do not, we owe them. Everyone hates Trump.'
He hung up on me as he wasn't getting the sympathy he was looking for and he wasn't going to get my credit card detals so he could find a hotel for the night as he was relying on staying with local family who had just walked away, and he was stuck.
Turns out the holiday was a disaster and cost him a lot more than anticipated and he returned home with his tail between his legs and his wife was mega - not MAGA - but mega pissed at him and is talking now of divorce as she sees the light even though he doesn't.
And all because of that stupid red hat he refused to take off.

Dear John and Hamilton Hall:- :- We vacation every year for at least 6 weeks in the UK as I have family there and in Ireland. This year was awful. The hatred aimed at us just for being American was plain to see and we actually ended up telling folks we were Canadian and not American just to save the lectures we were getting. We did not vote for Trump but we all get dragged down the pan along with his beliefs and it shames us dearly.
