I really find it unbelievable, how Republicans are behaving now. The outrage, the blaming of democrats about the Kirk shooting. I agree fully that it was a terrible thing, I agree that Charlie should not have been assassinated, and I agree whoever shot him has to be apprehended and sent away for life, but this pearl clutching by republicans, as though there was no other political violence, mainly incited by Trump himself is getting to me big time. The flying of flags at half staff, the claiming of Trump that Charlie was his brother, as though a great American Hero had been murdered by Terrorists is so disingenuous as to be nauseating.

Where was this wailing and weeping when a congresswoman and her Husband , democrats, were murdered . It was Melissa Hortman and her husband. Where was the outrage at the shooting of Senator Hoffman and his wife. Where was the blame game when a Republican tried to assassinate Trump but killed an innocent man instead. Where were the shocked comments when Paul Pelosi was beaten half to death.

There are many more such instances. Trumps reactions to those not on his “team” being terrorised or killed seems to be more or less, that its too bad, they probably deserved it.

How many political opponents has Trump now stripped of their security detail, hoping that they may be attacked ? Who constantly threatens retribution towards Governors, mayors and party members who will not bow to him.

Who, in fact, has created a world in which it’s ok to attack people for speaking their mind. It’s only ok to speak your mind if you speak for Trump, otherwise you are a traitor.

What would his reaction have been, I wonder, had Charlie been a Democrat, if his great debates had been left, not right. Would he still have mourned the loss of an intelligent young activist, well liked by his followers, just speaking his mind? Of course not. He would have called Charlie a Terrorist and a traitor.

Even now, does he actually care about Charlie Kirk?

I doubt it.

He just cares about the opportunity for political theatre this has created.

My best hope is that when they catch the miserable coward who assassinated Charlie , that it turns out to be a Trump supporter who was pissed with Charlie for not supporting Trump in a couple of things lately….like Gaza and the Epstein files.

They are calling him a GREAT AMERICAN HERO - I would call him a Great American Loud Mouth.

He was no hero but he was a loud mouthed bully.

I watched many of Charlie Kirk's YouTube videos and admired his mind and his intellect while disagreeing largely with a lot of what he said - not all - as everyone is right and wrong at the same time and every political party has worthy things in their manifesto's - you just choose who has the best or the worst things and go from there. Kirk was VERY pro Trump and for that, I disliked almost everything he said - yet he was also for releasing the Epstein records - but did he deserve to be murderd ? Did he warrant being killed for his views - NO he did not.

He had the potential to be a future President and it seems his views got him assasinated by long range rifle (unless the news has changed since writing this ) and that spells ASSASSINATION and not just by some random person with a gun, but a long range ' hit' by someone who knew what they were doing. A professional. Maybe an X military man who is sick of the way Trump treats the military as ' LOOSERS' if they get wounded or killed in action - or - Maybe;- It's a women who hates these men staking claim on her body and what she can and cannot do with it as far as an abortion is concerned, - or -Maybe its someone who ICE has taken her kids from her and deported and she is desperate to know where they are and not being told - or - Maybe it's a good old American GI Joe Republican sick of how Trump has destroyed the USA and befriended Putin - America's nemesis - or maybe it is anyone from millions who feel Trump and his lackies are destroying the USA beyond repair.

Trump may delude himself that his approval ratings are in the 90's while the rest of us know his approval ratings are currently at 34% - matching the lowest ever President - George W. Bush with 34% - Richard Nixon with 24% and Trump on 34% all who have the lowest ever ratings and all were / are Republican.

All States in the USA that are struggling financially, violently and with mass unemployment and homeless ness - are all Republican, yet Trump sends troops into Democratic states JUST TO STIR UP TROUBLE, when Republican states are a LOT worse off and in need of troops, but as they are Republican, they get left alone.

Anyone being executed in this fashion is appalling and I feel for Charlie Kirk's family and whose wife is now left to raise 2 small children without their father. I did not care for his politics, but mourn the loss of another great mind.
