Keir Starmer says he ‘deeply regrets’ island of strangers speech

Keir Starmer has said he “deeply regrets” a speech in which he described the UK as being in danger of becoming an island of strangers without tough curbs on immigration.

In an interview with the Observer, the prime minister said he should have read the speech more carefully and “held it up to the light a bit more”


Oh dear. Stupid Starmer now claims he hadn't even read the speach before he read it to the nation and how gormless, how stupid, how imbacilic can one get - and he's the PRIME MINISTER.


The trans war between JK Rowling and Boy George

Do you really want to hurt me? When it comes to the increasingly vicious spat between author JK Rowling and Culture Club singer Boy George, the answer to that question seems to be a resounding “yes”. Over the past couple of years the high-profile pair have taken up opposing positions in the transgender war, with Rowling long advocating for women’s rights while Boy George recently became a vocal trans advocate.

This weekend their row escalated dramatically into a social media mud-slinging match. On Saturday, responding on X to Rowling’s post querying “Which rights have been taken away from trans people?”, Boy George fired back: “The right to be left alone by a rich bored bully!”.


Stephen Fry turns back on Harry Potter author JK Rowling, calling her a 'lost cause' over trans views

'We're at war': Onlookers erupt in rage at Trump as he announces bombs dropped

Donald Trump faced furious pushback from observers late on Saturday as the president announced a foreign military strike.

Trump announced the dropping of bombs on Iran on his social media site, Truth Social. He said the U.S. dropped a "full payload of BOMBS... on the primary site, Fordow."

According to the Washington Post, Hanson learned the news through a brief email, a method now common in the Trump administration.

The president’s State Department said the US “reaffirms the sanctity of life” in an attack on the Labour MP’s Terminally Ill Adults Bill.
