My MID LIFE CRISIS was coming up to the age of 60. I felt at odds with myself.

Is this it ? Is this where I was meant to spend the rest of my days ? Or maybe sell up and start again somewhere else - ha ha - NOT. There are some things in life you know you can and want to change, and then there are things you know you cannot / will not change and you enter into a relationship within yourself that accepts and celebrates the decisions made for your future and ONLY YOU can make those decisions and STICK WITH THEM.
Many move abroad with their parner. Some start a whole new business - like open a B&B assuming it will be apart time job or opening a bar in Spain - ( ha ha - to end up having a breakdown at the end of the first season as its damned hard work and end up loosing everything ) and some retire and die of absolute boredome.
I LOVE BEING OLD. NOW 71 - AND GETTING MARRIED IN NOVEMBER.
I have an opinion that is worthy.
I have a voice.
I am also, not afraid to speak up and voice my opinions, unafraid of what others think. I am also able to listen and learn.
I have been around the block and know bullshit crap when I hear it. I have changed my entire life plan 5 times - a complete move and job and lifestyle change and on more than one occasion, from nothing - and I ALWAYS fell on me feet and did well.
More to the point :- Now I am not afraid to speak up and say what needs to be said whereas many are too scared to actually voice an opinion - I am not -
On the LGBT cruise I took a few years ago, a pile of young gay men ( full of attitude ) were in the elevator with me and one asked another how many followers he had on social media, and he answered 20,000 and the other completely turned his back on him and said ' 'Oh if that's all you have then you are not worth my time.'
I had my mouth open SO FUCKING FAST - and leering down at this young fool I barked -'

No one said a word. I stared at the fool and just kept staring as you could feel butt holes being clenched and no one dared breath... there was no air in the elevator. And I just stared at him as he - as everyne - avoided my stare - as I was right - they knew I was right - But these shallow faggots knew no difference.
The elevator eventually arrived at its destination and they couldn't wait to get away from me and my stare and - I loved every moment. Decades ago I woudn't have dared say a word and now with my old age - FUCK 'EM IF THEY CAN'T TAKE A JOKE OR IF THEY CAN'T BE REAL.'
You see, this fool was showing off, as clearly he had many more followers on social media and this is absolutely worthless - as he has never met these people and if he dropped dead tomorrow his ' following' would just find another young cute dumb as shit to follow and he would be forgotren, BUT REAL FLESH AND BLOOD FRIENDS - REMEMBER YOU - care you you, listen and worry about YOU and not just through a fake social media account but here in the real world.
Sadly Gen Z are so afraid of communicating face to face with real people - and this is pathetic, as people need people - not fake friends on the internet, but people, friends, family, PEOPLE - NOT SOCIAL MEDIA.
