He saved his rabbit by diving into the river.
This is a homeless individual ( below ) who resides on one of Dublin City's bridges. His rabbit was taken from him last week and he had it thrown off the bridge into the River Liffey.one of Ireland's worst rivers. The currents are actually quite powerful and it's disgusting. In any case, the moment the rabbit entered the water this guy was already racing off the bridge and into the icy river to rescue her. After jumping into the water and after finding her successfully, he goes on to pump air into her, causing her to come round and essentially spring back to life. I spoke to him today with another lady and she said to me "Why in the name of God did you jump in the water? Didn't you think about it?! " and immediately he answered with "No. I didn't think. I just did it. It was an instinct. I had to save her."
For rescuing the rabbit, he received the 'compassionate citizen award' from charity Aran. The man who threw the rabbit into the river has been indicted for animal cruelty.
The homeless man was also provided with carrots for his rabbit and dog food for his dog. They also offered him employment.
This is a wonderful man.

So who do you tip, or - who SHOULD you tip, after receiving a service from them, and why ?
WHY ? The answer is obvious. People in these trades usually are on low wage - or minimum wage and all to often LIVE on their tips as their wage is reflective of the fact that they get tips so are paid very low wages as an incentive to give a better service and so get better tips. And then there are these mean tight fisted customers who leave nothing.
Hairdressers - Barman - Waiter - Taxi / Coach drivers - Food delivery people - Baby / House / Pet sitters
Dog walkers - Your childs day care worker ? - Cleaners / Housekeeping -
And maybe at Christmas your - Postman / Dustman -
WE ALL KNOW - to tip people in these professions and if you don't, then don't expect the best serice from them. Believe me, when you get out of that taxi and stand with your hand out waiting for the change, and you leave no tip:- Or the hairdresser who worked on your hair for so long listening to your ' oh so boring conversation'- and then no tip: - Or the waiter who has worked really hard to offer a good service while being rushed off their feet - and probably a college or university student working to pay for classes - and then you leave no tip - especially as in Central London a LOT of restaurants DO NOT PAY THEIR STAFF - they rely SOLELY ON TIPS, and then you leave with no tip left at all;- I think words like 'mean old bastard / cunt / fucker' will be heard behind your back.
A friend who takes tourists on week long coach tours to Europe, told how one couple who had him running around in circles the whole week, customers from hell - gave him a £1 at the end of a full week where he entertains, informs, listens to and goes way beyond what the job expects in order to make your holiday better - and is a great driver tour guide and a good laugh - and all they felt his time and extra effort was worth - was a £1 ? Do you know how insulting that is ?
Were they deliberately offering this as a sign of offense - a put down - a demeaning gesture towards a lowly coach driver ( they were on a coach holiday so not exactly a 5 star couple ) and patronising someone in this manner is contemptable.
It's really insulting and rude. What the fuck can you buy with £1 ? A FIRST CLASS STAMP IS £1.70 AND THEY OFFERD HIM A MEASLY £1. It's funny - but not, at the same time.
He was speachless and gave it back to them and told them they clearly needed the money more and how insulting it was to offer someone a £1 - ( This is 2025 not 1975 ) and they were absolutely gobsmacked while others on the coach were - RIGHT IN FRONT OF THIS MEAN COUPLE - giving him on average £25 tip for all the little extras he had facilitated for them and how it helped make their holiday and how appreciative they were.
Cruise ships have a recommended tip you are expected to leave your room steward - and is not a suggestion.
Here at Hamilton Hall one time we had this old fart couple messing us around all week - a real pain in the arse - and when they were leaving I mentioned ' Don't forget to leave a tip for Woody who has gone way beyond his duties to cater to your mood swings'- and they actually rummaged through their pocket and offered a pile of loose change as a tip, and offered around 75p in change. I BARKED LOUD AND CLEAR about how fucking rude that was - their loose change as a tip didn't cut it and I told them both some home truths about not being welcome here again after all their picky attitude, the constant moaning and finding fault and where Woody had worked SO HARD to make things right for them and then they leave - begrudgingly - 75p. GET THE FUCK OUT and was especially obnoxious as they took a taxi home to Southampton costing over £350 - so they have the money - they are not short of a few bob, just mean old farts when it comes to saying thankyou for good service.
The whole tipping thing may be wrong, but it is what it is and you may not agree, but then you may wonder why you get bad service because you are known as a NON TIPPER - and the service you get will reflect that.
A homeless person today is here washing my car for which I will over pay him as he needs it. He also brought me a little spiritual book as a present and a way of saying thankyou. It's a second hand book that probably cost him 25p - BUT IT IS THE THOUGHT THAT MATTERS AND I TOTALLY APPRECIATE THAT. BIG TIME. I will over pay him, maybe £50 to wash my car, as he is the one out in the cold and I am in the warm - he is the one sleeping rough while I tuck up in my warm bed - and if he buys drugs and booze with the money - what do you think I was going to spend it on - ha ha - drugs and booze !!! - and if that helps him through another cold night stoned and happy, then good for him. He's hardly likely to save that £50 toward a deposit on a flat - the man is homeless - so no bank account and no address....so - enjoy it while you can.
Life has been good to me, so I share what I can with those less fortunate - hence all the free stuff I offer at Hamilton Hall.
If you have a service anywhere in life and don't tip, know what they call you behind your back and know that you probably never donate to charity either, never help or assist anyone in need and cater solely towards your self. It's all self self self. How mean and how selfish some people truly are.

Trump frequently brags about the trillions of dollars of investments flooding into America, due to his efforts. Not only is he exaggerating massively, but now people are pulling out of planned investments. They don’t trust Trump.

So, when The Apprentice took off, a quote came to light from one of Trump’s old professors at University of Pennsylvania, Wharton - the prestigious school where he got his Economics degree.
The professor was William T. Kelley, who repeatedly said, “Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had.”
As Trump LOVES to say that Penn was one of the HARDEST schools to get into (his self congratulatory pat on the back), the Admissions Officer was actually a personal friend of his dad’s - James A. Nolan - who described Trump as, “Definitely not a super genius.”
He ALSO added that the school was taking 40 percent of ALL applicants. And about interviewing him at ALL, Nolan last added, “I wish I hadn’t interviewed him. In retrospect, I wish I hadn’t done that.”
He’s just a spoiled rich kid who has gotten everything he ever wanted because of the power he wields over others.
There was a guy who HAD to read Trump the Constitution when he was first elected - because he HADN’T READ IT YET. The guy said that by the time he got to the 4th Amendment, Trump was making bored raspberry sounds.
MAGA thinks he’s Jesus - even though he goes against everything Jesus taught - and think he is the most brilliant 3D chess level politician ever.
How about they listen to the actual people working AROUND him - they all call him an idiot. Lazy. Spoiled. Abusive. Tillerson (former Sec. of State) famously called him a moron.
All the people who have to DEAL with him think he’s as dumb as a bag of hammers -and that’s BEFORE he tells you we should have looked into bleach injections for COVID, or saying Hurricane Florence was "One of the wettest we've ever seen from the standpoint of water."
I get that it’s embarrassing to admit you backed the wrong horse - NO ONE wants to admit they made a bad decision, and we non-MAGA folk understand that. But years into the future, historians will not be looking back at this time with rose-colored glasses. They will be showing all the interviews on the street with people doing the weirdest mental gymnastics to praise some idiotic malicious thing Trump did, and you all will be held in the same regard as all the white people screaming at Ruby Bridges going to a white school.
Trump is ALREADY regarded as our worst President ever - don’t keep going down with him. Move on to another politician.
Because here’s the hard truth as well - he’s about to turn 78, eat fast food all day, and takes crap care of himself. He’s gonna die soon - and THEN what will you have? 16 T-Shirts, 21 blankets, and a full set of dishware with his face on them, and 2 pairs of $400 gold sneakers - and NO ONE to adore. He’ll be DEAD.
Everyone ELSE knows he’s just a politician, and will simple move on to the next one for the next election.
He’s NOT a genius - he’s a spoiled idiot. He knows that if he tells you that he loves you, you will start crying and fawn over him and vote for him - he knows this very well - just how easily manipulated you are. And he is ABUSING that.
He doesn’t give a rat’s ass about you. Never did. Doesn’t know you exist - doesn’t care. He just wants your money, and your vote. And if he can’t get either from you, he has no USE for you.
He is not a nice person at all.
Trump doesn't even give a rats ass for the USA as he sees it just as his personal piggy bank to steal billions for himself and his other wealthy friends.

22nd in quality of life,
49th in life expectancy,
24th in happiness,
132nd in safety, and your health care system is failing.
Meanwhile,
Canada is 4th in education,
4th in quality of life, 1
8th in happiness,
19th in life expectancy,
3rd in safety,
and 18th in healthcare.
In every one of those aspects, Canada comes out significantly better than the United States. Furthermore, the USA is drowning in debt, with amounts totaling a disgusting USD$36.2 TRILLION, OWED BY AMERICA - which is around 122% of the country’s entire GDP. This amount is also growing by about a trillion dollars every three months.
Canada also has a higher literacy rate, a lower obesity rate, a lower poverty rate, a higher average intelligence, nicer people, a universal healthcare system, more affordable post-secondary education, and so much more.
So to answer your question, no, Canada is not a significantly worse version of the USA. Canada is arguably a better country on numerous standards.

JB comments: I am always astounded by the dumbest of questions asked by Americans who assume the USA is TOP DOG in EVERYTHING when the truth is very often totally the reverse. I find it hard to believe so many Americans buy into the bullshit rhetoric as to how their country leads the world when it MOST DEFINATELY DOES NOT. Do Americans understand that because of Trump, the USA has become THE MOST HATED COUNTRY ON THE PLANET , and is no wonder tourism is down up to 60% - imports down MASSIVELY - and business are leaving the USA and not bringing investment and jobs INTO the USA, but they are leaving in droves to avoid Trumps tariffs and the complete shambles that is the Trump presidency where business;s do not trust so will not invest.
