I was just talking with my boyfriend about how he worries that Charlie Kirk’s death will lead to more political violence. Personally? I don’t agree at all.

See, when people on the right keep going on and on and on about how “violent” they think people on the left are, they’re LYING. They’re LYING. They KNOW people on the left are less violent and have engaged in far less criminal acts than people on the right - but they don’t care. They don’t give a shit. No - the problem is actually the perfect opposite - they think people on the left are WEAK, and that gives them the right to push people on the left around.

People on the right know that people on the left are less violent, and they don’t care. They’re lying. So I don’t buy this idea that the problem is people on the left are “too violent” - that’s horseshit, and they know it. It doesn’t fucking matter how nonviolent we are, people on the right will still feel that they are inherently better than others and that they have the right to push everyone else around.

So in a way, I’m kind of hoping Kirk’s shooter was left-wing. Those on the right are going to blame “the left” no matter what the facts are. At least then those on the right will start to take us seriously. I’m sick and tired of people on the left being pushed around like this. The time for civility has long since passed.

TRUMP INSTILLS VIOLENCE AND THREATS EVERYWHERE HE GOES AND THEN BLAMES THE DEMOCRATS WHEN HE IS THE ONE STIRRING UP THE SHIT.

W hy are so many developed democracies now warning their citizens NOT to travel to the US? Is the US now dangerous to foreigners like Canadians, Scandinavians, and Europeans etc?

I am astounded this question even has to be asked as the answer is obvious.

Here are some incidents in recent weeks:

A Lebanese doctor with a valid visa was sent home because customs agents found photos and videos which they said were “sympathetic” to the former leade of Hezbollah.

A French researcher was sent home after finding messages critisising the Grump administration.

A Canadian woman was held for 12 days for questions about her visa status, and denied contact with lawyers or family; she was only released because media started reporting on her case.

Even US citizens are not immune: one was chained to a bench because her German fiancé was detained for violating visa terms with a day trip to Mexico.

A German tourist crossing from Tijuana was locked up for six weeks, including over a week in solitary confinement, for a similar situation.

And that’s just those which got media attention.

What has killed international tourism to the USA?

Donald Trump, his MAGA regime and his secret police. Most foreign travelers are concerned about being denied entry, being arrested and sent to prison or deported. The US now has a fascist government and no one can be guaranteed a safe and pleasant trip to the US. There are so many other places to visit in the world that are safe and beautiful. Why take the risk of going to the USA.

I am an American citizen and I would not even take the risk of going to visit my family.

JB: So Charles Dickens was a vile human being then. This shines a very different light on the history of this so called 'GREAT MAN IN LITERATURE' when we hear about what a bastard he was to his own wife.

How she suffered in silence while he went onto global fame. Just shows that like Trump, there will always be those who admire the asshole.

It also shows how this male dominated society put her in the background while he was allowed to shine. How many talented and gifted women were ignored and abused and their talent waster because men were resentful or jealous and so pushed them down and kept them in the kitchen and nursery where these men considerd they belonged.

What will you, as a European, do when Trump makes it illegal to use American cloud services?

It’s impossible for that to happen.

But hypothetically if such things were possible, Europe would probably make it illegal for Americans to use the Worldwide Web (a British invention), or to even use computers (again, a British invention).

And if the Americans tried to make their own, the French would step in and make it illegal for Americans to use any form of computer programming. Sweden would then block the United States’ phones from using Bluetooth.

Germany would then step in and make it illegal for Americans to drive cars. Italy would make it illegal for Americans to use radios or eat pizza.

The UK would then ban the United States from using English, and — with a little help from Spain — would ensure that the United States had to use a language like Navajo or some other truly American language.

ADDENDUM: In answer to a couple of people’s comments, yes Bluetooth was named for a Danish king, but it was first developed in 1989 by Nils Rydbeck at Ericsson Mobile in Lund, Sweden.

America does not seem to realise how vulnerable they are to the fact that the USA RELIES HEAVILY ON THE REST OF THE WORLD and there is very little it can manufacture without parts from other countries and how it makes very little from begining to end.
