They begged to have a photo taken with me... 26/07/26

He posted a photo of himself sleeping on the street,

under his famous bronze statue, and sadly wrote:

"How times have changed"...

The reason he wrote the phrase was not only because he was old, but because when he was governor of California he inaugurated that hotel with his statue.

The hotel management told Arnold that "you can come anytime and you will always have a separate room for yourself."

When Arnold resigned as governor and one day wanted to stay at the hotel, the management refused to give him a room, arguing that he should pay, since the hotel was almost full.

He brought a sleeping bag and lay down under the statue and explained what he wanted to convey: "When I was in an important position, I was always congratulated, and when I lost that position, they forgot about me and didn't keep their promise. Don't trust your position, the amount of money you have, your power, or your intelligence; it won't last."

Trying to teach everyone that when you're "important" in people's eyes, everyone is your "friend." But once you stop benefiting or serving their interests, you won't matter.

"You are not always who you think you will always be, nothing lasts forever."

People come and go; everyone's interests change overnight. Today they might embrace you, and tomorrow betray you or even trample you.

The challenge, then, is to learn to choose our connections wisely, disconnecting from toxic and opportunistic people, and taking the time to place, in our circles of trust, those who love us for who we are, and not for what they can get from us out of self-interest or reject out of disinterest.

Stories to reflect on life

In 2004, four rescuers were swimming off the coast of New Zealand

when seven dolphins suddenly surrounded them and began circling around them.

For 40 minutes, the dolphins swam a few centimeters from their bodies, hitting the water with their tails. When one of the swimmers tried to walk away, two dolphins pulled him back to the group.

Then he looked beneath him... and understood why. A great white shark of nearly three meters was circling only two meters below them.

From the beginning, the dolphins protected them..

A woman caught a mountain lion swimming in her pool, but the stray cat and kittens beside it made the

whole thing even weirder.

During summer a woman in California was getting ready to head outside when she heard splashing coming from the backyard. Thinking something had fallen into the pool, she looked out the window and froze. A mountain lion was in the water. But that was not even the strangest part.

Right there beside the pool was a stray cat with her kittens, calm enough that it almost looked like they had all agreed to share the space. Instead of attacking them, the mountain lion just kept cooling off, turning the whole moment into something that felt impossible to explain.

Wildlife officials were called and later managed to drive the mountain lion away safely, while the stray cat and kittens were also helped off the property.

What really got people talking was the fact that, out of everything that could have happened, the mountain lion chose to share the moment instead of turning aggressive.

Great…it’s just come out that the liner used in the reflecting pool is toxic to aquatic wildlife . It will probably have to be stripped out and redone. They are finding dead ducks. And what and out other animals or people that might come in contact with this water.

You make, and take, from the news that which you wish to see and hear. You observe what you want and comment of things that affect you personally. If you don't like something, do not read it and move on but do not shy away from what IS going on in the world of which - you are a part. World news is so easy to find these days and differing opinions not hard to find. Having an opinion is vital and being a ' don't care' person helps no one. So open your mind - open your heart - open your awareness and ALWAYS be open to new ideas.
