What is the most horrifying Bible passage?

and scroll down for an alternative narrative:-

It's difficult to choose one among so many… first, in Deuteronomy 22, there's the account that if a woman was raped in the countryside, the man should die because she screamed and wasn't heard. But if she was raped in the city, she would also be punished.
Apparently, it's presumed that she didn't scream loud enough, so she wasn't helped. It didn't occur to anyone that the man could gag the victim or threaten her life. There's also the gem that the rapist could buy the victim from her father.
But there are two even more repulsive passages.
The first is in Genesis 19. Sodom and Gomorrah. Two angels visit Lot, he receives them, and some perverts appear at Lot's door and demand that he hand over 'the men' (the perverts don't know they are angels) to be raped, and Lot offers his two virgin daughters to be raped in his place! Note: he did this to maintain his image as a good host, whose duty it was to ensure the safety of his guests. And note that these were angels of the Lord who would have been fully capable of defending themselves.

The second instance is in Judges 19. A Levite takes a concubine, and she betrays him. Then they go home, and again, perverts knock on the door and demand that two guests be handed over. The Levite offers his daughter and the concubine. They are raped all night. The Levite did this to be a good host and ensure the safety of his guests. But the barbarity doesn't stop there. The next day, the Levite dismembers the concubine and sends the pieces to the twelve tribes of Israel…
-----------------------
When every male person in Sodom ( every single male person ) came to the door of Lott and asked who the strangers were in his house - ' Bring them out so we may know them.' - this meant so we may be introduced as the whole city was very unfriendly to strangers and Lott's guests ( male angels ) were seen as a threat and the people wanted to know who they were. Biblical scholars have indicated for two thousand years that this meant the men of the city wanted to have sex with the two strangers - ( WTF ? ) and that the city was destroyed becauae of vice, sexual deviants, homosexuality, crime and so forth - when that narrative was imagined and made up by mistranslating the Bible, misreading what it actually meant and using it to control the mass of people, it was not about sharing the truth. It was about power.
Sodom was a very unfriendly place of learning and was destroyed by a great explosion, and the Sumerian epics talk about Gilgamesh and the city was destroyed by a nuclear bomb that was an accident, ( by the Ananunaki who dearly regretted the accident. )
Another mistranslated story.
TROY and the GIANT WOODEN HORSE.
The city had been surrounded for up to a decade by the invading army as many of these battles where one is hold up in a castle while the others camp nearby, could last years.
The Great Horse as NOT a wooden structure that enabled them to smuggle soldiers inside the gates of the city at all.
TROY

The City of Troy was located close to the ocean. An earthquake caused and created an enormous WHITE HORSE, which is a tidal wave, a tsunami, and the white of the water as it crashes ashore is known as a WHITE HORSE , and the tidal wave hit to city walls and brought them down and the invading army used this opportunity to follow the surging tidalwave into the city and conquore.

Generations are taght the story of the wooden horse as many are told the story of Adam and Eve - and even that is incorrect as Adam had a first wife who was equal to Adam in every way amed Lilleth, and the Bibklical schoars dod NOT want a women equal to a man, so they turned her into the snake in the Tree of Good and Evil and the snake has the head and shoulders of a woman,- Lilleth - damned to be evil by the early Christian church and a complete bastardisation of the truth.

You make, and take, from the news that which you wish to see and hear. You observe what you want and comment of things that affect you personally. If you don't like something, do not read it and move on but do not shy away from what IS going on in the world of which - you are a part. World news is so easy to find these days and differing opinions not hard to find. Having an opinion is vital and being a ' don't care' person helps no one. So open your mind - open your heart - open your awareness and ALWAYS be open to new ideas.
