Who will save America ?

No one is going to step in and save Americans from the guy they duly elected. That is how democracy and sovereignty work. It appears many Americans, including their moron president, struggle with these very simple concepts.
If Trump continues to prattle on about tariffs, and trade wars and invading allies (former allies?) then the world will simply turn their back on America. It is already happening. Get used to it. America isn’t winning any hearts and minds abroad. The US are on the fast track to near total isolationism. There won’t be any trade and security alliances for the US to join if they piss the EU/NATO and the Commonwealth off enough. America won’t be permitted to join BRICS because China…
The US has,- I do believe,- just hammered the last nail in the coffin of American hegemony. This is the fall of an empire…it will take years but I fear the US has passed the point of no return.
American democracy is dead.

The only people who can turn the USA around, are the people of America. Alternative political ideologies need putting on place that the people like and will help rebuild some of the bridges Trump has so quickly and it appears - so easily - destroyed with his wrecking ball and a great deal of grovelling and apologising to the world because of the very obnoxious and - well RUDE is not a strong enough word to describe how Trump treats other countries and other people - and as so many voted for him, this really is not going to be an easy path to walk back from. ANY country that votes for a man like this, sorry to say it -but deserves all it gets - I just feel sorry for all the decent hard working people whose lives will now be destroyed.
My brother in law has lived in the USA for 40+ years on a green card. A totally legal alien. He owns a company that employs Americans. Yesterday he returned to the states from a holiday in Europe and was singled out in immigration for several ‘special’ interviews. Never happened before. He’s concerned that it is getting worse and some time soon he will be taken into custody, his belongings, his bank accounts and his company will be confiscated and he will either be deported with nothing or end up in Guantanamo Bay. For what reason? It doesn’t seem to matter. He’s not yet scared but is very worried. He might sell up and retire to Costa Rica soon. This is reality today. Trump now has absolute power that cannot be questioned, due to his Big beautiful bill. We should all be worried.
I think we all know that Trump is the cause for the destruction of the USA and of democracy within the USA and how this one man , this orange fruit cake, this multiple times bankrupt, this man who seems to have based himself on Hitler, is the sole reason tens of thousands are dying, millions made unemployed, loosing their homes and lifestyle and all while claiming to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN - but for who ??? Certainly not the people of America, certainly not for small, medium or even large business and certainly not for the good of the nation. Maybe the billionairs and low lives like himself who are stealing - as that's what it SHOULD be called and NOT - 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN' - but 'THE GREAT STEAL.'
As someone who sent most of their lives in Memphis Tennessee, I can give you a few options.
EDUCATION:
Most schools (& I was lucky enough to go to a private school; my grandparents paid for it on a payment plan). The only real history we got on European History was in English Literature. I can only imagine the time spent on it in underfunded, overcrowded public schools with the metal detectors and cops roaming the halls (depending on the area of town).
We never once made it through modern US History in HS. I only learned the truth about US History once I went to university. Several History classes later (US, Native American, Women's). Lots of things didn't jive with what we were being taught from the beginning. So many people don't go/can't afford University, so what they've been told is what they believe.
I believe what I do because I study everything I can get my hands on, study it, and make my own decisions. I believe I can't know what I truly believe until I know what I definitely do not know.
IDEALS
“US is the greatest country in the world!” Why would people want to go anywhere else when you already have been indoctrinated into the ideals and values taught above? There's so many “safe” places to vacation in the Country. Who knows what might happen in another country.
ISOLATION
The US is isolated from most of the rest of the world, the exception being our former friends North in Canada or the countries we've snubbed forever in the South. Otherwise, we have 2 big oceans separating everyone else.
FINANCIAL / EMPLOYMENT
It's not easy to for most to come up with money for a simple vacation somewhere near home. If you have the money for that, then there's always trying to get time off. Even when I had worked at the same place for a decade, I had 3 weeks Holiday pay, sick pay ½ day per month that started over on the new year. Anything else was at employer's discrecion. That doesn't give anyone time to travel and enjoy your time.
Those are just a few reasons. After living in Australia 15 years and actually experiencing life, politics, healthcare, religion (or lack of having it shoved down your throat every day), why would the US want the masses traveling to see countries with Universal Healthcare, actual time off to travel & live & learn that the rest of the world has some things that work much better than what's going on there?

So all the USA's achievements are indirectly a result of the British Empire.
Unless they impeach the man responsible . I'm not sure they can . The really scary thing is I'm not sure this can be fixed now . The world tolerated trump during his first term in office . He was only going to be in office for 4 years , and anyway And since he spent most of his time playing golf ,he did not get to do , as much harm as he planned .
Then covid hit and that distracted him from doing much of the serious harm he had planned to do (except to some American farmers ) many of them went bankrupt . Although the world did breathed a sigh of relief .When his term was up . They thought Americans have learned a really EXPENSIVE LESSON and won't make that mistake again .
Since many had payed the ultimate price . But its over now ,And sanity had returned . Yippee .Forgive and forget . That Americans would elect him again was not something the world expected to happen WHY IN THE NAME OF SANITY WOULD THEY . .
So they were prepared to forgive and accept that everyone is entitled to make a mistake . However to re-elect him , when he promised at every rally , to dramatically increase the cost of living ,bankrupt the country .Destroy trade ,tourism and medical care and get rid of cheap labour that would keep home produce food affordable .Is utterly mind boggling to any rational thinking person , and TOTALLY UNFORGIVABLE . While its possible they will not vote republican the next time . The world knows they will vote another racist felon in again . In a couple of years time .So why trust them or go back to trading with people who stab you in the face .For being their Allies .And supporting their businesses .
They are not to be trusted . The hatred and anger that Republicans feel for their fellow Americans and everyone across the world is REALLY difficult to understand .
They have voted for the total destruction of their own Country just to hurt the people they hate .So the world is now walking away . And saying good riddance to bad rubbish . You need us and our produce . We don't need you or yours .

America is full of wonderful, educated and sensible people.
It is the most beautiful and diverse country with stunning scenery, coasts, mountains and everything you could imagine. Like anywhere, it has its problems and dumb people and sadly, the dumb people seem to out number the educated ones these days and we are seeing living proof of this under Trump and all those who foolishly voted for him.
It saddens me to see this once great nation being flushed down the toilet and it may very well NEVER recover as China, India, the EU, Canada, Mexico and even Japan - between them, ostracise the USA and cut it off from most global trade and the USA will - sadly - sink into oblivion as a ' ONCE GREAT NATION' that lost its way. I do hope the ' Special Relationship' ( whatever that is ) that is supposedy shared between the USA and the UK survives and we do not get dragged down with them.
To the many sweet people who e mail me from America desperately sad at what is happening to their country, you have my heart felt sympathies. Keep the fight. Keep the faith. Know we see you and feel your pain. Know that for all the decent people in the USA - which I TRULY feel is the majority despite who they voted for - it is up to you and no one else to bring about change within the USA and you need your political bodies to put someone up who can challenge Trump and take his throne,- but by putting up old men like Biden against him, you don't stand a chance. America wants and is demanding CHANGE and offering them the same old corrupt mechanisms that people are sick off, doesn't work any more. Hence Trump. His lies offered something different and was seen as a challenge against the old system, little did you know what you were letting yourselves in for.
We had lies and deception over Brexit here in the UK and many would now vote differently but the lies, the constant lies from government bodies just confused and betrayed the public.
For every lie a politician is proven to have made, should be fined £10,000 / $10,000 and then maybe they would think before uttering lie after lie.

We dumped all our criminals and religious nutters there, but fucking hell, they weren't supposed to end up running the fucking country. You fell short of ever making it as the greatest as you fucked up too often, goat herders and rice farmers, as well as peasant. And most successful, at what ?
Ed; most successful at brainwashing its people, evidence; yourself. Use Google it will tell you just how great you are. Unfortunately every other source will tell a different story, brainwashing at its finest. You seem to forget just how much the rest of the wrld contributes and how you are NOTHING without us.
