Why do European people stop travelling to the USA?

Because we're still shocked !
Shocked by Trump's re-election, despite all the warnings from the free world. Shocked by the American attitude toward its allies and the hostile attitude toward Greenland (Denmark) and Canada.
The interference in the European elections and the support of Nazis and ultra-right parties didn't really surprise us, but it drastically increased the negative image of the USA.

These were the main reasons why I personally cancelled my vacation plans. And I would have loved to visit my family in California again, but... no thanks.
The many bad news from the USA and the current development toward an authoritarian regime, the many parallels between Trump's and Hitler's rise to power, the trade war, and all the other nonsense that the highest representative of the American people is currently spouting.
All of this confirms my decision to avoid the USA.And many Europeans and other travelers around the world feel the same way!The US has never been more unpopular than it is today.

Reports of (European) travelers being detained at the border and subsequently deported are further deterring people! Spending thousands of dollars on flights, hotels, and the like, only to end up spending your vacation in jail?Even if it's very rare, the mere fact that it could happen is enough to keep travelers away !
I sincerely hope the situation improves soon, but I don't think it will. The only way for the American people to restore their reputation is to replace Trump early.
If Trump can take full advantage of his term in office, it will be very difficult for the American people to regain the lost trust. The world will always wonder when the next "Trump" will be elected.

Occupy Democrats - HAVE WE NO SHAME

BREAKING: A federal judge appointed by Reagan rules that many of Donald Trump’s cuts to grants for the National Institutes of Health are now “void and illegal” and declares: “Have we fallen so low? Have we no shame?"
And he was just getting warmed up…
"I am hesitant to draw this conclusion, but I have an unflinching obligation to draw it – that this represents racial discrimination,” said District of Massachusetts Judge William Young. “And discrimination against America’s LGBTQ community. That’s what this is. I would be blind not to call it out. My duty is to call it out."
Many of the cuts were aimed at diversity, equity, and inclusion programs which the MAGA movement has condemned as “woke.” In practice, the Trump administration is entrenching discrimination against people of color and the LGBTQ community — red meat for the white nationalists and Christian nationalists who helped elect him.
In total, Young has ordered the NIH to move forward with disbursement on funding for 357 grants that Trump was trying to kill.
Judge Young condemned the administration’s racist agenda and stated that it’s “palpably clear" that the grant terminations were "designed to frustrate, to stop, research that may bear on the health – we’re talking about health here — the health of Americans, of our LGBTQ community.
“That’s appalling,” he added, stating that he’d "never seen a record where racial discrimination was so palpable. I've sat on this bench now for 40 years. I’ve never seen government racial discrimination like this ... I ask myself, how can this be?" he said according to Politico’s Kyle Cheney.
Judge Young said that he is Constitutionally protected in speaking out against this discrimination but wondered if he would have stood “against all this” if those protections weren’t in place.
“Would I have said, 'you can’t do this?' You are bearing down on people of color because of their color,” said Young. “The Constitution will not permit that," he said.
“Have we fallen so low? Have we no shame?" he added.
U.S. Tourism Will Lose Up To $29 Billion As Visitors Plummet Amid Trump Policies.

Last month, a study from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) that analyzed the economic impact of tourism in 184 countries revealed the U.S. was the only country forecast to see international visitor spending decline in 2025.
The WTTC projects the U.S. to be on track to lose $12.5 billion in international visitor spending this year compared to last year, according to the research.
It could be argued, however, that the actual losses will be significantly larger, given that Tourism Economics, a division of Oxford Economics, had originally forecasted the U.S. would see a 9% jump in international inbound travel in 2025.
A 9% increase would have equated to a boost of about $16.3 billion in revenue for the U.S. economy.
Instead, Tourism Economics has revised its baseline forecast to a year-over-year decline of 8.2%—a significant 17.2% variance from its original 9% increase.
From the anticipated $16.3 billion increase in revenue to a loss of between $8.3 billion (Tourism Economics estimate) and $12.5 billion (WTTC estimate), the U.S. is facing a shortfall of $25 billion to $29 billion this year.

’Cause they are old and er - what a dumb question.
The Scottish actor Billy Connolly once talked about how Americans have no real sense of ancientness. He mentioned this young American girl he knew who “talked about this building that was 100 years old, and she liked to lean against it and ‘feel the years.’ I said, ‘You don’t even know what you’re talkin’ about. In Scotland we got a town called Newbridge that’s called that because 900 years ago they built a new bridge. And the old bridge is still there just a wee piece from the new bridge!’”
This is a town that has a bridge it considers new, that’s 700+ years older than the United States.
Cities?
Hell, the UK has vacation cabins that are older than the US !
Only a Dumb Assed American would ask such a dumb assed question and expect to be taken seriously whereas we just look at the likes of him and just laugh, as how can anyone be such a dumb ass.

Not since the internet came along and we began to realise how the American way of life really is.
Before that, unless we visited the place ourselves, we mainly just had glamorous TV shows and movies to go on. Fifty years ago, the USA seemed to be full of incredibly confident and good-looking people running around with guns, driving big shiny cars, living in big shiny apartments, solving crimes and saving lives with futuristic technology and unlimited resources in endless glorious sunshine. What’s not to envy, right?
But once we started interacting with real Americans, especially on social media, and seeing more news footage from the US, the reality became more apparent. The level of violence, the gun industry, the health industry, the food industry, the pharma industry, the prison industry, the employment conditions, the schools, the drugs, the racism, the chauvinism, the widespread ignorance and lack of world education and it seems, murdering cops and bent politicians keen on making millions for themselves and their corporate friends and then lie through their teeth against doing ' the right thing.'

Despite the fact that in the UK we like to complain about our own country, it began to dawn on us that actually we are better off over here. Much better off. America may assume itself to be top dog, but just look at Trumps Birthday Parade - what a sham, what a mess, what a laughable charade of amateurs - whereas DAILY the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace is LIGHTYEARS ahead of the appalling mess that was Trumps, and we change the guards every single day. 1,000 times better than Trumps appalling parade.
That is just one example where we run rings around the Americans. And believe me, there are thousands of rings we run rings around with the USA, but we Brits don't like to brag or boast whereas - ha ha - America LOVES to take credit for anything and everything even if they were no way responsible. Oh how America likes to change the rhetoric, the news, to boost its own self inflated ego.
Shame really, as it is a beautiful country full of wonderful people and yet has always been seen as a Global Bully out for its own good and not that of anyone else.
America is well past its peak. A corrupt political system, lousy infrastructure and arrogant billionaires trying to dictate policies for the whole World because they are rich.your food standards are unacceptable in Europe, your gun culture anathema to civilised people and you want a trade deal to deny people their basic right to healthcare?
America under Trump is a spent force, he will create a Depression larger than 1926. You will be isolated without friends or military cooperation on the World stage. International trade will bypass America, the dollar will no longer be the reserve currency and economically will become irrelevant very quickly with China eating your lunch and replacing America as number one in the World,
When America decides to leave NATO, you lose all your military bases in Europe, lose all intelligence gathering information and suffer reciprocal trade sanctions .
The simple truth is we don’t need or want a trade deal with the USA, countries like Canada and Mexico together with the British Commonwealth and Europe offer a much better prospect that attempting to deal with your new child man president. The NHS is not for sale, either to Trump or Elon Musk.
In just my lifetime?
Simple:

Ronald Reagan: Shipped US jobs overseas, presided over the highest inflation in US history, first to take the US debt over $1 Trillion.
George Bush: Raised that debt to over 4 Trillion. Continued sending jobs overseas. I will give him credit for actually having a short, victorious war in Desert Storm. Let the Republican party start the basis for the antagonistic, hostile forms of campaigning done today despite his pretense to be civilized.
Second George Bush: Started the Iraq Invasion on false pretenses. Added ANOTHER $ 4 trillion to the US debt. Economic policies helped cause the 2008 Recession and banking crisis that President Obama had to fix.
Donald Trump: Crashed the job industry, nearly destroyed the American farmer, increased the national debt by nearly $ 7 Trillion, damaged US relations with our allies, Caused unnecessary trade wars, illegally used the office of President for profit, attempted to steal an election, caused the largest terrorist attack on the Legislative Branch of the USA on 6 Jan 2021.
