European Parliament adopts measure to ban conversion therapy
“These so-called conversion practices or therapies are not only harmful, they are a profound violation of human dignity and fundamental rights.” The European Parliament voted in favor of a ban on conversion therapy this Wednesday. The demand is now being sent to the European Commission for a response. The move comes after the European Citizens’ Initiative successfully petitioned the European Parliament to take up the issue. Starting in 2024, the ECI gathered over 1.2 million signatures from EU citizens to ban conversion therapy.

Trump Rants About Nuclear War to a Room Full of Kids
Let’s start with something that would have been a five-alarm scandal in any other era of American politics.
Trump was supposed to be signing a proclamation about youth sports and fitness. Instead, he spent roughly an hour ranting about Iran, nuclear weapons, immigration, Barack Obama, election fraud, and transgender people, all while children stood around him.
He called the ongoing war with Iran a “skirmish.” Then he turned to the kids in the room and said, and this is a real quote, “We can’t let Iran have a nuclear weapon. You might be too young for this.” Then he kept going anyway.
He claimed Iran would’ve had a nuclear weapon “within two weeks” if the U.S. hadn’t acted. He said the Middle East would’ve been “gone.” He said Israel would’ve been “gone.” And he suggested the U.S. might not even be around today if Iran had gotten the bomb. Of course, this is less than a year after he claimed to have “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program.
Trump went on to describe protesters being shot “right between the eyes.” He repeated his long-debunked claim about winning the 2020 election. He complained about not getting the Nobel Peace Prize. He told a room full of kids that Democrats support “transgender mutilization of your children,” then added, “Don’t listen to this, kids.”
At no point did any adult in the room stop it.
Trump apparently wanted to nuke Iran.

My guess is that we’ll keep expanding on JEF to include Canada along with more European countries and just let NATO fade away into irrelevance like USA. Many of the problems we have in this world is caused by USA being in NATO while USA keeps starting wars everywhere, not to mention the American obedience to Israel.
The more USA says it doesn’t need any allies, doesn’t want to pay its debts or respect its commitments, I think more of us are coming to the conclusion that USA simply is a very bad partner to have in a defense alliance. USA is unstable, unreliable and untrustworthy and that is a big problem for us as allies, but it is also a very big problem for the other side.
I don’t think that NATO itself makes sense without USA because it’s so intertwined, but a defensive northern military alliance that the world can truly rely on and respect, is obviously needed.
