NHS says these changes could lower cholesterol without statins

JB COMMENTS: Truly, Statins were appalling for my overall general health. MAJOR aches and pains in my joints that were so bad, I went to the doctor thinking I needed a new hip as the pain, - and as for my back - and I was foggy brained and trying hard to ' keep it together' - thinking this was just a general age decline and ' this is it '- a slow decline into old age -

SO after researching and writing previously on here, I stopped taking them and my health improved almost immediately. ALL my muscle and joint aches and pains basically gone - almost overnight. My runny nose has stopped. The headaches reduced and over the next few days I noticed an improvement in my mental acuity.

CHECK THE DETAILS BELOW AND IF YOU ARE SUFFERING WITH THESE SYMPTOMS AND TAKING ANY STATINS - STOP TAKING THEM -

- and talk to your doctor and explain how thIs drug has too many severe side affects and he may offer a less powerful version or even a different statin - and after all, the doctor are encouraged to give pills rather than an alternative as its easier and cheaper. Period. Not what is best for the patient, but what is best at getting you out of the surgery.

What they do not do is offer a Dietician to help teach you alternative foods that help lower cholesterole WITHOUT having to take a tablet riddled with side affects and the reason they do not offer this - COST - and LAZINESS.

NHS advice outlines how some people may be able to reduce their cholesterol levels through lifestyle changes and consequently avoid needing to take statins. High cholesterol, the service explains, is mainly caused by eating fatty foods, insufficient physical activity, being overweight, smoking and drinking alcohol, although it can also run in families.

The NHS warns: "Too much cholesterol can block your blood vessels. It makes you more likely to have heart problems or a stroke. High cholesterol does not usually cause symptoms. You can only find out if you have it from a blood test."

Guidance recommends you can reduce your cholesterol by limiting fatty foods - particularly those containing high levels of saturated fat - and including more fruit and vegetables, nuts and seeds, brown rice and grains, olive oil, and oily fish in your diet. You should also try to complete at least 2.5 hours of exercise weekly, with the NHS suggesting activities such as walking, swimming and cycling to start with.

Smoking can also increase cholesterol, and the NHS additionally advises reducing alcohol intake. This means consuming no more than 14 units of alcohol weekly, steering clear of binge drinking, and ensuring several alcohol-free days throughout the week.

However, some individuals will also require statins. The majority of people who take statins manage them effectively, experiencing minimal or no side effects.

A GP may suggest you start taking statins if you have been diagnosed with a type of cardiovascular disease (CVD) such as coronary heart disease or angina. Statins may also be prescribed if your personal and family medical history indicates you're at risk of developing CVD at some point over the next 10 years - particularly if lifestyle changes have failed to bring that risk down.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY DOCTORS THAT THIS IS THE ONLY WAY FORWARD

You make, and take, from the news that which you wish to see and hear. You observe what you want and comment of things that affect you personally. If you don't like something, do not read it and move on but do not shy away from what IS going on in the world of which - you are a part. World news is so easy to find these days and differing opinions not hard to find. Having an opinion is vital and being a ' don't care' person helps no one. So open your mind - open your heart - open your awareness and ALWAYS be open to new ideas.
