The fugures above are the number of readers who clicked onto our web site on Sunday 12th April 2025 .

During the week, especially for some reason, Monday mornings at 10am, is the busiest time for the web site when thousands more click and read.

It always astounds me the people who connect with us from all over the world, and this basic list does not mention the countries that get less than a dozen hits, which are numerous.

An average hotel of our size - gay or straight, get around 500 hits A YEAR to their web site - as once you have seen the rooms and the prices, the venue itself and maybe the surroundings, what else draws you back to the site over and over again - NOTHING.

Hamilton Hall gets millions of Page hits a year and as above, an average Sunday gets over 4,000 hits alone, and that is just one day of the week.

We receive e mails from all over the world and really lovely e mails sharing how much they love the look and feel of Hamilton Hall and wishing there was somewhere like it local in their country, and it never fails to amaze that when something IS local, it is not used to the max available. I suppose many take it for granted and once gone, wonder why they never helped keep it open.

Like the High Street with all is closed shops, charity shops, coffee bars, tattoo places and hair dressers. that's basically the High Street these days,- as when we are all buying things ' on line' we cannot complain when the shops close and there is little choice left on the High Street any more, as we are all responsible.

The Newsletter was started at the beginning of lockdown as a way of keeping in touch with people, giving them something to read that was gay friendly and supportive and a little wank material for those stuck at home. It proved to be the best thing I have done in a long time. Thousands of readers each week, scores of e mails sent in reply - thankyou - and globally - is shared by tens of thousands.

From me ranting about Trump to advise on colon cancer and cholesterol - From funnies to tragic stories of LGBT abuse - from how to meditate to appeals for help in certain LGBT unfriendly countries - we are here to share whatever tickles my fancy, whatever I feel is right to share with you and whatever I feel will make you laugh, - make you cry - and make you stop and think - to consider others for a while and to regain your humanity in a world of hard noosed vile people, bad politics, shit public services, an ' up itsef' gay community , to utility companies bare backing us dry and fucking us over to pot holes not being repaired and a NHS running on empty.

Laughter.

Laughter is the best remidy to - well anything really,- and I do not mean out of disrespect at all, but if you cannot see the funny side in things then you are doomed to a lfe less worthy, a life spent in darkness and a life spent in wanting. Laughter lightens the mood, attracts those to you who also laugh and even when through the hard times, the bad times, the tough times, smiling and finding something funny in it all, does lighten the heart and lighten the road ahead.

Those who assume you are being disrespectful are the ones who deny and pull away from any kind of healing and creation of a better world as they are happy in their doom and gloom as they fear change. The only thingwe can do is - leave them in their place with the knowledge that we are here if they seek change - as you need to WANT to change and not be FORCED to change. It starts within.

So thanks to all those who read the newsletter and all those who e mail sharing their experiences and stories with us.

Thanks guys, the last 25 years has certainly been a learning curve for me and for many who surround me and thanks for it all.
