spiritually lost and confused ?

John: I hope you don't mind me writing to you in this manner. As a spiritual person running a spiritual venue, I thought you could help.

I was raised Church of England.

Parents were never that strict about it though.

I have some Jewish blood in me as well.

As an adult I stopped praying my usual prayers to Jesus etc.

Not prayed in two decades or had anything to do with the church since then, but feel lost.

Needing some base. Some centre. Some God of choice but not the God that kills and maimes and takes vengance and creates floods that kill thousands.

I do not believe that is even God.

Not the work of a Supreme Being in any manner.

More like the work of some power crazed man. ( and this was thousands of years before Trump held that mantle )

Feel empty and needing something to fill that gap.

Can you help ?

Colin W.

Dear Colin:

For anyone coming out of a Christian / Jewish background, it can be very hard to find a replacement when / after you realise the Christian version of religion, Jesus and the word of God is so MASSIVELY CORRUPTED, MISTRANSLATED AND CLEARLY ORGANISED TO GARNER THE CHURCH CONTROL, that I can understand why so may have pulled away from oranised religion and are seeking alternatives.

I myself went through such a revelation in my early 30's when I started questioning .

I asked for guidance and this book fell of a boojkstores shelves at me and was clearly meant for me to buy it, and it change dmy life.

Anyone coming from Christian background will understand this book and find much to learn.

It answers such questions as to what or who is God. What do we call God. What is Gd and what is our relationship to - not Him - not Her - but simply God.

Neal Donald Walsch was experiencing a low period in his life when he decided to write a letter to God, venting his frustrations. What he did not expect was a response. As he finished his letter, he was moved to continue writing - and out came extraordinary answers to his questions.

This work presents the answers that Walsch received, helping him to change himself, his life and the way he viewed other beings. About the Author Neale Donald Walsch is a modern day spiritual thinker whose words continue to touch the world in profound ways. With an early interest in religion and a deeply felt connection to spirituality, Neale spent the majority of his life thriving professionally, yet searching for spiritual meaning before beginning his now famous With God series that has been translated into 34 languages, and has been a bestseller for Hodder since publishing the first back in 1997.

Each of the Conversations with God books have made the New York Times Bestseller list, the original Conversations with God occupying that list for over two and half years. In response to this, Neale created the Conversations with God Foundation, a non-profit educational organisation dedicated to inspiring the world to help itself move from violence to peace, from confusion to clarity, and from anger to love. His latest book When Everything Changes, Change Everything is in the New York Times Bestsller list and made the Amazon Top 10 in its first week of publication.

A timely book, and immediately useful, Neale discusses the practical applications of God-inspired insights on the way to move on and the right reasons to do so. In the current glocal climate, this is the perfect book for anyone who feels challenged in these tough times.Married to his wife Nancy, Neale lives on a retreat site in the woods of Southern Oregon, USA.
