Trump does not grasp honor. He does not give honor. He does not honor. He is without honor.
Dedicating yourself to defend a set of values does not make sense to DJT as he is only interested in the price of everything.
I seriously think that he sees service people as pre-dead, riding “Decoy Class”, just temporary barriers between himself and trouble. This is why he needs a bunker like Hitler and Churchill. He expects the war to come to him, military people are just for parades.
Part of his disease state is that Trump has no mercy, empathy or compassion. He is interested in military supply contracts for the percentage he will gain from them.
At most, service people are commodities, ciphers, clutter to be thrown into fires as this is the only way the POTUS knows how to measure. All of the people are for sale. If you have a million bucks, you can approach him for a pardon. Here’s a contrast consideration, the differences between a human being and a bottomless pit:
