Thought of the Day on the 2nd Anniversary of Covid.

Thursday March 24th marks the second anniversary of the UK’s first Covid lockdown

HAMILTON HALL OFFERS YOU A LITTLE THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Time to reflect and consider where we have been

and how we have acted and where we go from here moving forward.

Let's take a moment to thank the Universe that we have made it -

we are still breathing and still arguing and still complaining

and still over eating and drinking and moaning we are bored

and laughing and meeting friends face to face again and glad to get back to work to get away from the family

and shops are open, no queues, while business cuts down on the service offered and blame Covid while just cutting costs - and cutting staff

and many have started having a sex life again

H O O R A Y

and we want it all to get back to how it as before.

NEWSFLASH : BUT IT WILL NEVER BE HOW IT WAS BEFORE.

Let's take a moment to give thanks, and to think about all those who have died of Covid, or from anything this last two years where families could not attend dying relatives or even their funeral,

Many elderly died alone with no visits from family allowed,

Depression, mental health and despair set in for many

Isolation is a killer and many felt its affects.

And here we are - writing - reading this - two years later.

We have all been through the wars - and now we have another war to concern us as well,

So buckle up your seat belts, stock up on food and supplies, and at any time if this all gets too much for you

and you need an escape and some laughter and understanding in the madness that surrounds,

Hamilton Hall is here, and open when legally allowed,

standing strong and secure for you all and not, like many organisations, gay or otherwise,

running for the hills and taking all the governments money with us - a steal -

We are here for YOU like very few actually are - as it's not about money or fame or anything but YOU.

We do our best and expect respect not abuse, - love not hate - friendship not venom,

understanding that everything goes two ways as WE have been through it all as well,

and no ones story is any greater, any bigger, or more heart rendering, that anyone elses, and respecting how

EVERYONE HAS SUFFERED AND NOT JUST YOU

helps us all muster forward together on this

2ND ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST LOCKDOWN ON MARCH 24th 2020

and with positive thinking, the year ahead has not been written or thought or created until WE put our minds together and create the world we want to live in.

It's all up to you - and I hope Hamilton Hall is part of your journey.

With love.

John Bellamy

Wonderful words and meanings John and how true. You certainly have a way of writing that I love.

John: You sure have a way with words., And so well put together and speaks to my heart. Well done and so thoughtful. Of all the gay groups I am a member of, not one single group has bothered to keep in touch throughout this pandemic - BUT YOU HAVE JOHN with your weekly Blog.

You truly are a gay pioneer and one to show so many how they should behave within our gay community. Shameful so many are so selfish. Richard

Ah how true all your comments are. I hope to continue my journey with Hamilton Hall and you in mind.

Self discovery is always going on. You are never too old to learn.

As ever,

Tony

Dear John,

It's Stuart ... It's been a few years since I last dropped in to say hi so I'm not sure if you remember me or not, but to refresh your memory I live locally a short walk away and used to drop in to hang out from time to time. Attached a pic to jog your memory.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that even though life and circumstances have not conspired to me coming over, your regular email updates have been appreciated none the less.

I love the way you make me smile, laugh and sometimes think about things from another perspective. I also like the way you are not afraid to address the difficult subjects.

I always enjoyed that aspect about coming to see you, that there was a bloody good conversation to be had that was more than skin deep.

You're a good un you are John... and I still think fondly of you and the times I have enjoyed in yours and others company there... and not just because of the email updates... so I just wanted to write you a little note to say hello and thank you and spread a lil love.

I'm glad to see that Hamilton Hall has survived the last 2 years and I'd like to wish you continued success and happiness moving forward.

With much love and a big hug brother.

Stuart xx
