Easter is a time of the Spring Solstace when the world comes alive again after a long dark winter ( and we have had a long dark 'indoors' winter ) and it stands for fertility - the spring and summer ahead. Jesus was crucified on the cross and buried in a chamber and rose from the dead 3 days later - on the Sunday - and rose into Heaven.

The story - well we all know the childrens story made up to draw children ' into the folds' by making yet another Holy Clebration out of a previous Pagaan affair, and the church allowed us some joy - some fun in celebration of the ReBirth of Christ from the dead and when the people already celebrated at this time for Mother Earth - Gia - and the church stamped on all previous holy days with a Christian one instead and so stamping out the pagaan beliefs and anything that came before - and made Christianity the dominant business / er sorry - religion / belief system. It wasn't done out of love. It didn't offer joy and harmony. What is did was deliberately murder as many 'old believers' as they could find and stamp Christianity as the only corrct one and if you spoke against, it would be the bonfire after torture for you.
