LGBT - Q ?

I do not now - or ever - associated with the word 'QUEER'

.In 1970 when I came out as gay - at 15 years of age and when the gay scene was quite new - having only been legalized 3 years earlier - it was all new.

Homophobes called us QUEER and as the word queer means -,strange; odd.

So - as the word QUEER is interchangeable with the words above, I think more members of Parliament - More police man - More members of the church and many within every day life - can be called any of the words above so any of them can be called queer BUT NOT ONE OF THESE WORDS INDICATES A SEXUALITY LIKE GAY, BY, TRANS DOES...

Queer is a word that describes sexual and gender identities other than straight and cisgender. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people may all identify with the word queer.

Some gay men and women may consider themselves QUEER but I MOST CERTAINLY DO NOT. Queer means something is not right, a mistake, something is wrong, and I DO NOT CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE WRONG IN ANY WAY so why on God's Earth has some idiot somewhere placed it on the LGBTQ banner ?

We are not re claiming the word and making it our own - like the word FAGGOT.

We are not taking a bad word and making it good.

Queer is generally wrong.

Is it saying that all people who associate with the word QUEER - are wrong in society, misplaced, in error, not healthy, not fulfilled ?

I MOST CERTAINLY do not associate with the word QUEER at all and to those who assume it is okay, WRONG.

IT'S JUST ANOTHER DAMNED LABEL MADE UP BY AN LGBT WITH ATTITUDE WHO BELIEVES IN LABELING EVERYONE AND ALL THIS IS MEANT TO DO IS SPLIT US APART. IT DOES NOT BRING A COMMUNITY TOGETHER, IT FRAGMENTS IT EVEN MORE.
